Thanks to the UA-camrs whose footage I used alongside my own to throw together this ghoulish video! The UA-camrs in question are:
ghost619, The Slow Mo Highs, Eclectic Media Channel, footageisland, ABC, and J. Quil.
Was supposed to have this video out on Tuesday but my hands got temporarily fucked up, heal me with views and comments
Boneworks video next
Oooo nice
Hope you feel better! Take all the time you need between videos!
Wait? Are you saying you're reviewing bone works or your hand bones will work next video?
@@benjaminfoley919 yes
feel better my lord
"lit on the green when they greenlit this shit" I'm sorry I didn't realize william shakespeare was still alive
Ayo it's my main man KBash
This is some dr Seuss meets Shakespeare type shit
Kbash, I think you'd like the Otogi games. You should check 'em out.
What does being a zombie entail besides entrails
@@timmothyjennings Verily af.
Looks like a "Destroy all humans" type game but instead of being a Alien you are a Zombie killing Humans...really cool game.
Yeah I miss games like this. Prototype 1 and 2. Or possession which never came out where you play a black dreadlock zombie giving direct commands to zombies
Exactly friend it was pure chaos
The question is do the dead bodies disappear? In destroy all humans they don’t, which is a big part of the appeal.
Yes exact feel of this game in my opinion i still play destroy all humans i have not been able to find Stubbs though
@@AbuHajarAlBugatti Holy shit! I remember seeing pre alpha footage for that!, Wow I feel old now
I feel like the "Food for thought, thought for food" joke was planned four years in advance or some shit like that
The punchline is that its actually funnier now
He's admitted stuff like that before, lmao.
Beggars can eat choosers.
I prefer jokes that were planned after they were already said.
@@fuzzydunlop7928 Choosers can choose beggars
Ah Stubbs, one of those classic games that explained more of its story in the instruction manual than it did in the actual game. I miss those days.
I miss the days they needlessly included the characters blood type cos of japanese supersticion.
Instruction manuals used to damn near border strategy guides back then. I still collect for og Xbox and I won't buy any games from that era without manuals.
Kinda weird that it also uses the same engine as Halo CE, but is still so different.
This is one of those games thats actually underrated
I would say witcher 3 is more of a underrated gem
@@niggacockball7995 Never heard of her.
@@niggacockball7995 Witcher 3 won game of the year and is what assassins creed completely changed their series to mimic. It’s widely regarded as an amazing RPG that got its devs a reputable name before they released cyberpunk. I don’t think it’s underrated.
needs a remaster
Also underrated and in the same vibe as Stubbz: Dead Head Fred.
I have literally NEVER met or chatted with someone else that's played it and it was my fav game next to Death Jr and Jean De Arc on PSP.
OOOOH WAIT... i guess I just only play underrated games....
Honestly, I've been preaching the praises of Stubbs since 2005 and I'm just so happy it's gotten some recognition
Same. Ever since I was a little kid this has been one of my favorites. We need a cod finest hour remaster ASAP.
Took me until I was in middle school before I could finally find this game for under $100 in my state. Still cost me $40 dollars though
I thought I was the only one who’s seen hobo with a shotgun XD
That movie is something else....
Crazy ass flick for sure
Back when Netflix had random wackyass gems you could watch with your friends over xbl. Everybody queuein’ up to figure out what the fuck “A Good Day to be Black and Sexy” is all about.
@@fuzzydunlop7928 ok, i have to look that up
Ill never look at an arcade cabinet the same.
Nothing brings a smile to my face more than seeing a purposeless rabbitholes video
Babe wake up Purposeless Rabbitholes posted
"Sorry babe, the purposeless rabbithole video stays on."
"Yes bea..."
omg thx babe
This is the kind of relationship that I desire.
Baby, wake up, *Michael Revees posted a video!*
i kinda used to think this game took place in the same universe as Destroy All Humans
Zombie: Combat Evolved... _Anniversary Edition_
Extreme!!!
You just unlocked a long lost memory of mine. I've been trying to find this game for nearly a decade but I gave up because I just couldn't remember the name. Thank you sm!
Stubbs was my introduction to video games. Saw him on UA-cam back when I first got a computer. Im so happy to see him come back in such spectacular fashion
A wonderful place to start your gaming career
I knew this would be coming. Thanks for not disappointing me Charlie
The only UA-camr I watch no matter what he talks about. SALUTE TO THE HOMIE CHARLIE
Literally hahaha it can be a game I have but I’ll still watch him lol
Hate*
Anyday
thanks for making this video they finally rereleased this game
edit: in the booklet they say the player 2 is named grubbs the zombie, also my favorite death call was when you take over someone they sometimes say "unHAND me!"
Now all we need is a look back on Jaws Unleashed lol
It’s on the list! Right up there with Scarface: The World is Yours.
@@PurposelessRabbitholes think you could throw the Evil Dead and Thing games on the list too?
The Thing game is definitely on there too, played it through for the first time last year and I enjoyed the fuck out of it. The Thing is just about my favorite movie though so I’m slightly biased. Haven’t played the Evil Dead games but I gotta check em out
Man-eater is pretty good
@Murty Birdy neither is Jaws unleashed which is what I am replying to the original comment
"I don't know who drugged who, but, somebody was lit on green when they greenlit this shit". Had me balling my eyes out, maybe cause I was lit on the green. You sir deserve an award, and have my respect lol.
Best game from my childhood I bought it recently for Xbox one and it still cracks me up
Can't believe it took me three years to notice this on Steam. Never got the chance back in the day, but its every brai... I mean, every bit the fun those old playthroughs made it look.
I got this game for free years ago, and I'm installing it right now due to your video!
Thanks, and Happy Holidays! 🎉
Happy holidays to you too, hope you have fun with the game!
Was this the first strand type game? It’s about building connections and you can pee in it
Hideo Kojima stole from Stubbs the Zombie, you heard it here first!
Years later still loving this game and jamming to the banger music
one of the best games I had in my childhood (13 years old) I remember I finished all the difficulty modes including cooperative mode where I had to beg my older brother to play with me u_u because I was a rat kid at that time for him, I played it on the xbox version where stubbs couldn't run if you didnt walk atleast 3-4 secs, very different on pc where you ran instantly, my god I remember how I hated that they killed my zombies, I remember doing my best to keep as many of them alive as possible. Today I still play it at my 28 years old...as a fan and someone who has already tried the game on differents platforms, I can advise you to play it on the pc version, where more enemies are added to the levels depending on the difficulty of the game, something that in xbox was different from what I remember.
I say goodbye and I hope you enjoy this great game as I do.
I have played Stubbs the Zombie countless times, and it will never get old.
And if someone dares say it needs a remake, then you are wrong.
Stubbs is the best zombie we could hope for
When I was a kid I would search every single one of my local gamestops for this game. I never found it but now it has found me.
I don't even know when or where I played this game on the original Xbox but it alwas stuck with me. Thanks for the review. I ordered the Switch version just now.
I see that copy of Spy vs Spy, Charlie. You’re not letting that one slip on me.
That game was lit too
This is my first time watching this channel's videos, and I am glad it was an entertaining game available on the only console I own because I'm poor - the Switch.
This man could talk about paint drying for an hour and i would still watch all the way through
We know you would.
His voice is so relaxing I could easily fall asleep listening tbh
In 2005 before this game came out the zombie games i thought of was resident evil. But every time i hear zombie game this is the first that comes to mind.
I remember hearing this game literally only because it was built with the Halo engine and I thought it was cool, but then I played the same demo and what I got was one of the most fun and silly zombie experiences I've ever had and I went out and bought the game immediately. If I had to compare it to something, Destroy All Humans comes to mind, and honestly I'm surprised they never made sequels but maybe this re-release will drum up some hope.
I usually hate UA-cam commentary but this channel Is fantastic
“When I think of the greatest zombie game ever... I think of Dying Light”
Finally, a man of culture and taste
“And he smokes.... because he’s fucking cool!” Sent me rollin
Played this co-op back in the day, and you just can't recreate being 12 and playing a zombie game with your buds.
I play the game when i was a little kid AND i love It.
AND now when i have 22 years old i wait for a sequel that i know he never came out.
Stubbs is probably the most Charismatic Zombie i have ever seen in my life.
...i love this silly game.
Somehow I missed this one as a kid and heard about it later but never played it. Just picked it up yesterday and it’s so good idk what I was doing.
Every time you release a video I just scroll past it without thinking until I realize it was one of yours at which point I immediatly go and watch it several times over.
The developer commentaries scattered throughout the levels make you love this game more once you hear how much love and passion went into it.
The bad guy is ALWAYS big business. But we knew that already.
Great video as always man :)
This was the first video I've ever watched of yours and I gotta comment to say it was really well made, thorough, and funny.
I remember playing this game back 2007 on my xbox. Its alot like destroy all humans but with zombies.
Oh man I'm so happy you uploaded. Worlds looking super bleak and your videos always make my day way better
I literally accidentally found and looked this game up once. Never heard of it before. Now I’m getting dozens of videos on it
I saw the “Lolipop trailer” and I thought it was pretty cool, but this is the first time I heard about it since
One of the two Charlies on UA-cam who like resident evil 6 still does not disappoint
“TimeSplitters Future Perfect” a Game that definitely needs a fucking remaster or just a simple rerelease on all consoles
Amen!
Genuinely phenomenally put together man. Very good, nice funny jokes and well made = very good. Very good work
I really appreciated the Balloon Shop reference
This video is bringing back all sorts of nostalgia
Legit one of the only comments even recognizing it. Miss em :/
Your video was so entertaining and I remember seeing this game back in the day cheers for covering this forgotten game
The scientists said something along the lines of "god is he done talking yet" lol
This was a really good video. i haven't seen anything stubbs the zombie related since i watched a playthrough of it in 2010, thanks for the nostalgia trip!
we deserve a full on remaster. i remember my dad renting me this from the video store when i was like 5 lol
First video of yours I found and already enjoying the hell out of you. Stay hilarious
“Zombies ate my neighbors” will always be the best zombie game to me haha
Second Core Memory Unlocked
Actually one of my top youtubers!! I could listen to you talk about broccoli and not get bored
I was literally just bingeing this channel
I don't know if you'll see this but I instantly bought this game when it went on sale because it is a "Charlie game" and oh my God it's so good
I used to love this game as a kid I thought it was a fever dream of mine
Yes finally people talking about this beauty of a game.brings back so many good memories as a kid using the original Xbox brick console and those big ass controllers
YES. one of my fav games ever, people thought i’d made it up for years because no one seemed to know what i was talking abt 😭
Omg same, i remembered only bits of the game and i started thinking i fuckin hallucinated that game as a kid, i searched for that game but i never found it, but the game found me
I have to sincerely thank you Charlie. I haven’t been able to fill my need for brains since I was a mere child, and when I saw this video, hope was reborn in me. I was finally able to revisit this gem. I actually first experienced this marvel of a game on the same Xbox Magazine Demo Disc as you did, back in the day. I was filled with nostalgia and joy as I hobbled around Punchbowl and munched on the protein of other people’s thoughts. You actually do videos on all of the best games I honestly had forgotten about over the years like Path of Neo, Concrete Jungle, and that one Wolverine game. Again, I thank you for all your videos and hope you continue to make more.
The jokes in this video were killing me non stop there was not a single one that didn't make me laugh like an idiot
That does seem like one helluva soundtrack considering the talent on that thang! Cake released one of the biggest his of all time back in MY day! ......That I only actually finally truly listened to a few months back. The Distance being the song I'm referring to and likely the one they are most widely known for. It's not hard to understand why because it was one of those defining songs of it's generation and still holds up very well to my unrefined earholes.
It reminded me of the PSP classic Dead Head Fred, you must check it out, it's a hidden gem.
Hell yeah dude! That's another undead adventure I'd love to see come to the Switch, if not receive a sequel.
Good ass game
This game was my childhood. I never played it but on my free time when I was younger I would watch videos on this game. I vividly remember every segment of the game and which level I liked the most. Once I saw that remastered trailer I.. lost... my.... mind. I love this game with a passion and I hope I get to play it eventually.
soon man, soon
Awesome video bro.
That lobby jingle has been stuck in my head for years and I couldn’t place where I heard it until this moment. Thank you.
He has returned!
I'm not surprised that you made a video on Stubbs. I knew this game would pull you in momentarily. Love your work as always.
Bought it two times just to show my love and support
I just beat this game like 20 minutes so I can finally watch this video
I’m surprised it took you so long to decide to make a full video about this game
It’s been on the list for probably 2+ years now haha. Just felt like I could never find enough to say about it to fill a whole video, but the rerelease forced my hand. If I was ever gonna make a Stubbs video, it would have to be now. Think it turned out alright!
@@PurposelessRabbitholes thank you for validating my opinion, Mr. UA-cam Man.
That's a sub for using Hey Ben. It's been years since I watched Balloon Shop, but some skits are burned into my head.
Fuck my science lesson. I'm watching this shit instead. Love this content so much lol. Literally one of my biggest inspirations
You dont need science when you have GOD 🙏.
One of my favourite games when I was a kid
Those puns man!.... They made me transcend!
I love when I see these videos come out. So glad I came across this channel a while ago. Keep up the excellent work talking mostly about weird/niche games.
Bad Day L.A is another comedy gem
Man, seeing like half of the Spy V.S. Spy cover art under your copy of Stubbs just brought back a lot of childhood memories.
Finally, Stubbs gets the video he deserves.
HOLY SHIT. IT'S THE ONEEEEEEEEEE.
A long, long, long time ago, I came across several trailers and gameplay from this game. When I tried finding it again, I just COULDN'T, and now, IT'S BACK. THANK YOU SO MUCH.
Stubbs the Zombie is basically Return of the Living Dead: The Game, and I'm cool with that.
Send. More. Sequels.
Except the soundtrack is nowhere near as good as ROTLD's.
@@Largentina. Yeah, Stubbs could benefit from having some 45 Grave and the Cramps.
When I was a little kid I was scared to death of zombies, like I couldn't be in the same room or much as hear a zombie groan I was so scared of them. I saw this game in a video game rental place, to give you the feel of the time, my parents told me flat out that if I had nightmares from it. After a few hours of playing, I lost my fear of zombies. One can only say "stupid zombies" before you lose any fear of something you now know is only scary in large numbers. Also, yes, the soundtrack is amazing and I loved the hidden hippo heads that have Designer Commentary, it's something that you don't really see anymore in games. I felt the people that made it really enjoyed creating it from hearing the audio, I personally enjoy it when creators put in hidden stuff to reward the player for exploring their games
Tapped this shit as fast as I could
Bro you rock. Personality galore. I haven't subscribed to anyone inna long time but I will definitely be a part of your community 😌✌
this game has kickass soundtrack
A blast from the past to me, haven't even remembered its name until now. All I can remember is that lollipop song.
Hell yeah dude!
The little big planet music in the background. Respect.
Pizza Time
What a timeless classic. I remember playing this on the 360 via the originals store.
🤘
🤘
🤘
I was not expecting a Balloonshop throwback. "Hey Ben" was one of the first UA-cam videos I remember watching. That made my day lmao
Balloonshop, i got major nostalgia hit when i saw this shit.
May this comment bring you healing brother
This was my favorite game as a kid. The nostalgia is really strong seeing this
Dear God The last time was this early *insert bad joke here*
The “From Humble Beginnings” edit was legend - loved the vid
