You know how much i love watching the interviews with Joe, Peter & Andrew.....especially seeing how they pertains to Roger Barrett..... keep on going buddy.....Be Well.....😎
Thanks John for all the wonderful material you allow us to enjoy. Occasionally I allow myself to wonder as to how the Joe Boyd Piper would have sounded….
Joe Boyd worked with an incredible number of incredible people. Love your work John, Im watching the Fletcher Prouty videos of yours. Hoping you have some unreleased footage of an interview with of John Marks or Seymore Hersh during the Church committee or Rockefeller investigation…or something on Army Dr. Van Murray Sim at Edgewood Arsenal or anything on chemical warfare research they did.
Always fascinating, wish you could interview Alice Cooper and find out more about an electric shock to the face Syd suffered from a microphone onstage apparently the night before American Bandstand where Syd was indeed very frazzled looking. According to Alice someone in Floyd put a shell shocked Syd into a corner to just be laughed at instead of taken to hospital and i'm wondering if it was Roger?
A quote, odd how Waters never acknowledges it happened then pushes a somewhat misleading reason for Syds U.S breakdown, "Cooper also told The Rock Radio com that he knew something was really wrong with Barrett at one of the gigs: "I remember the one night ? and in fact, I mentioned this to (PINK FLOYD singer-bassist) Roger Waters, and he says, 'That was the night we knew Syd was in a lot of trouble mentally' ? during their first song, he hits a chord, and he gets a shock, and then he just stops playing. The rest of the set, he just stands there and stares, for about an hour-and-a-half. Never played another note ? just stood there and stared. And the band just played." Alice says he was spiked with hash by Floyd though it's not clear who instigated it, i'm wondering if some roadie decided to "prank" them back and Syd copped the "joke" though someone else with a sick sense of "humour" in Floyd might have been responsible for the spiking and if Syd was callously put in a corner like a "dunce" when required medical help by someone in Floyd was it also Waters? we need Mason here.
@@JOHNEDGINTONDOCUMENTARIES I got the quote from a discussion in Neptune Pink Floyd titled "ALICE COOPER Remembers SYD BARRETT". Great how you talk to all the people who mattered btw, top quality stuff.

It was said that Waters decided to throw a fit onstage and smash his bass up at that gig.
