- Recently went on a day trip for a beach staycation in Mahabalipuram with my family and had the most amazing time being reunited with my one true love - the beach! I’ve been to Mahabalipuram so many times before since it’s so close to my home in Vellore, but this was the first time all of us traveled as a group together, and even though we were only there for a day, it was a really nice staycation :) Hope you enjoy this chill vlog!

Mamallapuram, or Mahabalipuram, is a town on a strip of land between the Bay of Bengal and the Great Salt Lake, in the south Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It’s known for its temples and monuments built by the Pallava dynasty in the 7th and 8th centuries. The seafront Shore Temple comprises 3 ornate granite shrines.

Wonderful beach almost along entire ECR . I stayed at Intercontinental very close to this Hotel. And then stayed multiple times on OMR . Fun vlog.motivational to see Nani also got into the water. Seeing ur grand parents feel I should lead a more active life style

Just back from Pondicherry. Went to Mahabalipuram as well. These places, the infrastructure is quite different (better) than what we have in my part of the country. Chennai to Pondy via Chengalpattu or ECR road is just like butter! I knew vellore would be close by..but didn't know it is 3 hrs. I have a new found affection for tamil nadu, chennai and everything tamil. So, how was it growing up in vellore? You guys speak english well. Howz that? I met a few resident jains in Pondicherry. I think Kalki kochelin is also from Tamil Nadu. The temples are so nice over there. The place definitely has a lot of culture.

Having a staycation with family is really the best! How was it? What bag did you use for this travel? Have you tried using a duffle bag for your travel? I recommend using the Bento Bag from Nomad Lane.
I've been using this bag for months now and it is such a hack.
It has a trolley sleeve feature and it fits under the seat too! makes your travel more convenient and effortless and it packs like a suitcase too!
