  • In this video, I share footage of my October return trip to Isla Guadalupe. October is all about large female white sharks. I came face to face with the largest shark I've ever seen. I also explain how different it is here in August compared to late October. I filmed shark jumping straight out of the water, and the seals along the rugged coast with large sharks nearby. Additionally, this video discusses the importance of shark tourism and its value to the continued protection of Guadalupe Island. Ohh and did I say I filmed many

I met a Great White while Abalone hunting near Catalina Island and it was the scariest experience I can recall, bar none. I only had a mask, fins and snorkel and had to hold my breath longer than I've ever held it before, as it passed overhead. I had just pulled an Abalone and was about to push off the bottom to the surface when I saw it coming straight at me from maybe 50 ft away. I just kind of hunkered down in a crevice of rock while it passe by. Being less than ten feet from something so large and powerful was both horrifying and exhilarating at the same time.

We all owe this guy a beer. The professionalism, knowledge and respect for the environment is just superb, without a doubt one of the best channels on UA-cam. Period. 👍👍

I have been fascinated with great white sharks my entire life. Read countless books, watched countless documentary films on them. This is the first time someone has explained so clearly the difference between males and females.

Awesome. I'm a big believer in live and let live. I've got a fee gardener(?) snakes that sunbathe in my front and back yard depending on the time of year. I warn my lawn guys to NOT hurt them. They kill rats! I can walk by them as long as I'm not looking at or talking to them. It works with most wildlife. That way, I can enjoy them better and they live in peace on my property.

You mention "each with their own personality". I keep telling people sharks have individual personalities. Especially the hammerheads I've dived with. Some are shy, some are inquisitive. Same goes for mantas (some LOVE diver bubbles)...but none more so than tigersharks off the Aliwal Shoal in South Africa who react differently to divers they recognize. Gentle giants indeed.

I think a lot of people, myself included always look forward to anything you do here. Your content from the superb photography, the well thought out commentary, and your passion for all of the sea's creatures and commitment to be a positive influence are just outstanding! And when it comes to great whites you are the white shark warrior. Everything you've done has been outstanding and I appreciate it very much! Thank you!

The superb quality of the footages along with the gentle commentary and soft background music make this short documentary one of the best I've ever watched and, as a life-long shark enthusiast, I've been watching tons of them for about 5 decades. My sincere compliments. Thanks for posting.
