Box! Baltimore City FD full house run for fire at Jobtown

- Опубліковано 9 гру 2022
- We are at quarters of Baltimore City Fire Department Engine 8, Truck 10, Battalion 3, and Medic 15, known as Jobtown, at 1503 West Lafayette Avenue in the Sandtown/Harlem Park/Winchester neighborhoods, where we see the entire house get toned and run out in about 30 seconds flat to a 69E06-DW for a fire in a vacant house at 305 Millington Avenue between Frederick Avenue and Sloatfield Street. Engine 14 and Engine 36 were first and second due engines, whilst Engine 8 was third due. Engine 55, Engine 23, and Engine 20 were all on the Box as well. Truck 10 was first due truck, whilst Truck 16 was second due. Rescue 1, Battalion 3, and Battalion 6 also responded. As it turned out, there was no fire, but just a smell of smoke in the area, and all units returned to quarters. Engine 8 is a 2018 Pierce Enforcer. Truck 10 is a 2020 Pierce Enforcer tractor drawn aerial tiller ladder with a 100 foot mid-mount stick. Battalion 3 is a 2013 Ford F-350 4x4. Enjoy the sounds of the gongs and tones going off, the rapid response from the house, and the view of the rigs as they respond. If you have any questions about the video, feel free to message me. Comments are welcome. The video was taken on December 8th, 2022.

I've watched HUNDREDS of Fire House response vidoes on UA-cam, and this is by far the fastest response with the most hustle I've ever seen. Bravo BFD.
That is the fastest response I have ever seen!! EVER. IT WAS ALMOST LIKE A DRILL
Fastest in the US*.
Yup we are pretty quick in the city.due to all of the abandonment row homes. 24/7 never stops. They always running. Non stop.
That’s cause they didn’t put their turnout gear on like you suppose to before going out the door
When you haven't had a fire for three months and are itching to go on one lol
@@firefightingandwildland5243 too bad they get jobs almost daily. Crazy what happens when you aren’t in bumfuckistan
That's outstanding hustle, not much of that left these days. You guys showed how to do it. Thank You.
Maybe in your department.
@@danielr3933 take a lap and a shower, you will feel better
Best response video on UA-cam. It shows perspective on how it is to get that adrenaline rush when you hear it’s a job! Great work, great group of guys !
Thanks for the kind words! I really appreciate it!

@@emergencyresponsevideosand4423 wassup brother ! how have you been ?
love the hustle from these guys, proper response to a box alarm! hope to see more of these response videos where it’s inside the station, such a cool point of view
Glad you like the video! I agree, the hustle is great! In case you're interested, most of my response videos start in quarters, either as tones are going off, or just after they've gone off. Feel free to check out my channel! Thanks for watching!
They knew they were being vedio
I was an officer at this firehouse before the new alerting system that differentiated between units. You turned out like that every time the bell rang until proven otherwise. The new alerting system made it easier
@@Steve-cu1yei mean i’m sure most FDNY houses know they’re being filmed in some capacity and you don’t see them hustling like this😭
Impressed. We were always out of the door in less than a minute but this is a quick turnout. Nice.
Absolutely amazing! 30 seconds and they’re out the door!
What a very fast response that fire department has a great leader ship and great men and women if they have women on their crew God bless everybody that works for that department and thank you for your service
Do you have a picture of this Leader ship. Is it tied up somewhere in the harbor?
Bruh that damn tiller driver wasn’t playing games. He rolled outta that bay like a fu*King BOSS!!!❤❤ The engine stopped and was like bruh I was supposed to lead on this run 😂😂 But seriously this video was all kinds of bad ass. It got me all hyped up with the intercom alarms and dispatch blaring in the background and everyone running to their rig. Gotta love the Baltimore FD. Hell if I was employed with BFD I would wanna work outta this house. Awesome video folks!!!!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Truck 10 wasn’t playing no games
the Truck was first due the wagon was 3rd due....
@@billyrobertson3958just because the truck was 1st due doesn't mean the engine had to let the truck go first because if they got there the same time T10 still would've been 1st due truck even after arriving after E8,
Thanks for the video. If you can more of the Baltimore city fire department would be appreciated. Baltimore is one of the busiest fire departments in the nation. Great video!
Thanks! Glad you like it! I will certainly try to get some more videos.
These are Baltimore true heroes!! And all the men and women in blue.
They got out fast, as a retired firefighter we always got out quick, sometimes when I see guys go slow I just wonder... I hope the guys in my city are NOT slow if I have to call 'em.
Lot of depts nowadays subscribe to the “fast is too dangerous” way of thinking
6 engines on a full assignment!!! Wow
That's how it is around here
Intense. I hope everyone is safe.
Interesting shots of the display in the cab and in the station.
Love how they're out the door within 30 seconds
29 seconds out the door!!! Wow!! Nice!!
Like them running to the trucks mate!
So do I!
That was fast as hell very nice! I’m a volunteer firefighter so seeing this is wild. We’re pretty quick since we live in the city but wow 👏
Rig doors left open. Nice.
The time from the first bell to the air brakes being released is 21 seconds!
Best response 👌
30 seconds, that has got to be a record. That's why they call em Jobtown.
Looked like a scramble from an Air Defense base. The structure looked like a row of Alert Cells.
BFD always impress me, the fastest turnouts on video! Unlike so many FD's, who walk to the trucks like they are going for a Sunday afternoon drive, the Baltimore crews run, like firefighters all USED to do. A great fire department!
I can’t believe they didn’t have time to put their gear on. They just went out the door so fast!
I think their turnout gear is stored in the fire trucks
@@LegoWormNoah101 oh
Great video, liked and shared 🧑🏻👍🏻🚒
Awesome! Thanks!
@@FL92002 No problem mate 🧑🏻👍🏻
Awesome catch I subscribed
Thanks!
That tiller driver was like “see ya”
Wow that was so cool

Hello to you too!
You got a free entire response vid💯💯💯😎😎😎
Those guys weren't hanging around! Nice video as always.
Thanks! Always a big rush for a Box alarm.
@@FL92002 I just had a look back at the CAD screen in the Engine cab, 6 Engines, 2 Trucks, Rescue and 2 BCs, is that the standard assignment for a Box Alarm in Baltimore City?
From what I am told, yes.
@@FL92002 what is a box alarm? And what was someone saying at 0:03?
@@davidgreenwood6385 Box alarm basically mean a fire and he yelled "Box" to let members know a box alarm was about to get dispatched
Not gonna talk on the engine or truck. But I’ve never seen a BC en route that quick 😂
Was someone still at the station or do they normally leave bay doors open?
And that's why 8x10 is known as #jobtown. They live for fire
Baltimore is my hometown, love the Baltimore fire dept clips. I don't live in baltimore, I notice that there box calls have change from 4 engine an 1 rit to 6 engines. Looking for info on the change .If someone can give info.
The extra engine is the "accountability engine" . It will soon go back to 5 engines due to battalion chiefs now having an aide
This reminds me of ladder 49
Longer Videos go a long way . Let the website know that full details are better than small details
Great video. Must be the camera, but I swear the lights were yellow, not red.
I love it
Engine 30 and Truck 8 must have been on a call because they are right up the street
closer than 14 and way closer than 36 also truck 23 which is stationed with E 55 had to be out to send T 16
I doubt if T 16 even made it too the scene knew a guy named Russell that drove E 8 nice responding video
even before the tone droped they were ready
All the people in the comments giving their opinions on the guys leaving out the house before they put their gear on tells u that they don't understand how firefighting works in Baltimore
did u get a station tour with it or how did u happen to set this up? been dying to buff BCFD!!!!
Knocked on the door to see about taking photos of the rigs. While taking photos and shooting the breeze with the FF's, the Box came in
@FL92002 ah nice!!!! imma have to make my way out there some time soon then. looks like a nice station to catch to!! do you happen to know if there's anyway I can formally set something up with them for?
No idea. You might just want to try knocking on the door if you visit.
@@FL92002 alr thx again man, beautiful catches all over your channel!!
@@FL92002do they gear up in the cab?
I wish Cobb county was this fast
GO GET EM BROTHERS
I like the fast response, but responding to a structure fire....none of them were bunked up so the delay is at the arrival...
Because they quickly gear up enroute and have everything on by the time they arrive
Wow! That was the quickest emergency run ever in BCFD history and one for the ages #ENGINE8ANDTRUCK10BCFDFOREVER.👨🚒👩🚒🚒🔥🔥🔥🌃
No, actually, that was a typical turnout for BCFD - happens every day.
U need more box call Baltimore.....
Busy station? How did you get inside? Where did you park your car? Is the area safe or unsafe? Would you recommend going to this firehouse?
Busy station, knocked on the door, parked at the firehouse, somewhat safe area, check out the firehouse.
Show this time out to Orange County Fire. Would like to hear their reason they show so little hustle hitting the streets
BCFD showing FDNY and others how it is supposed to be done!
I hope my cousin Jeff was there with his co-workers in this call.
Does BCFD run all Box’s without gearing up?
They put on their gear while en-route to the Box, in order to save time.
@@FL92002 2 blocks away and we’re sitting on scene watching the citizens burn alive while we put our left arm in our coat and take our pack out of the seat….. I can understand if it’s a longer response but first due I just can see some issues, but if it works.
I've gotten dressed on the engine when a box was a block away with no problem
Is a box alarm those big building fires?
In Baltimore, yes.
Crazy how you see not one piece of gear get put on in this whole video
They are in the trucks
That looked like a Brooklyn turnout X 3
Negative. In Brooklyn, they actually get their bunker gear on before heading out the door. What are these guys gonna do when they get on scene? Get dressed in the street.
@@jedeckert8912 get dressed enroute
Why didn’t they put on their gear, if it’s a fire?
Pretty sure they had their gear on the rigs, and put it on while en-route.
Go ask them
@@ftlnatp4924 you should be gearing up before you arrive at the fireground that way you are ready to go!!!!! You delay search and rescue as well as extinguishment because now you have to spend time putting gear on which should of be done prior to leaving the station
@@ftlnatp4924 you don’t wear gear on ems runs🙄. It’s unsafe, your unbuckling yourself in a moving vehicle. How is that a good idea. I’ve been putting gear on for many years before I jump into the truck. And that’s the way my department wants it, as well as many other surrounding departments near me.
In our department we did bunkers and jacket before we got in the rig. Always loved looking out on the apparatus floor and seeing all the shoes scattered about. Swear you could tell the level of the call by where the shoes were left and how they were left. Each department is different. But feel we did not delay getting gearing up right before we got on the rig. It took, maybe 10 seconds at most to put bunkers and the jacket on. I have geared up while going light and sirens. Back when we had an open jump seat on the ladder. That, for me, at times, could feel a bit dicey.
BCFD 8X10
JOWB TOWN!!!!!!!!!!!
DAMN!!!! Do they get paid extra if they get out the door in 30 seconds or something, LMAO!!!
Now, why no turnout gear? Most departments get the gear on before they jump on the rig.
BCFD keeps their gear in the rigs
The ladder beat the engine out, hope the building wasn't on fire with no water on that truck.
The truck was the first due truck. The engine was the third due engine. There are two other engine companies that would be getting there first.
Ladder takes the front of the building
Double house truck goes first
With Truck placement in mind, it would be better for the truck to go first in this case as units on scene are supposed to give space for the truck crew to set up since they're able to assist in rescues on higher floors and drowning from above.
Ladder gets the front row center seat. How else you going to utilize that big beautiful tiller to maximum effect?
They were in such a hurry that every one of them forgot to get dressed in bunker gear. Wonderful, they're out of the house in 30 seconds but when they get there and jump out in their work duty pants and job shirt they still have to get dressed. Dumb.
They always arrive dressed and ready to work
@@dblockbmm So no seatbelts then? Sounds safe
@@jedeckert8912 Jump in. Pull up bunker pants. Turnout coats are on the seat open. Slide in ur arms. Takes about 10 seconds
They Was Out That Station Quick Faster Than A Hurry Shot Out To Them Tiller Drivers They Was Rolling 👍👍
stellar turnout....
They didn’t even put there gear on
They put THEIR gear on in the rig while it was responding.
@@FL92002 that’s not effective
@@NguageTrains or safe
@@NguageTrains how is it not effective if they are geared up before arriving on scene? 🤔
@@eriksand9262well unbuckling yourself while driving for 1 two how can you gear up in an officers seat. Those seats are balls tight
