New Control Arm with Ball Joint from 1AAuto.com 1aau.to/ib/1ASLF00546
This video shows you how to install a new quality TRQ lower control arm with ball joint in your 2005-2010 Chevrolet Cobalt. Control arms are a crucial part of the suspension system of your vehicle. They not only carry the load of the vehicle to the wheel, but they typically also maintain its alignment. Control arms are typically large and strong, so you may be surprised it needs replacing. They contain rubber bushings for smoother rides at the cost of eventual wear, or integrated ball joints that require replacing the entire arm when they wear.
This process should be similar on the following vehicles:
2005 Chevrolet Cobalt
2006 Chevrolet Cobalt
2007 Chevrolet Cobalt
2008 Chevrolet Cobalt
2009 Chevrolet Cobalt
2010 Chevrolet Cobalt

Took my '09 Cobalt to car x for an alignment they wanted to charge me $1,200 to do my control arm bushings only. Which to me made no sense you might as well replace the whole control arm which is faster and it would have been The least expensive way to go.. I was able to do it in two and a half hours by myself and a pair of control arms were $80. Thanks for the awesome videos it is definitely greatly appreciated!!!!!!!
Very concise and extremely helpful.
Why do you have to remove the axle nut for this job?
So helpful thanks for sharing
What is the part called where the rear end of the Lower control arm has to fit into to be bolted up… is there a replacement part for that?
Good job
Is there a specific brand of lubricant you used? Do you keep it in stock? Thank you!

For the large bolt at the back of the control arm, how do you get the nut out ?
Is this part aluminum or steel?
I'm just wondering why you removed the axle nut 😅
