On a positive note, the new Batman 2.0’s cowl is actually more accurate. It isn’t as tall looking as the 1.0 and it doesn’t curve to much inward at the neck. It should be thicker looking. The cape is better, and you can actually move the body.
I agree, the likeness isn’t as strong in some angles, and the texture is a little much. The face plates are still very accurate, except for the one with teeth, it just looks different in comparison because the shape of the cowl is now different and more accurate.
Keaton 1.0 is looking more like keaton in the cowl imo...and the texture seems a bit much.and you are right about the yellow. Its Kind of crazy that hot toys messed this one up imo

The new Bat symbol on the 2.0 is much much more accurate, from scale/sizing to especially the shiny looking finish.
The scene in the alley where the Joker's goons shoot Batman in the chest whilst lying on the ground proves how much smoother the suit is than this heavy textured 2.0.
The 2.0 Batman, thanks to the advances in paint apps, looks more lifelike, more detailed; the eyes look much better as well. The DX09 looks more like Keaton. Also, elements of the 2.0 cowl look off. The DX09 nailed the angular look of the mask, with the heavier brow which gives the eyes a deepset look. The 2.0 cowl is more curvy, and rather than being an accurate representation of the 1989, it comes off as looking like blend of the 89 and 92 cowls.
The 2.0 is still a great looking figure, and collectors who missed out on its predecessor are mostly going to love it, but for existing DX09 owners, and those seeking a more accurate overall likeness over the DX09 - cowl, face, suit etc, I expect to see some disappointed. It's not the definitive 1/6 89 Batman, and isn't as close as many of the other Hot Toys 2.0's/artisans are to their source.

Batman 89 - The cowl and the bat symbol on 2.0 is more accurate to the film, The belt is a shade too bright though.
JNDs Ron is on point . People have twisted their perception of reality out of the herd mentality to hate on them. The only issue I see is in the sculpted hair that lacks detail .
I'm sorry everybody, but I'm with Joao on this one. Looks nothing like Keaton & they changed the cowl design which makes it look even worse compared to movie accuracy. I'm selling off the figure & keeping the diorama piece. Will buy another DX-09 for my '89 collection. 12 years since the DX-09 was released & all we get is this!!!!
