This brilliant movie obviously plays on the fact that Kurt once played as the king in the best Elvis biopic to date. Imagine if real Elvis had lived into old age, he could have been fantastic as santa in this magical movie.
I believe so too. It's got a hardened, modern edge to it without resorting to cynicism while it maintains the ability to laugh at itself. I found it very endearing.
I wasn't a fan of the second one. The first one was more character driven, with the mischievous, dysfunctional kids kicking off the plot. The second one was a bit more generic, with a "Listen to me as I whine about my dark past and how evil I am!" kind of villain. And the plot was kicked off due to what felt like forced family drama. The first one didn't need to have a great evil villain, the antagonist was circumstance and the failures of the characters.

I was half way paying attention to this movie with family all around until this song came on and it just blew me away. I made my niece rewind it and watch it several times
Kurt has an amazing strong chin, but once he started growing his masterpiece of a beard and it merged with his flowing hair . . . I just can't imagine him without it now. He's also a surprisingly good singer.
