I genuinely believe the most important thing the Lions have done in their recent turnaround was to mend the bridges with Calvin and Barry. They gave everything for this team and didn't get enough back and its taken the most recent ownership and front office to really work on healing all those wounds. This really isnt the same old lions anymore. Love both these guys
Agreed. This was sorely needed for the franchise to see their faults and address the problem with humility and respect. Now people want to play for Detroit!!😊
I think they’ve recently realized that being a successful team AND organization requires you to have a full understanding of what your team needs but also what the fans need. Accepting your history while also building for the future is the key to success and I truly believe they’ve finally realized that with the team they have now and the outreach they have now.
There was a recent image taken of Calvin with DK Metcalf after the Lions win against the Seahawks this season. Seeing someone as huge as Metcalf look like an absolute lightweight next to Calvin puts into perspective how there’s levels to this game, and how Megatron was at the absolute top.
It really gives testament in a sense to how good of a player Saint is too. To be 6' (maybe) and just over 200lbs, not being as fast as Calvin, can't jump as high, but to have that grit and grind that allows him to pace Calvin at this point in his career, is really commendable.
People say waste his career all the time and I dont understand it. He had one of if not the best career as a wide receiver. Just because he didnt win it all doesnt mean they wasted his career.
I'd love a regular series with these men breakin down film every week. Thanks NFL. The greatest of his generation + one of the greatest of the current generation. #OnePride
Great video, miss megatron so much he was a big reason I loved the receiver position to begin with. And same with Amon ra easily one of my favorite players to watch every week
My 🐐 OF ALL TIME MEGATRON 💪🏿💯 Much respect for the NFL to get these 2 to basically chop it up about their play as a Lions WR... Megatron and Amon Ra.... Would've been great to have Herman Moore as well along with them,3 of the Greatest WR's in Lions history...Amon Ra is ah student of the game and I know he appreciated this so much to talk football with Megatron...The Lions have a Great WR in Amon Ra for the next 10 seasons I believe,I hope he brings a Superbowl here this season or a Season after
This is so heartwarming to see as a life long lions fan i remember all those games with Megatron and now with st brown still am lost for words where we are at now. Megatron will forever be the greatest WR Of all time no debate. St brown just getting started love to see it. Go lions baby!!!
Growing as a Lions fan, Barry was a superhero to me bc I was so young that seeing pro athletes on tv made them seem almost mythical. As I got a little older, Calvin became my favorite athlete & player ever bc I was old enough understand that he wasn't just an heroic fictional character but an an actual human being just like me, which made what he was doing that much more impressive. Amon-Ra is my current favorite & in my opinion, he might be the most impressive of the 3 bc despite not being born with the physical gifts to give him the headstart advantage like Calvin's size or Barry's speed & elusiveness, it is his mental ability, his preparation, his motivation & his determination that have allowed him to become one of the very best players in the league regardless of position. Not to take anything away from either of my other two favorites ever to do it, but personally, I think that might make what St. Brown is doing the most impressive of all. Not only does he make the Lions better on the field with his performance, but the example he sets as a leader has made our entire team better, the significance of which might not ever get the recognition it truly deserves, as there isn't necessarily a specific award for that sort of thing, as it can't be quantified. The impact he has on the guys around him as a pillar of the franchise is a big part of the reason why I strongly believe the Lions will win a Super Bowl (or maybe a few) during his career, which I suppose is the real award & is fitting since the whole team wins it. I have no doubt in my mind that when all is said & done, he too has an appointment with a tailor to be fitted for a gold jacket in the distant future when all is said & done. I feel fortunate to be a Lions fan all these year bc while their have been some difficult time, I have also been blessed with the opportunity to root for some of the best at their positions to ever play the game on any team & they happened to be wearing Honolulu blue doing it, which at least made some of the difficult times extremely exciting & fun to watch, It's been 35+ seasons of watching nearly every game, but without them, I don't know if I would still watch religiously, especially after the 0-16 season & the decades of watching the Same Old Lions find new ways to lose.
THIS IS LITERALLY ONE OF THEEEE BEST 8 1/2 MINUTE VIDEOS THAT I HAVE EVER SEEN IN MY LIFE!!! ONE OF THE BEST TO EVER DO IT AND THEEE G.O.A.T! TRON MOSSED TWO TO THREE SAFETIES\CORNERBACKS FOR 50+, TWO TO THREE TIMES ALMOST EVERY SINGLE GAME! THAT GAME AGAINST DALLAS WHEN HE HAD 15+ CATCHES FOR 300+ WITH A TUDDY, WAS MY FAVORITE GAME EVER THAT DIDN’T HAVE BARRY IN IT, IN MY LIFETIME! SUN GOD, YOU KNOW YOU ARE EASILY TOP 5 NOW AND HAVE BEEN FOR 3 YEARS! STEVE SMITH 2.0! HEART AND MENTALITY OF A LION! LETS….. GET…..THIS… CHIP!!
Calvin Johnson has some highlight plays. Watching the highlights play against the Panthers and his ability to leap higher than the double team defender. 💪 Megatron gave me my happiest feeling watching him against the Cowboys though. Go Lions ✌️ 313 for life
My first ever Lions game was that Bengals game. I have a sort of pride when that game is mentioned, even more so when Calvin says it’s one of his favorite catches!
Calvin Johnson #81 Megatron Detroit Lions 🦁 is my favorite all-time time wide receiver! Detroit lions 🦁 Armon ra st brown #14 is a playmaking wide receiver!
It's wild that Calvin Johnson is only 39 and he's been out of the league for so long with that talent. I'm glad he could come back around and see his Lions finally turn the corner
The things I would do to see these 2 playing together would be unspeakable. Imagine being a defense and having to plan for Calvin on the outside and Amon Ra in the slot 😭
I remember playing madden with my buddy and he picked the lions and I picked the Vikings. Literally every play we ran went to megatron or ap. He was a cheat code in game and in real life, never seen a better reciever
CALVINS PLAYMAKING ABILITY MAKE GREAT PLAYERS, GREAT PLAYS SEEM MUNDANE OR ORDINARY BY CONTRAST... AMON-RA IS LIKE SUPER HIENZ WARD... CALVIN IS LIKE ULTRA MOSS... ITS LEVELS BUT AMON-RA IS POUND4POUND
Not to be that guy that makes comparisons, but from the very beginning of Amon being a Lion, he always reminded me of Golden Tate. Not a huge guy, but amazing hands and slippery after he makes the catch.
Calvin Johnson is literally the best wr that was unfortunately paired with probably the worst team ever. It’s unfortunate that he got shafted from getting a ring
I genuinely believe the most important thing the Lions have done in their recent turnaround was to mend the bridges with Calvin and Barry. It never stops giving me goosebumps when they come back
Many thanks to Disner for repairing things with Calvin.

Accepting your history while also building for the future is the key to success and I truly believe they’ve finally realized that with the team they have now and the outreach they have now.
that's very sentimental, but factually the most important thing the Lions have done is invest heavily in long term talent.
There was a recent image taken of Calvin with DK Metcalf after the Lions win against the Seahawks this season. Seeing someone as huge as Metcalf look like an absolute lightweight next to Calvin puts into perspective how there’s levels to this game, and how Megatron was at the absolute top.
Megatron could have been 5’11 and he’d still have been better than DK.
It really gives testament in a sense to how good of a player Saint is too. To be 6' (maybe) and just over 200lbs, not being as fast as Calvin, can't jump as high, but to have that grit and grind that allows him to pace Calvin at this point in his career, is really commendable.
Yeah DK is soft for how big he is@zorotarded178

This is an absolute gem of an episode!
St Brown: Do you miss it?
Megatron: No
Lol
His knee hurt just hearing the question 😂
No hesitation🤣🤣
He was apart of the 0-16 team of course he doesn't miss losing
@@austinforgie1069it’s not even about the losing it’s the injuries he had
@@savagebeastjohnson1042 It was mainly a joke I knew about the knee
Calvin is the dude that made me fall in love with this sport and now amon ra is keeping that love burning in me. I love this.
Megatron still looks like he could suit up and play sunday night, its a shame my lions couldnt turn it around in time to not waste his career.
He's in the HOF. They didn't waste his career.
@@nickpatrick7021Exactly 💯 he'll always be mentioned as one of the best the ever did it and he loves Detroit
Megatron on this team would feed families

They arent your lions 😂 dude wants to feel so special.
Fastest click ever
no kidding man
Calvin cemented my love for this sport man. 🐐
Calvin was the absolute goat in terms of raw ability. Freak of nature is an understatement.
I'd love a regular series with these men breakin down film every week. Thanks NFL. The greatest of his generation + one of the greatest of the current generation. #OnePride
I like where you're going with this.

Calvin Johnson mannnn…. My favorite receiver in the history of the NFL. God bless.
St. Brown TD against the Vikings last year was the play that won me $3000 🤘🤘🤘🤘
Won my dad 350 lol

Didn’t know I needed this but I did. Thank you! GO LIONS
Great video idea to get these two to sit down and discuss ball
Love both these dudes
Thanks for the best you have to offer the city of Detroit and the Lions. Two best WR of all time.
It’s a shame the Lions had the Goat receiver and Goat running back, but the organization didn’t build correctly around them.

Bro this should’ve been an hour long. They both got so many more plays that they could’ve broke down

We need to sign him for the rest of the season to get this man his Super Bowl!
I don’t think he can unretire once he’s in the hall
@ I know, he just deserves it!
@@Nobody-knows2 agreed. Hopefully Sheila and Chris have the wherewithal to include him and Barry in celebrations and stuff
the should hire him and sanders as position coaches; even if the don't get the same rings as players, they're still sb rings.
The goat and the kid. Amon-Ra will be a goat one day for future generations.
Megatron x Amon-Ra St. Brown!!! Detroit Lions! Let’s go!!!
ARSB a straight BEAST too, 2 beasts in the room, Megatron too

We need Barry and Gibbs now
They need to get to him a ring
This should’ve been like an hour long video
Makes me sad CJ never got to play on a team like we have now. What a legend
Y’all will respect us 👑🦁💙
If Calvin was on the lions with this offense he would’ve got at least 3 of em 🏆

Herman Moore and Johnnie Morton Honorable Mention :Brett Perriman... Don't know what happened with Roy Williams

might be biased but the sun god and megatron are 2 of the coldest nicknames for NFL players so cool they both happen to be lions
Megatron is the best to ever do it. Man is a freak of nature.
329 in one gam is crazy work i didnt even know he did that
I LOVED Megatron! Imo he's the GOAT! But, I love Sun God and the entire team! Please, get us to the SB this year!
Time to get em on the podcast.
Megatron was a cheatcode. I miss that era
The current Lions roster is more than meets the eye. All they need is Megatron to be the Detroit Decpticons.
So glad Megatron is back in the fold
I wish the Lions could have had Megatron and the Sun God on the same team. That would have been so much fun.
Can’t wait for the C Jahmyr & Barry Sanders one
The constant triple teaming was crazy

Calvin said it’s Jimmy Graham fault lmao when Megatron would dunk I remember there one time the game was delayed because he made the post crooked
Yo, I need like 4 more hours of these dudes talking ball.
man Amon-Ra got a bog ole head but its ok he a big dawg
6:15 Megatron went with the Juvenile line instead of the original saying 😂
if we win the super bowl they need to make 2 extra rings for megatron & barry

Imagine if Calvin played on a Patriots or something. He'd simply be Jerry +randy. But kuz he retired sadly mmoss is the goat WR
I always felt like megatron could go for 300 yards every game
Calvin had a stoner moment with the “something into nothing” comment 😂
I want KJ to be the lions assistant coach
Megatron look slim n trim.
Soon to be Jahmyr Gibbs and Barry Sanders
Calvin look faded😂
He tronned people
Now do Barry and jahmyr 🤣
Reminds me of Golden Tate
Calvin Johnson is the guy you create on madden because there isn’t anyone like him
Fix your refs!!!
I very much enjoyed this entire video! 😍💯🙌🔥🦁💙🤍🖤 #DetroitVsEverybody #OnePride
why do Calvin kinda sound like Kobewhen the camera aint on his face

Calvin Johnson can come out of retirement
