Pets not allowed in Chiang Mai condos is IMPORTANT information for those who own pets to know. Great job including that! You are really quite good at making this type of video. That is not flattery, either, that's the truth. I watch A LOT...more than 60 hours a week...of these types of videos, and you really excel at showcasing the property, at comparing and contrasting, and even at pointing out some things people might see as negatives they might want to consider. I have no idea if you enjoy this type of video making, and if you don't it's not worth it. I simply wanted to say that you do a really good job at it, and they are helpful and informative.
First one - very nicely done. Good layout, modern, love the separate sitting TV space, good kitchen. Whats not to love about this for the price. Second one - even better. Spacious, comfortable, great storage, good for a couple with more stuff. Location though.... Third one - great location, so quiet and peaceful, beautifully decorated and furnishedm but better for a single because its just a studio. Love to see all these different options, but I have a cat so they don't work for me, but I still like to look.
I like the last condo you showed. New. Pool. Turnkey and ready to move in or rent out (it looks like a vacation rental). Have you considered starting your own real estate agency, where you and your wife could network with landlords (and expats) to funnel customers to them for renting/purchases for a % or flat fee? You would meet so many people, and those people can give word-of-mouth recommendations to others who will go to you. Plus, your wife would also get exposure for her cake (is that right?) business. You could start small with the two of you, then as demand increases, you could grow the business with hiring locals.
Thanks Jon for walk thru of those condos! When you asked where we get our coffee from...One of our favorites is right by the first condo you showed. If you just continue in that road past the Vieng Ping Condominium road will turn right & lead you right into Cotton Tree Coffee Roasters. Give them a try! 😉
Some local places will sell you instant coffee. This coffee is worth maybe 10c while other more "fancy" places (which is a standard in western countries) have a proper espresso machines worth thousands of dollars and and they have a proper grinder where they they grind coffee while you order. Foe me the difference in taste is huge
If you have pets, you should definitely check out land-titled residential homes. Homeowners have more discretion when it comes to allowing pets. Most homes are much larger than any condo, offer more parking, and are walled for security.
Thank you for sharing this informative video. I like the 2 bedroom condo. I was wondering what service charge and utility bills the properties in this video? Thank you.
If you're renting there won't be any service charge as the owners pay this. Utilities will depend on how much you use the AC, if it's on 24/7 and there is only 1 AC unit then you could expect to pay between 2,500 and 3,500 baht a month for electric. Water is negligible.
I think I'd start with the first one, then either of the others work depending on what my life's like. Like you said, location matters, but it's not like one is really better, it's just what works for you. That said, all three had very nice layouts and I wouldn't be unhappy with any of them.
Hi, Thanks for the video. How common is a monthly rent in Chiag Mai? I found it's pretty common in Pattaya, but not so common in Bangkok. I'll be coming to Chiang Mai for one month or so in late September. I'd like to see what would be my best option. Thanks!
would anyone advise against buying a house in Thailand in a gated community with an HOA, I am looking for any information whether to buy a house in Thailand in HOA thank you all
THANKS FOR THE LAUGHS !! Absurdly overpriced .... 515 USD for that shoebox, on a full year K ??... In Chiang Mai ?? not Pattaya or BK ?? Hope Jon is getting a 50% cut off of it. Lots of YT expats pushing insanely overpriced Thai RE these days. Jon should be selling timeshares in Vegas.

great video. appreciate that you included the map view of the area and some pics of the neighborhood.
Thanks mate!

Yep would agree on those points!
The third condo is the best. Hope to see you soon by the end of the year God willing 🙏.
Hope you can make it here mate!
Thanks for sharing! The second one was the best bang for the bath by far. I can easily see my self living there if I retire in Chiang Mai.

Wow! I wanted a cosy place in Nimman with a bath, a desk, a desk & a washing machine - you just found it for me Sir! : )
Always good solid content. Luvin it Jon. 🙏
Thanks mate!
I liked the 2nd condo best, but the last one is a contender too.
Yep agree on that!

Good point, I'm just getting into coffee, never used to like it :)
Great Video, very informative the only thing missing was the bars & bargirls
This is a great video. Well done.
Thanks!
There are no swimming pool or gym in the 2 first condos you showed? That’s an important criteria
Yes, good format with the map. Last one for me is best. How much you guess would be a 1 month only rent?
Hmm, if the owner would allow it maybe 25% more I'd guess.
The 3rd condo 🙏

Yep true :)

Yep can’t go wrong for any of these places :)

U may get a pool villa for 20-25k a month in the suburbs, location at end of the day
is it possible to stay there only for a month
Hill Park 2 all day long, winner winner by a mile.
👍
The last condo is my favorite but I have to small puppies
Công nhận anh có bộ phổi quá khỏe, nói liên tục không biết mệt
would anyone advise against buying a house in Thailand in a gated community with an HOA,
I am looking for any information whether to buy a house in Thailand in HOA
thank you all
How did you learn Thai and how long did it take?
My Thai is not great tbh, I've got a lot of work to do :)
The second one was best but the frig was too small and no pool. But the price was worth it.
Hi Jon
You might want to add a Paypal link. I tried the coffee link but it was asking for my business info which was odd.
Thanks James, I'll see if I can add a link :)
Amazon cafe..good coffee
👍
Great job. 3rd one is a way overpriced studio. $400 perhaps, even then.
Thanks! Yeah this one is mainly about the location
It’s so disappointed if all those Building not pet friendly
Not many condos in Chiang Mai are pet friendly unfortunately.
