2 yeara ago, when Mark Adams made a recruiting haul with only 6'7" guys, plus Marcus Santos-Silva, Shannon and McCullar, we got Davion Warren, Bryson Williams, K. Obanor and Adonis Arms. NO TRUE POINT GUARD, but, we, through Adams' "No Middle" Defense, beat Utah State and they had a Center everyone was so worried facing, but Tech shut him and Utah State down, and advanced to the Sweet 16 under Adams in his first year. That was when referees called a CHARGE, unlike now, and without a true Point Guard, sometimes Adonis, sometimes McCullar, even Davion Warren played at PG. Key: ALL Tech starters, and those who played the most, were 6'6" to 6'8. That is ideal to stop cross-court passing and fill the passing lanes with LENGTH.....and this was without a dominant, driving point guard. Joe was awesome last year, Da'Vion Harmon was okay, but if we land a Point Guard, one with that many assists, I guess I'm okay with it. Point 2: Just because Pop entered the Portal, does that mean he's gone for good? I've heard he's leaving, but stranger things have happened. I just wondered if anyone who entered the Portal are for sure gone, a la Robert Jennings, etc. Thank you R.C. for stellar coverage. Please don't NOT give this channel good tidbits, because there might be others like me on SS who can't afford any extras right now, with the Austin Massey, Jacob Harris and your, podcast. Coach, because his footwork, to come from the lane out to get right at a guard beyond the arc, was amazing how fast of foot he was, and also, he had the great technique of slapping an offensive board back to our guards.......that is a LOST ART! We need extra bits of info and technique, and Marcus would be great! Thoughts anyone?

Hawkins is very quick and finds ways to create space to score. I really like that assist rate. The only thing I worry about is will he be able to take the beating that is the big 12
Big Ten is a physical league, not as physical as the Big 12, but that’s why add depth too. I personally think he’d be okay on the physicality side of things
