The bonkers part was when Bing chat had "existential" freakouts and there was a group of people on Reddit arguing it was alive, when really it'd linear algebra and matrxes had been applied to Tumblr blog posts with reckless abandon as much as Wikipedia. At least we're much past that, and most technical people are inclined to understand it's not "intelligent", but we're about to hand a live grenade to Joe Public. Every FaceBook mom, weird uncle, and grandparent who barely understands what a web page is, every bored teenager.... is about to have it baked into their devices. It's gonna be a really wacky year or two.
I really like how you broke it down. It will be very interesting to see how far it will develop. Do you think technology will ever get to the point where it will think? Scientifically, they don’t yet understand how the brain works so I’m not sure how they will be able to make something that can do that.
