How does this happen? How long has she been like this?
I will never understand how an animal comes to be in such terrible condition.
She was brought to the Vet. She looked awful and so very afraid. Her skin was even worse than we were expecting. Her eyes were cloudy.
We could see every bone in her body even under the thick layer of hardened scabs. The smell… it was overwhelming. We decided to name her Blondie.
Sweet girl has mange. She was treated with an oral medication to kill the mites under her skin.
Her back has a high arch and she experiences lameness of the back legs when she walks. Blondie really did love the other little girls. She followed them around for few minutes before she retreated back to her safe spot.
She is still very afraid of people. As much as I want to hold her and love on her.

I cannot stop crying over this poor darling abused and tortured baby girl 😢 Why/how do humans (if that’s what they are)treat any animal so badly? I just can’t 😭 I have no words 🤬
I'm not trying to make excuses for any individual who may have responsibility for this ... but perhaps the poor little girl has lived her whole life on the streets and has never actually been "owned" by anyone.

This poor baby looks so bad and I'm certain she is not feeling that great. I never will understand how a dog gets so bad before anyone can see that she needs help real fast. Thank you all for helping her skin recover and helping her emotionally you can see her trembling. As her skin was healing she was healing emtionally also. Blonde has it right! We humans cry and are always so negative. Blonde is happy with life after all her demons, and suffering she was put through! We need to be more like this courageous little angel and put the demons behind us and move on and be happy.

I'm really happy and relieved that this dog is being taken care of properly AND this dog was NOT "sobbing"! Dogs don't sob. I'm sure the dog appreciates the affection and I'm happy that the dog is feeling loved. Dogs do not sob. Please stop with the nonsense. People in the rescue community need to be taken seriously so more animals can be helped. Stop humanizing dogs and let them be dogs.
They most certainly do sob with grief. I’ve seen it myself. You need to stop being so callous.

If you think they do you do not know the definition of the word sob (look it up if you don't believe me). I wish the music wasn’t so loud. God bless you. I adopted a chihuahua who had mange, mites and scabies. He was 4.5 pounds. Could see all his ribs. He grew all his hair back and it’s very thick. He is now 14 pounds, a little chunky Lol. He’s 16 and in great health. I love this dog more than anything. Watching your video brought tears to my eyes. I rolled over and covered my Rex in kisses.
