I wonder if they were all waiting for the chief to lead the way because they had no idea where they were going. For those that don't know, the entire Baltimore Fire Department was out of service on Wednesday so all members could attend a joint funeral for 3 firefighters who died in the line of duty last week. Paid and volunteer units from throughout Maryland and Washington DC came to Baltimore to backfill every station while BFD was out of service.
I was proud of how the state of Maryland fire service, Washington DC, and others jumped in to cover the city, so everyone in the BCFD could pay their respects to the fallen heros..
That's cool. Never pictured seeing Squad 2 responding out of Steadman Station. Super different. Explains why Squad 4 was running in it's place a few weeks ago.

A cure for boredom. But fighting fires, etc in rural areas is its own kind of adventure. Like gotta bring your own water. And I can't see a damned thing.
From all accounts, the units that help the BFD, showed a strong effort and good response and can hold their heads high. That station is a busy station, it is right around the block from UMMC, I was a patient there for a week and heard them respond all throughout the day and night...

I am very sad for the loss of Baltimore city firefighters 🚒 all 3 fighters rest in peace may God bless you and your family. Also this was a bad ass video when I say bad ass I mean good. I love how all the other departments help out for their brothers and sisters in need so they can pay their respects. I was specially surprised to see rescue squad two from Washington DC hell yeah brother I love you all

Superb! Sorry for the 3 firefighters. Baltimore City is looking into Roto Ray's on all new units (Found out in a City Board meeting, don't kniw if they'll follow through with it due to budget). (In retrospect, Rescue 1 should have Double Roto Ray's) 413 needs their Roto Ray fixed, probably a torn belt on the drive shaft. Easy fix but the whole Roto Ray needs to be removed for a few days for the repair leaving the mount left which looks silly.

No need to spend money on that. They need to focus their $s on being able to continue to replace aging equipment and for once renovating stations, many of which are a disaster. These trucks have more lights on them than ever. They are essentially big lights on wheels. Another light is not going to make damn difference. But it will be money out the door that could be used for another purpose.
@@timpula9984 Yeah, your'e right, city resources are hanging on by a thread anyway just barely covering truck replacement and maintenance costs. This city needs to get their s**t together.

Every City fire station was backfilled by units from the surrounding counties, Washington DC. Ocean City, MD. Pretty amazing.

It must have been a little bit of a shock for some of the units that came from rural/suburban areas to be in the city.
