  • hey, welcome back to Scrap Mechanic.
from the recent episodes of using the spudgun the first time, it's time to use it out in the world of scrap mechanic. I was planning to find an old lost city but that failed. However I was able to use the gun on a farmbot from the forest.
lets make him pay for the past attacks.
enjoy and Hope you liked the video.

Tips from 1700 hours in game.
Did you know you can shift-click items to move them between your inventory and storage inventory & vice versa.?
less hassle than click dragging especially in battle situations.
Pink stuff = chemicals for concrete desert biomes house oil either of these you can use a vacuum pump connected to a switch & case to suck some up.
Maps are unfortunately procedurally generated so 2 maps are never the same.
If you're worried about getting lost just build a structure pointing back to base / turn beacon on in your logbook. :)
Those large buildings are warehouses require extreme care & that key. the last seeds you need are in the top floors gold room ;)
Spam build & jump blocks under your feet to elevate yourself to see more of your personal world.
Feed that guy around 15 cardboard for glow to make explosives, store him in water as the will un-alive on land.
Level 5 engines are very efficient & sip fuel.

Love these tips. I played when survival wasn’t in game yet.
When you mention the desert biome has oil, would the biome be pretty large (obvious)?
I’ll keep in mind to building a beacon so I won’t get lost. My concern is losing my location when finding a place.
Your telling me, I have to feed the snail cardboard (not food) to make explosives?
Lastly, I never thought of upgrading the engine to deduct fuel consumption. So if I kept at the same fuel level, there will be a difference? I would’ve thought a piston power car would be more effective.

@@DJ_Gaming543 The desert size depends on the map generation. Some desert biomes don't have oil ponds (Rare) but there's always at least one oil pond in a desert. look for a sandy area with large orange coloured rocks.
Try the jump build tactic to get high up to check the area.
if you don't have a beacon but you found a decent place you could empty your backpack of everything but one item ie a wooden block then die. That drops a "Backpack marker". it stays there forever and won't disappear unless you pick up its contents. (Who'd want a single wooden block anyway.?)
Yes, cardboard blocks around 15 of them will make the "Glow Crawler" poop out glow.
This can be used in glow sticks & explosives. Explosions can be used to mine rock nodes etc.
It needs to be in what you made but suspended in water a couple of blocks deep.
there is a lot of good wood & lights etc in the abandoned shacks.
yes, the level 5 engine uses a lot less fuel.
      ~ x10 less.
DYK The small wheels go slower but have more powder to move heavier vehicles.?
Think about a fuel container to supply the engine maybe.?
Piston powered is good and all that but extremely slow without a large unwieldy gearing up trammel gear.
Good for a first scout vehicle but meh. I'd Upgrade the gas engine and you won't look back.
Have you seen the durability of that warehouse key.? They're basically indestructible but don't stick together on many of their surfaces.
      Cheers.

@@DJ_Gaming543 oh, always carry a seat. even a toilet seat you can place it on a lift / wooden blocks to get down quickly from buildings etc. place the seat then delete the lift / block holding it then quickly jump in the seat to take zero fall damage / knockout ragdoll. 2 seats you can scale up buildings. ;)
