The day starts with me attending a special Porsche meet hosted by PTSRS and includes a group of rare painted 911s and other Porsche models. I then jump into a Ferrari 348 and go to visit fellow UA-camr Salomondrin to try and understand why he now likes Ferrari.

I loved that guy! I think he was really funny and brought something new to the videos. I followed Salomondrin for a while but I found him to be so obnoxious.
It’s so utterly boring and the video’s are totally pointless and un-entertaining .. kinda wish Farshad and Pedro would return and we could go back to the 2017 Salomondrin, the peak of UA-cam in my opinion. (Just forgetting about Noriyaro for a second cause i’m a sucker for Japanese car culture)

348 i drove had no power steering or abs brakes ... clutch felt like a solid brick, trying to park it or reverse out of a space was like a gym work out ... ball-ache to get moving but driven in anger it was an absolute weapon in its day. never knew it was Enzo's last hand.. beautiful car.
808 33 The 348 does have ABS brakes.
This has actually been my favorite Ferrari for like 25 years... Love it
Easily one of the best .. I always thought it would look small in real life but I finally saw one last year and it looked totally Ferrari; Very wide, very low and an amazing exotic presence.

Regarding the 348, weren't the very last year models actually quite reliable? As with all cars I suspect a lot of issues were solved in the later years making a late model year 348 quite a decent buy, especially since it's depreciated by the reputation of the earlier and shoddier ones. Or to be more precise, try driving a GTB or GTS (coupe and spider respectively) from 1993 onwards, which have a different fuel injection system mounted. If the car in the video was one of those perhaps the rental life has been just too hard for it, and on one of the shots it had steering wheel shake which might have been an alignment issue. I quite like the baby Testarossa style of these and think for the price they seem to be ok. There are, according to wiki, 222 GTB and 218GTS built, which means the time is now before people realize they're rarer than Murcielagos... They'll never be toyotas but I'm sure one of these would be an enjoyable experience. And they sound soooo nice... Remember that after this came the 355, one of the best Ferraris when it's working, and one of the worse to maintain since you need to take the engine out to clean the ashtray...

Sega Outrun. Bliss love the 348 up to the 458 then it should have changed model class and 459 to be the next but still NA. 👍🏼 Definitely do a 348 outlaw build.
Other than the Mondial, the 348 has to be the most unloved Ferrari. Highlight of this for me was that Gulf Blue GT3RS. Damn gorgeous!!! And yes please Sam get your cameras sorted because we need longer videos of your awesome adventures!!!!

Just like the real Dark Ages, the ‘dark age’ you describe for Ferrari isn’t dark at all. The whole concept of the transversely mounted V8 2-seater started with the 348 - your 360 is indebted to it!

Sam never use GoPro audio! Of course you know that now. Better to use a Tascam audio recorder that you can just sit in the car in the centre console. Sync it later in your editing suite automatically.
