I swear, Matt Murphy was up there with Paul Rudd in terms of being a dude who aged gracefully. He was 51 years old in this movie, 13 years older than Aretha Franklin, 12 years older than Steve Cropper and Donald Dunn. In fact, he was almost a full year older than Ray Charles.
Yeah, weird omission, especially since it's the musical number that arguably most drives the story forward. Maybe they left it out because so much of it ends up being less diagetic within the story. After all, we still hear it playing as they're driving back to Chicago, so it becomes score at that point.
One of my favorite movies of all time!!! All star lineup of musicians & actors. Jake & Elwood were dancing their asses off !!! 😁😉👍
I remember going to the movies to see it. Love ❤️. I’ve been a fan of SNL since day one. Jake and Elwood
Timeless Cool--John Belushi, Blues music and The Blues Brothers.😎😎🎤🎷🎸🎹🎺🎹🥁🎥🎬🙌🙌

You seriously need to do some research. Sweet home chicago, heard it through the grapevine, boom boom, she caught the Katy, soul man, etc. missing.
