I'm from North East England and have lived in Singapore since 2011, my place has a pool and in 10 years I can count the number of times I've used it with my fingers
We love a pool at the place we stay, if not we went to a hotell and payed for using their pool + towel. Work out by swiming everyday🏊♀️🏊 Thank you for adding the map where it is.
You can get a much nicer place in Bangkok for less. This is a rip to be honest. But in the end you rent in a country like Thailand where things change for the worse quickly.
I think it depends on the area, but in a like for like area in Bangkok I think you'd struggle to get something at this price/age/size but yeah it's doable.
Nice unit, however I can see a problem with toilet sounds being detectable in the bedroom (say if guests come over, etc). I'd do something about sound-proofing it. This sounds petty but I know from experience. Tiled floors bounce sound around. Also, a guest would have direct access to the bedroom, where your wife may be sleeping. Thank you.
As an American retired in Thailand for the last three years and currently just bought a condo in Bangsare Thailand just north of Pattaya I can tell you that the price they're asking for this condo is absolutely insane. I bought 55 square meters of condo one block from the ocean that smokes this condo 10 ways of Sunday. So please anyone is interested in Thailand condos do not use this video as a reference. I cannot even believe that he's talking about 4 million Thai bat with a straight face.
Difficult to compare to Chiang Mai, this is in the main area of Chiang Mai walking distance to Nimman and most of the stuff you could want. There are definitely cheaper condos in the area but in older buildings.
One thing to consider is there are not that many condo buildings around this area and it's the main area of Chiang Mai, you can definitely get cheaper condos in older buildings :)
Jon it’s very central my daughters are thinking about buying when there about 21 because they have thai ID 🆔 cards but if they have my last name can they still buy as a thai ? They have British birth certificate and thai ? I
Just rent here, they can kick you out of the country , just rent and invest in the s&p 500 and bitcoin. Condos are bad investments if you live in it it go's up 5% if you rent then you getting 10% you get better return on gold
I always find it strange that everyone loves the idea of a pool and are willing to pay extra for it, but I hardly ever see anyone in them.
Yeah true, hardly ever see people using the pools :)
The gyms as well

Thumbs up 👍 Jon
Nice vids, Jon, though you do seem to be full of location envy😂
I like your videos, Jon! Thanks!
Thanks mate
Thank you for sharing your life
😁
Nice condo. Does the bedroom open up to the balcony? Thanks
Thanks mate :)

Thanks
Wish you would do one on Thai music venues
I'll see if I can find any :)
Can you tell me the name of the famous restaurant you note in the beginning? Or point on a map? Thanks!

My opinion is don't even look at a condo if the price is above 50,000 baht sqm. Prices are increasing so I may change my opinion soon.

Very nice condo
How much would this cost to rent?
How much rent would you get for this jon .
I'm not sure, I've not seen rentals in this building before.
Maybe 20,000 baht. A small unit is $14,000+ depending on the length of the lease.

Isn't there a season that is smoky in Chiang Mai, due agricultural fields nearby being burned???
February to April
Nice condo but too small
4,000,000 for 50 meter sq wow prices moved up since 2020!
no thats scam farang prices,
it real price is probably around 3m @@Makis93_TH
@@Makis93_THyup, those kind of prices is what you almost pay in western cities... i am amazed how how many stupid farangs buy western priced condos.
How much do you think this condo or a condo unit such as this would cost, if a Thai person is dealing and buying it? @@Makis93_TH

Yes they can with no issue 👍
Can you rent this for 800 dollars a month?
I'm not sure what the rent is like in this building
@@jondcantonapartament looks good but I'm inclined to believe 2 of your apartments for 50.000 are bringing more rent in that the 110.000 one
@@georgem5360 yep I think so, I'd want 2 of mine :)

Better value elsewhere this is foreigner price. No Thai going to pay that.
