Retired 30 year driver here. You have the right temperament and perspective on other "bad drivers". You took every event in stride and stayed focused. That alone will serve you well and allow you to have a long successful and happier career driving. Best of luck!

You did pretty good, Bob. My wife & I spent 23 years out there driving team. The last 12 years with a rig 75 ft long, bumper to bumper, powered by a 320 inch wheelbase, W900 Kenworth, a real “Give me 40 acres and I'll turn this rig around" outfit. One time we had to back into the Central Post Office in downtown Manhattan, New York City. You're doing good, keep at it. Really enjoy your videos. Richard

I don't drive anymore, but watching this brought back all the memories and the stress of driving in areas like that. Good job!!

6 seconds in & I knew right where you were. I can’t believe any of those business on that road & that whole area would get shipments from trucks that size. But they do. Very rough roads & they increasingly get worse as you go south.

Nice driving Bob! It’s impressive to see how you always prioritize the safety of others and other’s property in your work.

Hard to believe that was 18 months ago. Can almost that blindfolded now. 😉

It takes guts to go into detroit with any vehicle, let alone a semi. Props to ya. You shoulda drove like most truckers do in and around detroit Bob. Just run up on the curb, into oncoming lanes and swung that last right turn by turning from the next lane over from the turn lane. I've been down there more times than I care to remember and have seen some rather crazy truck driving. Sounded like your GPS/Nav called Schoenherr "show en her". It's shane-er..... silly GPS LOL

Haha,... I just thought to my self, the one 'thumbs down' here ( at this time ) must have been from that s.o.b. who blasted his horn at the lights back there!
I tell you what though, Bob, I was twisting and turning here in my office chair, trying to back up, using your mirror there!
Good job though ( of course! )

No, you use your truck to stop people from passing you, as a trucker you should know that, some situations, you just gotta hog up an extra lane

Really not a good way to get that one done, Warren has an older infrastructure that doesn’t accommodate today’s trucks. Coming from the north (l-696) would have avoided bumpy and slow 8 mile but that’s about it.

What about a drone that flies above the truck and displays aerial video on a screen on the dash. How about trailer steering. Why aren't technology issues addressed in this industry?
