Thank you so much! I'm wearing the Navelli Tee designed by Caitlin Hunter. I made mine in our SweetGeorgia Tough Love Sock and talked about it in a video here: sweetgeorgiayarns.com/machine-knitting-with-hand-dyed-yarns/ ... and I also made a hand-knit version in a different colour here: sweetgeorgiayarns.com/finished-knitting-the-navelli-tee/. It's such a great sweater, I wear them both all the time!
I love this kind of content, Felicia! But couldn't we dye more specifically for this kind of gradient in much longer sections so that we don't have so many multi-color staple lengths? Or do you prefer the effect that creates? I must admit the photo of your dizzed fiber looks pretty amazing--so that creates maybe a more dynamic yarn. I have thought this was a fussy technique--but seeing that photo I may have to rethink that opinion. I think I just answered my own question. :D
@@jenthulhu haha yes indeed… if I had dyed longer sections, then I would probably be able to get a stronger blue section… but part of the fun is figuring out how to do something. It’s like a puzzle trying to work with what I have on hand 🤣🫠
@@tkaefring oh yes my fibre is already blended from BFL and silk. We dye it in the blended top format. If you want, you can also blend together the two fibres using a drum carder, blending board, hand combs, hard cards, or a hackle and then spin from there.
I do hope we get to see this fibre as you spin it and then knit it.
This is so interesting!!!! Please film and teach about the whole process I’d love to see you spinning and knitting this gradient
Great tips and information! I'm a new spinner so I appreciate this episode!
Now i have a sweater in my mind ❤ thank you
Very excited for your sweater spin! What is the name of the pattern you're currently wearing? Is it on your handdyed yarn base? So pretty!

@@sweetgeorgia I completely understand that. Sometimes making things more complicated makes it more of an adventure.
Felicia, how do you make a BFL/ silk blended yarn? Spin them together during the single ply?

@@sweetgeorgia ah! Thank you!
Which type of silk did you blend into this gorgeous braid?
@@eddavanleemputten9232 that is 25% tussah silk and 75% Bluefaced Leicester wool
@@sweetgeorgia - Thank you! It looks so gorgeous! I hope we’re going to be able to see you spin and knit it.
What sweater pattern have you chosen?
@@joanharris3552 oh yes! That’s next Friday’s video 😜
