For the people that didn't play Arcane in Tomb of Sargeras. The rotation: 1) Opener: like in the video 8:42 2) Conserve Phase (stay between 40% 60% mana) 'Mini Burn' = Barage + Charged Up combo RoP as shown in the video. (You can use MoE as a mana charger) 9:34 3) When AP, RoP and PoM are off CD, you apply the Burst. Before Burst, make sure you use the Barage + Charged Up combo, like on the opener but without the second RoP 8:53 4) Start Burn Phase (When 10-15 sec left on Evocation) Repeat Step 2, 3 and 4 until' the boss is dead :)
Question about the conserve phase if you don't have Kilt. If you don't have any rooms or Mark of aluneth, do you just build up your Arcane charges to 4 with blast and then, if you have no Arcane missiles, Arcane barrage and repeat? Basically my question is are you dumping Arcane charges at 4 during the conserve phase?
A tip i think a lot of viewers would appreciate is that you use a addon like TrifiGCD that shows spells used. I had a bit of trouble following the rotation when its so fast paced :P

I know I'm late on this but I just got my mage to 110 got him up to about 860il in a day and I am doing roughly 900k to 1.1mil dps single target...I love arcane. Thanks for the video.
Can you post an updated version of your WA string please? In the WA you have doesnt show arcane missiles neither arcane barrage. And its very diferent from this one.

Sentinel Owl 925 outsims a 945 terminus signal beacon by about 80k dps for me on ST. Reviewing logs seems to have it come out at roughly 85%~ of the damage done by the owl continously.

Hey newer arcane mage here, i kind of accidentally stumbled upon my interest for the arcane mage on my quest to collect all of the mage tower appearances (im at 26/36) and im finding that i actually like it a lot, admittedly i don't know too much in the way of handling the spec just yet but i can definitely see (judging by the numbers) that im getting the hang of it. Now my question is, given that im a newer mage in general, I obviously lack many essential legendaries. However, I am lucky enuff to have received the shard of the exodar but my only other legendaries are kil'jaedens burning wish, insignia of the grand army, and the crafted shoulders. For right now the best combination (for me) is going to be the grand army ring and the shard ring, so what should i expect out my arcane mage after tier 21? Generally I don't like playing classes that rely too heavily on legendaries in order to be relevant, so Im just trying to make sure im not gonna be forced to drag myself over a bed of nails trying to get one of over 10 possible legos i could get. I find that even after legos becoming purchaseable that the rate of acquisition is still a pain in the ass.
P.S. just in case some of you might think otherwise about the rate that we get the legos, yes it is still too long. We are at the end of the expansion anyway and with the current and last tier having been out for a few months at this point i honestly dont think it would hurt anything to just let us steamroll thru to getting all the legos. Its the least they could after making such a shit system.
Hi @ Evil Tim, To be honest I would never reroll to mage or start playing mage, simply because of how limited mage is without legendaries. Arcane without the Talent Ring, Kilt and Orb Shoulders feels pretty lackluster. I can only advice you to stay and play one spec and hopefully cycle through some lego's and get the BIS ones. :)
Currently I play T21 4 set with kilt and the Talent ring. Only in mythic+ I use 2 set T20 bcs of the Resonance talent. Only in M+ I play double ring in raids I feel better playing Kilt. Which takes up a tier slot so it's impossible to play with 6 tier pieces.

Glardok I play with mystic Kilt so I can even push it to 20% mana and MoE will also gief mana back. The conserve phase is the same as in ToS :). The only thing that has changed is the opener with the barage charge up combo before the RoP AP window.

Of course I always check Alterd time when I 'm making my mage guides. This one you showed is from the mindset of 1. Using double ring and T20 2 piece. For starters the guide is almost 4 months old and right now everyone plays 4 set T21 and on most fights people play kilt instead of double ring. :)
This explains nothing and I don't see your arcane charges at all. How the hell are you dumping all of you mana, you ended your video with 50% mana, what am I suppoed to do, walk around the raid and offer mana buns? This spec is unplayable.

Mr.Chow well it was the early LFR and heroic dungeons I was basing it off...I never said I was in Antorus at 860 up pulling 1.1 mil dps.

terminus signing beacon is very good for ST a heroic version will most likly beat a base mythic owl

This guide should be titled "In depth". People coming to this video want the basics. Not rotations with specific talents, sets, and trinkets in mind.

As Arcane Beacon is hands down the best even for ST, shouldn't you find a decent Ilevel OWL go for Norganons and Beacon in almost any situation :)

Frost, It's the least legendary dependant of the three and arguably the easiest one to get into
Hi @ Fun2iceu, Frost is the most easy one. However I think that Fire and Frost are to RNG based, so for most fights I play Arcane :)
