I'm wondering if you've noticed if the unplated finish changes the fit of the spoke wrench on the nipple? I'm guessing that the nickel plating is so thin that it doesn't make any real difference, but I was wondering what you think?
@@RyanBuildsWheels True, it will be different with different brands. I am planning to get a couple of the Monolith spoke wrenches so I'm particularly interested in how these unplated jobbies fit on the appropriate Monolith key.
@@RyanBuildsWheels Thank you for the reply, a local builder didn't want to use them for a build I am piecing together, as he claimed they are made by Pillar, and are trash :/
Hmmm. I have a wheel build in the planning and they would look great.
Have a Simworks Lettuce stem. Really nice stuff.
They are lush! Got an @VelocityUSA build finished today with these...very nice and will post in insta soon!

It'll be different between manufacturers so hard to say for sure BUT let me get the micrometer on a few options at some point and I'll let you know!

Do they tend to oxidize towards a brown color, or more greenish?
Brown
@@RyanBuildsWheels thanks! I ordered 150 from you just the other day
What do you think of the sim works peregrine spokes?
I've not used them yet but the finish is extra nice and Hoshi (the manufacturer) is known to produce very fine kit.
