That's Robb Alvey. He used to be a hardcore enthusiast as you can see... several years later he burned that shirt, opting to only visit amusement parks for fun. Rightfully so.
What was the deal with this video being only California (and Vegas) coasters? Did California (and Vegas) tourist board pay for this? Or just a production team that didn't want to drive more than 5 hours?
Thats what I've wondered. I mean there are so many other elite coasters in other states. Maybe their production budget wouldn't let them go any further than that.
How in the world do you make a documentary on coasters and not mention Cedar Point. They cover Las Vegas with one of the worst coaster in the US but don't mention Cedar Point. Hummmm.
Funny how this documentary doesn't mention block zones at all
Used to just watch this on repeat over and over as a kid
I remember watching this when these specials still aired on Travel Channel. me and my dad would tape them and watch them a lot.
"Manhattan Express is one of the best coasters in Las Vegas, in fact, probably in the world"
Bigger lies have never been spoken

killwize Exactly!
Kyle R, nice catch. Also, at 1:11:40, that is Robb's wife Elissa Alvey who was Elissa White back then. You can see her on some of his videos.
Maddox021 - Comedy and More It was pretty awesome
Loved it. Thanks for posting this. Imdb has the official title of this documentary to be "Coasters of The West," which seems more fitting.
