All those long distance drives from Sixmilebridge to Antrim, Davy's won the Lottery on mileage and meal expenses. The commute is 410km. Inter county players get €0.70 per mile, so Davy has probably negotiated something close to €1 per mile. Plus meals, that's most likely €1,000 per training session commute for Davy, unless he plans to base himself in Antrim. That incurs its own high costs. I doubt his family would relocate with him for this "temporary" managerial role. Exciting times for Davy Fitz.

When davy left waterford did he not say he needed to take a break from mangement with a young child of 1 yrs of age then he takes antrim job which is the other end of the country .having said that he does make inpact with teams and has won trophys with various counties .he is good for the game for his passion love of hurling and lifting a county and brings the best out in lots of players .some like him some hate him i think he is a great motavitor for any county good luck to him in antrim.😊
