While living in a high rise has its benefits, aren't you at the mercy of your neighbors in terms of noise? Even the best built high rise can't eliminate a loud neighbor. For this reason, I've always lived in single family homes, even though this requires a maintenance team to keep the yard looking perfect. In the Phoenix heat, I seldom really get out into the yard, but it is pretty from the windows.
The rug in the living room is too small but lovely space!
How do I get invited to cocktails? 😄🍸
I am a maximalist as is the host of this video. However, I would be living in such opulence while wearing a tee-shirt and levi shorts. Haven't worn a blazer anywhere in at least 15 years. Of course, in Phoenix this is the normal uniform. I'm not an open floor plan type of guy, so I would have put up some walls to mark the space between the dining room and other areas. Otherwise, there is the danger that it will just look like an antique big box store. Also, the more walls, the more space for art. With due respect, I really don't like his huge open space. I like my space to have more complexity and mystery, with smaller rooms, each with its own character. But then, I do not have large parties, but more intimate dinner parties with perhaps 2 or 3 couples before we retire to the Orgy Room (just kidding).
