@@benisthedragon909 How annoying is he that he doesn't know anything about Clayface after his last appearance in Gotham?
Fun Fact: Brian McManamon, the actor who played Clayface in Gotham, was my acting teacher back in college!

Dude
What do you act in now?
Me looking at the title and thinking
“Clay face was in a movie”
Yeah, that Lego movie counts.
@Niyaz Kaan Dağçınar Hmm, that's not exactly a movie though.
@Niyaz Kaan Dağçınar he didn't the Lego MOVIE is a MOVIE birds of prey 2003 is a SHOW
3:08 welcome to Gotham, where even Santa's got a gun.
This is America.
2:23 that is some high class animation..well done anmation studio...you went the extra mile there
It was good
I watched this series as a child, and this still holds up … the animation is incredible. That entire series had no business being that good!
@@eros4434greatest kids show of all time
Honestly clayface has a lot of potential to be one of the deadliest villains seeing as how he can blend in a crowd and turn into anyone making it very hard to track him down.
Probably could work in the new Batman trilogy
@@Axe77777 I don't think he would be very good
@@Axe77777 he's not very realistic but they could make it so he is like a serial killer actor that would be cool

The version in "The Batman" is probably my favorite version
My favorite version of Clayface is the version from "Harley Quinn the Animated Series"
Harley Quinn Clayface is best Clayface. He's an acTORRRRRR
That show has some of he best designs, wish they included hatter, two face and scarecrow though shame about embargo

I think The Batman had a really good version of Scarface, even parts like him becoming a mecha seemed like a cool idea.
@@louis8487 actorrrrrrrrrrr
Clayface has no mercy to give up in the cartoons.
Predator Arroyo
Ah yes indeed!
He is certainly a unique villain. He could have been like a T-1000 in a Batman movie or The Thing from a 1982. movie. Too much potential.
Someone with Clayface s powers and acting skills could easily become the greatest actor of all time.
That was his plan yeah
If you think about it majority of Batman's enemies do crime for a reason not because they want to
A lot of them are sad people who got their lives ruined.
@@satanbrony9235 can you imagine is bruce did end up helping everyone of his enimnies into reforming as regular people or working with them on a full hero team
Except joker
He does it to try to get a shot at batman
In the first of the cartoons how do they know it's clay face
That’s what makes them good
Clayface: alright joker what's the plan
Penguin: eeeeeeeEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
I want to see him in a movie but sadly they'll go the easy route and make him in "human form" for the majority of his screen time
Actually, I'd rather they use him as a shifty shapeshifter than a huge monster. Itd make him scarier. Save the monster for the end fight
If they get the special effects crew behind Venom, I think they would make for a pretty good Clayface.
Isn't that the coolest thing about Clayface, though? That being said, I'd love it if they had scenes like in Gotham where his shape is a bit malleable and a little body horror-esque.
Our they can get the guys who animated the T-1000
@@WillieManga Do that and voice/motion capture with Ron Perlman.
2:09 this defines my favorite clayface
And animazion too. Dark Deco was the top of choice for Batman franchise, some of one great ideas of Bruce Timm for the series.

That voice
2:01 I can tell this episode was animated by the same studio that did those old scooby doo movies. It looks great.
I'd really like to see Clayface have the standalone DC treatment like a horror film like The Fly.
Also, the Ethan Bennett iteration is the one I remember the most fondly. It really made me feel the tragedy of his character.
That would be amazing!!!!!
Yeah about that he’s getting a spin off movie
Okay... Seriously...
If an Injustice 3 comes out, Clayface would fit pretty nicely in the roster.
If Deadshot and Captain Cold of all characters got into Injustice 2, Clayface has a very high chance
Yeah it would be cool
Interesting. The Batman villain I want is Mad Stan from Batman beyond
He'd be the Shang Tsung in Injustice
Please say one of his costumes is a grey clay face just for Ethan bennet
1977’s Joker in The New Adventures Of Batman sounds like one of those rich people in the 1980’s
My favourite clay face is the one from batman: Arkham city
Yeah me too, I was surprised not to see it in here and then I remembered, this video only covered cartoons, movies and TV.
Jcc2224 yeah 😂
The role of a lifetime
impact Batman animated series had on DC is still not talked about as much as it should. Clayface was terrifying and amazing. Did alot to build his character arch
One of the scariest scenes as a hit was watching clay face “die”
In which TV show. The guy “dies” quite a bit
@@justincummings8557 probably the animated series. That’s quite a disturbing scene
I think the New Batman Adventures had the best depiction of Clayface in Growing Pains. Holy shit was that episode emotional

Ron Perlman as Clayface/ Matt Hagen remains amazing before his work in Hellboy.
My favorite is still Ethan Bennett from The Batman. I know he’s not the most faithful version. But he’s just so cool.
Man, Clayface is so underrated, he’s so cool! I think it would be cool if maybe they made a movie, where there are murders in Gotham, and Batman can’t figure it out, until the big reveal that it’s Clayface. I actually had an idea for this to be an arc in my own Batman series, I posted a whole comment about it on Phil Cho’s Super Hero Family video

I did not know he was on the Birds of Prey show! It's about time Clayface be given time to shine on the big screen!

3:51 That's the actor who played the police officer from Reservoir Dogs, who gets his ear cut off.
If ClayFace appeared in the live action Batman films that would be awesome
The fact he became more sinister over the subsequent reinterpretations of him makes me want to see him again
(Exept the parts when he is a villain of only one episode and the Dc girls thingy)
Unpopular opinion, I really really really love his design in The Batman cartoon
5:08 well nobody's perfect
if you stop the video at 2:32 you can see that there is a Cameo of Cyborgs arm the. clay face is changing through his different role he played when before his tranformation.
Clayface from Batman TAS was the best. Hands down.
I personally prefer the one from the Harley Quinn Animated Series. Though BTAS is a close second.
If i remember correctly.... that was, as it often was for bat-villains, the series that made him. before that version, his shapeshifting was seen as a "gimmick" power, and not particularly interesting to work with. Boy howdy did they change that.
@@sirpranksalot1 TAS was even the birthplace of harley
It would be cool to see Clayface and Plastic Man fighting against each other.
Yea but clayface would defeat him easily
I would love to see Clayface in next Batman movie

Something I never really understood: If he can turn into anything and anyone he wants...but only wants his normal life back...why doesn't he just turn himself back into his old self and keeps his abilities a secret? Like literally almost any other Metahuman as well?
I mean seriously, he doesn't need a cure, he just needs to think
i think there are side effects. like how you see his body is squishy and drips. and the worst case of identity crisis ever
His tried that but his mind is broken plus his body drips like alot
It's described as like flexing muscles. It takes a constant effort to hold a shape, and he'd need to hold it that way and avoid any and all water for the rest of his life. also he's not very stable
Honestly I feel like clay face just wants to be normal and I feel for bad for him
6:25 I remember watching that episode as a kid

While Preston Payne is my favorite clay face, the original clay face story is one of my favorite comic stories of all time.
I was scared of Payne because he’s the melty clayface!
Look how hot ms.clayface is in that moment 11:03
Who would think that there's actually a decent character arc for Clayface in that heap of drek
Love
I am more surprise that Clayface has been around in more Batman shows than I though.
Evolution of Scooby doo
Honestly, clayface is invincible. You can’t capture him. He can become solid or liquid. He can become absolutely anything. So the videos showing him being defeated is unrealistic. I’d say clayface could be the most dangerous villain out there. If only they expressed his potential more thoroughly.
Just so you know lex Lang is the voice of Goku for the bangzoom dub of dragon ball super
That animation on the Animated Series Clayface is godlike. 😃
Hellboy voiced Clayface in the Animated Series?
Dudus...
I think ice and heat make more sense as a weakness than water does.
Imagine a batman film where there is murders that keep happening that have not been solved batman tries to find which villian did it he sees loads of his enemies but he knows they didn't do it then at the end when batman thought he got the right criminal Alfred or Robyn and other side characters semi important to the film have revealed to be clayface and his many forms then batman and clayface have a good fight but in the fight batman got thrown into one of his cameras that started a fire and then clayface gets punched posing as Batman's dead dad and then he tripped after being punched so he goes on fire and the clay is melted I love movies so I made this comment tell me if it is alright
13 minutes of glory, thanks man
Evolution of Justice League?
Evolution of Teen Titans?
6:10 there's two clayface?
Yes, first it was Ethan Bennet, an original character, best friend of Bruce Wayne.
The second is the more well known Basil Karlo.
So how was 1977 clayface supposed to stay together in the water
Literally my first question. I guess Hagen was more...solid back then...?
Simple, its was the 70s, nothing made sense but drugs. Lots and lots of drugs
Clayface is a weird Character because it's always either he enjoys the crime and the disguises he can make or he wants to be normal
It depends on the iteration (there's been like tons of people with the name and powers) and how is written.
9:09 animation error. Nightwing’s head clips through clay face
1:40 Fuck man this is so funny I’m not sure why Joker’s voice here is so booming and poorly mixed and the cadence is so unnatural and Clayface just ungorillafies
Evolution of black mask
The animated Bat Man series with Kevin Conroy fighting Clay Face better than any other it also shows good personality as well I'm sure Clay Is not finished yet because like Poison Ivy he keeps returning a lot
9:15 to me he’ll always be the lesser known villain False Face
