For anybody looking into buying this guitar I will say...do not hesitate and just buy it! I have owned mine for 2 months now and I took a gamble with it and I am so glad I did. Beautiful guitar for the price and plays wonderfully. It didn’t need a set up at all the action is very low across the entire fretboard. Out of personal preference I did change the strings to Eddie ball bronze phosphor Coated earthwoods (light) as I prefer a warmer tone on the low end but the strings it came with are actually fantastic and sound very balanced.

Did you get it for $235? I’ve seen one online and it’s $235 but it seems sketchy for how good it sounds/looks. Thanks!

I'm looking for an electro acoustic to replace my broken Takamine (kids dropped it accidentally from the wall hanger).. so i was trying to find a less expensive instrument that would still offer me a decent sound, would you recommend this? Thanks in advance!

Hi, first of all I´m very sorry for your broken guitar. On the other hand it is a good excuse to buy a new one :D
I can recommend you this guitar, it is a very nice piece of instrument. Sound is decent, playability is good. It is a very nice guitar for that price. Although you need to find somebody to setup the string action, it is normal at these guitars that the string are little bit higher than they should be. An easy set up of this guitar can turn it into a nice piece of instrument.
Let me know how you decided.

@@andrasthebutcher thanks for your reply, to be honest I'm between your guitar and this other model from HBenton.. m.thomann.de/gr/harley_benton_custom_line_cld_15mce.htm?o=105&search=1572854783
      Any suggestions? Thanks again!

Nice guitar for the money. It has plywood back and sides but most guitars under $500 do. It sounds good and looks even better. I like the fretboard and the inlays. They are well done. Harley Benton also has a solid wood guitar in a similar model, but it's almost twice as much money and, in my opinion, doesn't look as good.

I see that the neck is glossy, how do you find it?

Hi, the neck is OK for me. I don´t have problem with glossy type of necks.

Hi, great video and thanks for the review! I'm in the exact same position. Do not want to spend more than 250€ but want a nice guitar. Thought I would buy a used instead, but nothing really nice was up in my region. So I thought I would check Thomann for a new, having Bentons in mind. This one caught my eye and had nice reviews.
I play bass in the band, but because I sing and musicwrite too, I do play a lot of acoustic guitar at home. I have a pretty crappy Squier now that I want to replace with something obviously better everywhere. She'll do some acoustic gigs and maybe recordings (apart from home) too. I wouldn't consider myself a guitarist, but I play a lot and my experience as a musician is pretty big. Would you recommend?
(my other options is a 90's Yamaha FG410EA at the same money used and an Epiphone Hummingbird Pro if that helps)

Hi, thanks for your comment. First of all, I don´t think that this guitar is better or worse then the Yamaha you mention. It is definitely a good guitar for that price. It really on you which design you like better.

To someone just starting out, would you recommend this guitar or a more classic design like a dreadnought HB CLD-41? Thanks!

Hi, sorry for my late answer. I think it really doesn´t matter. There is not that much size difference between the two guitars you mentioned. Juts buy the one you like the most :)

Hi, for me this guitar is very comfortable.

One more thing, this guitar is little bit smaller than a typical jumbo size guitar. I think it will be good for you.

Hi, I wanted to mention this guitar is not big like a jumbo. If you want to find out if it is the right size go to a local music store and play a Taylor 114 or 214 it’s the same size maybe even thinner. I was also concerned because My Dreadnaught was just to big and bulky for my liking. This is shaped different more like the size of a concert acoustic and feels very comfortable to play on the couch. Good luck!
