Glad to see I'm not the only one accidently sending arrows out of the stand while letting an arrow down. 😂
haha i did the same when i saw a buck coming in at 40yds. Was in my ground blind, drawing back and accidently hit my thumb button. Arrow straight into the dirt. Luckily the buck didn't notice me...but eventually caught my wind.

I hear a lot of people say they don’t hunt early bow season.
First week of October is my favorite time to hunt. Our season starts October first. The deer haven’t been hunted since January. They are relaxed and bucks are still in bachelor groups. Definitely my favorite time.
I tagged out opening day during 90 degree temps.
Deer are going to be deer regardless. I like the idea of them having no pressure.

In NJ our season starts early September and you can shoot a ton of deer still on summer patterns
@@UA-camr1g we have a season that starts in September. It is an urban deer season. Not sure of all the rules for that season but I think you have to shoot a doe before you can shoot a buck.
Have you ever seen a deer still in velvet while hunting that early?

@@Bob45906 yes I have but same rules here you gotta shoot a doe before a buck and I normally get a doe opening day and am picky with shooting bucks after

Please get some lifelines for your stands. Never know when a strap will break! Mine did in 2015 and a broken back result. Been fighting pain ever since. Good luck and be safe!

Yep. It's only the grace of God that I'm walking today. My ratchet strap snapped and I fell 23 ft with nothing to break my fall. Landed flat on my back 😬
Look closely. He has a harness on and is using a tether rope to connect to.
@collinsiple9755 I know he has a harness on but I'm talking about when he is climbing up the side of the tree to use a lifeline.

That’s so funny, I did the exact same thing in October. Was letting down because a doe wasn’t turning broad side and accidentally shot an arrow at her foot as I was letting down.

😂😂 This has been my week with the dogs. Tuesday night a 110lb + Cane Corso chased everything that moved until I finally just chased it away. Last night I had 2 lap dogs with their little jackets on and everything😂. Same day, 30 min later, for about 45 minutes, 2 hound dogs covered obout 150 of the 450 acres I was on and just my luck chased a decent buck that stopped 3 yards away from me 5 minutes after legal light!!😮
Thanks Chris. I have hunt all my life whit a shotgun, to a small game. After watching lot of your videos i have decided to buy a good compound bow and learn to use it again. I have an old Oneida Strike Eagle 60 bounds compound from something of 90 but i dont like it. I live in Finland and here are not lot of bow hunters that i know. Keep up good work and happy hunting.

Man I feel your pain. My neighbors 1/4 mile away got 3 new dogs this year 🤬right from bow season until the end of gun season I had to put up with them. Where I'm from it's illegal for dogs to chase wild game. And says that you can "dispose" of them. I never did it but boooy did it come close!

I feel your pain dude. I have the same problem where I live. Trying to hunt and everytime I go I atleast see one dog every hunt

Had something very similar happen when I drew back on a doe this year.... had to let down to turn to the other side of my tree and as I did my thumb button brushed my coat and my arrow went flying into a tree 15 feet up. I would pay a lot for a thumb button release with some kind of a safety switch on it. Maybe something for the next Ultraview thumb button???

Hey Chris, I am very new to Audrey and have a question about keeping my eyes open or closing one eye when I have both eyes open, I can’t see through my peep because it’s very blurry. How can I fix that?
Some people are right handed and left eye dominant and vice versa . I don't know if that's your issue but it could be. There's a bunch of videos to find your dominant eye. Hope that helps
