I can’t remember the last time I saw such a good performance by an Illini QB. Maybe have to go back as far as Kittner. Receivers were getting open (maybe Indiana just isn’t good in pass coverage). O-line provided really good protection. Paddock mad some really good throws. Bielema said Altmyer has been cleared to play. At this point, I think you have to stay with the hot hand. Iowa is going to present a much tougher defense than we saw today. The one thing Altmyer brings to the table are his legs, which might be needed against Iowa. Don’t know if Padddock can run, but didn’t need him to run today.

I think you know my take on this. I’ve been advocating for Paddock on UA-cam since fall camp started. This didn’t surprise me. I knew what he was capable of. A 133 year old record was broken by this young man. This staff made a huge mistake by not naming Paddock QB1. They should be ashamed of themselves.
If John Paddock was 2 inches taller then he would be the first round NFL QB. The Bears should still draft Paddock. He is cunning, has high football IQ and his throw is dead accurate. The Bears don't need super athelete who has no brain instead get this smart accurate pocket passer. He reminds me of Aeron Rogers.
