I hope you remembered to engage your safety squint while doing that grinding chops?😅
Proper ball ache of a job nicely executed 👌
Haha thanks Mike, oh yes all safety precautions followed 100%.... 😄
Bike looks amazing love the changes you’ve done especially the exhaust 👍
Great job hope it adds to the ride quality. That bike is like a piece of art unreal looking.
Brilliant! Be good to see how much of a difference they make when you get out on it! 👍
Top job Chops! A bit of care taken there and you've transformed a great bike without altering it drastically. Nice, subtle mods.
Completely agree with keeping the H2 locked up until Spring. Looking forward to that first video since this work 😎
Nice bit of work there Chopsy. I had no appreciation for the H2 but after watching this I'm gonna have to consider one for my collection.
great job, i think its very important to be comfortable enough to enjoy your ride.
There's nothing better than risers on a sport bike! Ur on the right track Chopsie!
Great video. bar replacement is a job I would have to think long and hard about doing again. such a lot of faffing about, I fitted Lowbrow Customs GT thick grips when I fitted lower bars for my xsr 700. so much more comfortable to ride now.
You're a brave man Chopsy. I serviced my old 765rs, it took me 3 days and 10 trips to screw fix for sockets and extenders lol
Good job. I’ll bet it will make a huge improvement, a little change makes a big difference. I did something very similar to my Gen 1 Hayabusa.
The H2 is an engineering master piece, great video chops.
Welds are sweet and the frame color is lovely.
Needed this video chopsy thanks mate. I'm getting them rizoma indicators.
I just learnt to get a more suitable bike to start with, you'll be more happy with your riding, and be able to ride longer when you're not uncomfortable and crippled when you get off. I fitted risers to my BMW, took ages to fit and were not cheap, and you know what, it made no difference, so it had to go
Ohhh! Very good! Top work LCR! Have a fantastic Christmas! 😀
Merry Christmas buddy 👍
Great job chopsey and no scratches well done I reckon she will be an all day rider now let’s hope so hey 🏍🏍🎉🎉👍👍
same issue on a zzr1400, I put bar risers and then a tope yoke conversion with risers and bars, works a treat, then it took 2 screen changes to keep my head on my shoulders, zero gravity did one with enough of a kick up.
Good top tip regarding the hairspray however, like you I would have to "borrow" it!!
Enjoying the garage to do's with you & Mavis.👍
Thanks Iain 👍
Looking good Chops. I put adjustable bars on my old Ducati SS, same height just a flatter angle. Huge difference.
Top Tip for threading wiring through bars, I've done 2 Harleys now. String or better still ask TMF for a guitar sting, tie a fishing weight or a wee nut on the end. Once it's through tape the wires to the string and pull it all back through the hole.
The spectrum of your faffometer is greater than mine…..well done for showing the minor errors. Roll on Spring 👍
Don't blame you for not wanting to go out on that. A quick ride today the VTR stepped out a few times
Hold those calipers straight my brother..Measure off the face of the jaw! Much love from the states.
Your H2 faffing vids are really enjoyable Chops! Such a unique bike.
Thanks 😁👍
Cuppa in first gear, time to press play. Always great videos Chops!
Fair play mate, you’ve done a good job there… I would probably take it to a bike shop to get that job done as I’m useless at stuff like that 😂
That is a lovely, lovely bike, Chopsie. I can see why you don’t want to take it out in the slush. Thanks for the videos. I have really enjoyed them Merry Xmas.
Thanks Troppo 👍
Hey Mate ya buddy across the pond. Just wanna say happy Holidays and you're a leader. Loving this content. And thanks for your support 🙏
Thanks buddy and merry Christmas 👍
Happy new year keep up the fast content 😜👍💪
Creature comfort is a must merry Christmas chops and to Mavis as well
Same to you buddy 👍
I love those bar end indicators. Wish all Kawasaki bikes came with those.
Good work chops! That looked like a proper pain of a job. Especially with the constant squeaky bum ness of working so close to those expensive finishes!
I think I'll try some risers...been huming and hawing over spending money on a set but my wrists and back take a hammering on long rides. Just subbed great channel 👍
Thanks Kev 👍
Nice job Chops!
Nice job Chopsie 👏
The good old hairspray trick for the grips is what we use to do when I was schoolboy scrambling back in the day. My mum was never to pleased everytime i had a new pair of handlebars....her silvikrin use to disappear out of the cupboard. Lol 😄
Great video as always Chops 👍
Wishing you a very happy Christmas mate....have a good one 🎄
Thanks Dean and merry Christmas matey 👍
Excellent stuff Mr. Chops! Merry Christmas and thanks for a year of great vlogs👍
Merry Christmas buddy 👍👍
Man that bike is a beautiful piece of machinery
Nice job. Sooo much better than my blow torch and scaffold pole idea but not as fast.
Haha 😁👍
Love your garage videos Chopsie. Nice job. Merry Christmas from Melbourne 👍
Merry Christmas Craig 👍
Well done Butty 👏,
You've saved some money,
If it was me I would of looked at what was involved an talked my self out of it very quickly 🙃 😐 an booked it in ASAP,
Very impressed mate ,
In my honest opinion, you should have gone for apehangers, or a raised T-bar. You are welcome for the idea.
Oh to have just a cupboard of doom. I've now got a soddin' 𝘨𝘢𝘳𝘢𝘨𝘦 of doom! Happy Crimbo to you & yours, Chopsie 👍
Thanks Missy! Merry Christmas to you 👍
Great video... Mavis needs whipping into line!
Good stuff again. Like part one alot of effort for a small reward.rather you than me. Happy xmas, looking forward to next viewing👍
Merry Christmas Dad 👍👍
love this kind of video, keep 'em coming :)
Great job Chops 👍
Nice chops. I really like you’re h2.
Awesome to get it sorted to suit you better, and they look great being official parts too!
Yes spot on Pete actually very happy with how it feels. Popped around the block for a full tank of fuel and seemed much better. Merry Christmas buddy 👍
@@LambChopRides same to you and yours mate
It looks great, and know it will feel better as it should feel quite similar to my old ZX9r as they have relatively high bars for a sport bike, I can sit up straight on mine and just hold the throttle with my fingers lol. I am surprised they have not designed them to be able to be removed without removing the top yoke yet though, mine are fitted in the exact same way but the bolt to the top yoke is annoyingly at the front.
👍👍👌👌 merry Christmas and a happy new year chops
Merry Christmas Mark 🎅 👍
Such a great Bike! I’d have to painters tape the thing blue just to get the tools out. Hope the upgrades work out for you, I 58 and know your pain.
Thanks Chopsy, Happy Holidays to you Mavis and the family!🍻🎄
Same to you Andrew and have a good one 👍
Enjoy all your videos. Really enjoying your builds though. That said, your bike reviews are pretty good too. Damn it you’re quite entertaining at about everything you do!.. Okay I did my part, so where’s my free stuff.. just playing😂 Keep up the good work!
Haha making my head swell... oh that sounded wrong! 😆👍
Great job mate. Did mine on my r1. It took me ages to do mine. Then trying to put them in the right position.👍🏼
Quite lucky on the H2 as with the locking bolts on the top yoke you have no choice on the position. So saved lots of, here or is this better...
@@LambChopRides omg yes that would of. Getting tape measure out and trying to find a fixed piont on both sides. Brain over load lol. Have a great Xmas and New year 👍🏼
That bike is so awesome ,great video
Thanks Jay 👍
I would've thought you'd have a shelf full of hair spray with the long flowing locks you keep under your cap 😂🤣😂
Fantastic entertainment Mr chops merry Christmas sending you all the best for the new year 👍
Happy Christmas Michael 🎄 👍👍
great video, mate!!
Thumbs up and keep it up👍
KUKI
Great job Chopsy.
The risers seem to change the angle of the bars more than a height adjustment as the point where they join the forks seems the same? Maybe I’m completely wrong but be interesting to see how different it feels.
Thanks for all the great content throughout the year. Kept us all going
Cheers
Thanks Ben 👍
Great job. 👍
Good job well done Chopsy 👌👌🎄🎄
Not my kind of bike in a lot of ways, but I’m glad such a bike exists, it is undoubtedly special, nice job, hope it is better at cosseting the Chops frame. I’m 57 now and commute 50 - 90 miles a day all year round, I have had dozens of bikes but am finding my Street Triple RS and Ducati Supersport S are currently ticking all the boxes. Of course we should probably trot off to Gods biker waiting room an get a GS, it would be excellent all round but for some weird biker reason i can’t bring myself to do it, it’s like admitting defeat, stupid and irrational i know but there it is. Merry Christmas
Haha Matt I know exactly what you mean regarding the GS! Also lovely couple of bikes you have there 👍😎
“ Cupboard of doom.” That would pretty much describe my entire work bench ! 😆👍
Great bit of garage time! Got to be half the fun of ownership. Cheers
Yes completely agree love tinkering in the garage 👍
Thanks for all the content over the years. Merry Christmas to you and yours! Best gifts ever, cheers.
You’ve got a shitload of patience!
when I had a VFR1200 I fitted HeliBars risers on it, made a big difference , Then I had an accident on my GSXS1000 where I flew over a car and landed face down so sore neck and wrists, My next bike a GSXR1000 was to painful too ride so I knew I needed flat bars on it, with them fitted it was almost the exact riding position as the GSXS1000, so comfy lol
Beautiful job Sean Chops , i think i will be ordering these bars for my H2 , would u like attend a H2 meet next season bud? Let me know if youre interested there will be loads of us with our H2’s would be great to see you there 💚
Yes I would be up for a meetup sounds great 👍
It is a lovely looking bike
I’m 10 years further on than you Chops, bar risers, comfort seats, heated clothing it all helps, don’t forget the other vital component…………….you (staying bike fit). Happy Xmas Chops, here’s to a successful 2022 and a better summer ☀☀☀☀👍🍺
Thanks Andrew! 👍same to you buddy
That looked a real nightmare but also looked a happy Chops at the end of it 👍
Good work chopsy. I would like to have a ride on one of these.
Certainly an experience Laurie 👍
Buddy, you’re the master of creativity ingenuity! Kawai doesn’t make it easy, so well done! And Merry Christmas to you, Mrs. Chops and Chops Jr. have a great holiday🎄oh, and if you see them, give a merry Christmas to Greg and Womble, and even Mavis! And the rest of #TeamLCR #BestUA-camr
Thanks Mike appreciated buddy, have a merry Christmas buddy you and the family 👍👍
Nice bike 👍
Well done Chopsy. That looked like a pain in the ass so good job getting it all done. It looks better and I think you will be more comfortable now. Just need to go out n give it a thrash ha ha hope you have a good Christmas sir 👍🏻
Thanks Dan 👍
Alexa bustin your chops, Chopsy! 🤣
Looks beautiful motorcycle lots better with bar I have bad back so this would be cool just could not afford H2 r lol enjoy
That’ll do pig, that’ll do. Where was that saying from Chops 🤔 great video as usual 👍 That Mavis is getting very cheeky lately 😳
It was from the movie Babe with the pig 🐖 👍👍
Not everyone is old 😂😂😂 that was brilliant
This bike is kind of impossible to insure in Sweden and these bikes have gotten so expensive to buy used, so I am going to other way around and buy an H2 SX and make it more like an H2 instead. Putting lighter parts on it, flashing the bike to make above 230 ponies on the dyno. And the H2 SX is already perfectly comfy as it is =)
Really makes you remember just how straightforward the SuperMotos are to work on and upgrade😆
Yes absolutely Will! Bloody much more involved 👍
I’m never sure whether to ride mine or just lick it. Looking well chops. Merry Christmas 🎅🏻
Merry Christmas buddy 👍
I lick mine more than i ride it lol, are you based in the uk mate
@@MotoQuickShifter yeah I live in Northern Ireland mate. Cool to hear you have one too. They are as rare as hens teeth over here.
Looks real good Chops, But I would have thought the welds would have been done with a TIG, not MIG for a top range bike. ( us welders do like to complain about the simple things) you ought to see me looking at the handrail on a stair.
Haha thanks Rupe! When compared to other bikes or other kawasaki models the frame is amazing! 😆
If you don't have hair pray, I use rubbing alcohol, slides on and when it dries you're left with clean grippy rubber that doesn't move.
I hate those sorts of jobs, indicators made it exponentially more difficult. I want to go and ride my bike now or just mess about with it in the garage. Roll on spring. As usual great video John, thank
Thanks Brian, have a good Christmas buddy 👍
@@LambChopRides And you John 🍻
Excellent outcome Chops. Should transform the bike over distance. As you said, somewhat of a mystery Kawasaki didn't have the bar risers as standard but academic now. You should definitely vlog some sort of lengthy adventure on it next year.
There is no mystery...Because they made the sx....
@@moorepower13 Yes true enough but it's not a true track sports bike, more road focused pose machine (fine by me incidentally) so it would've made sense to still have the higher bars despite the sportier performance & styling over the more touring focused SX.
@@ragerider6283 at the time Kawasaki had a plethora of sport touring bikes. Remember the matured zx14 was for sale right next to the then new supercharged monster.
@@moorepower13 Indeed. It's a fair point.
Will be interesting to see how effective these mods have been in relation to rider comfort. FastyRides
Let me know how it all goes! I got my H2SXSE on the road now and I did notice the seat once u put a spread load on it goes very hard xD it's ok but I like going to wales and scotland etc so I will also be looking to upgrade in some time. :) awesome seat cover too.
Yeah don't know why Kawasaki can't make a comfortable seat! Will keep you posted on the comfort 👍
Be interested in seeing if the Luimoto he’ll is good I won some from a channel on here not fitted it yet tho
I'm a young guy but I still put apex mfg clipond on my r6. They bring the bars to the middle of the forks instead of out in front.
Very nice
I’m a late viewer of this vid, but really interesting to watch! Anyone know what the digital torque tool is, used on that top bolt?
Good work Chopsy, I know the feeling when you have to assemble a bastard job and you’ve forgotten to do things in sequence😩. Let’s hope that the effort is rewarded with the comfort increase. Ride safe 👍🏻
Thanks Lee 👍 😊
Hi from another older bugger in OZ looking for comfort as well 🤦♂️👴
How have you found it after you did the bar rises can you notice a difference 🤞
talk soon
Marcio
Putting weight on your handlebars in turns also upsets the suspension. Hands should be light as a feather on the bars in a turn to let the suspension do it’s thing. Makes a huge difference, as I’m sure you know.
MY DREAM BIKE.
Have you got a pro to do the suspension on this bike? Makes a world of difference, when it's done right for YOU. Factory setups are usually quite poor, from what I've seen
FYI even the grips are bespoke on an H2.The throttle grip is roughly 12mm shorter than normal oem
Oh really didn't know that 👍
You definitely done the right decision in keeping the H2 chopsy, it’s a keeper, not sure about the bar end indicators though you can’t really see them when you got your mitts on the grips. Merry Christmas chopsy. 🍻
Merry Christmas Tony! Actually they are very good, done some testing with them and can be seen from the front and sides no problem. Should have flicked them on at the end while I was sat on eh... 👍
Chopsy says "it sounds easy to do..." - no Chopsy - it sounds like a fucking nightmare if you're a technical dunderhead like myself. I take my hat off to you - your work looks at least as good as most manufacturer's official centres can do. All the best to you mate, Happy Chrimbo!
Thanks James and Merry Christmas buddy 👍
True test of the new bars is to drive long distance to buy a Pasty. Just saying!
Congrats. Showing us what that job takes will certainly make sane people lower their priority for comfort risers 😁 PS: I do like them indicators, are they an add on?
Haha 😆 👍
