Superman is not really Kirk Langstrom but is suppose to symbolize Batman's fear of bats and how he views himself as a big scary bat. I think I read somewhere, there were originally plans to have Kirk Langstrom AKA Man-Bat to feature in Batman Forever but it never happened. That bat creature in the Batman Forever deleted scene was pretty scary looking especially since it looked like practical effects as a oppose to CGI effects.
