Hi Lisa, this is the best video on UA-cam on this topic. I have tried many other videos, but none can hold a handle to yours. Because I didn't understand how to use 'Protect Form' before watching your video, I was fumbling with it but never knew how to use it. Very grateful for your knowledge and for the heart you put into this. I have one question: Other videos show you can change the checkmark (X) into a tick ✔ in the checkbox in Windows. Can we do the same in mac? Look forward to your help on this. Thanks.
So helpful! Thank you! You mention that there is a link in the commentary below the video that would show how to save the document as a template.... there are three links listed, however, which one contains the instructions for saving the document as a template? Thank you!
I'm using MS Office Professional 2019 and I don't have those options when I double click the text box. How did you get those options? All I get is some font types, color, alignment, etc...
Lisa, I need help, I’ve created a fillable form and protected it, great tutorials! But now I need to send out the forms to people, I did a test run and the form was only working on a desktop not a laptop or iPad !! Is there a way to sort this out😩
Great video tutorials, so clear and well explained. I have a question: If I want to end up with a fillable PDF, is there a way to create this entirely from a Word template that does not require the use of Adobe Acrobat or other PDF editor to create the fillable PDF?
Brilliant tutorial! Thank you, it's helped me so much. I have a perfect form. Are you able to show me how I can allow the person completing my form to insert their signature/or have a signature field for them to insert an electronic signature? Is this possible?
Hi Vicki, really glad the tutorial helped. their electronic signature should be a JPEG or PNG file (image file) so you can lock the dimensions of a table cell and this will allow them to insert their signature without spoiling the form. These videos should help. Digital Signature - ua-cam.com/video/u9ma5emXKK4/v-deo.html Images into a table - ua-cam.com/video/zh6y3sGwImU/v-deo.html
Hi Lisa, trying to create a form following your instructions but with the drop-down options box, why does the title still appear in the box on the main document? There is also a message 'bookmark title not correct' when clicking OK - so confusing! Thank you.
Delete the contents of the Bookmark. In the 'drop down item' menu you will need to give your list a title/name. then use the up and down arrows to place it at the top of the menu in the 'items in the drop-down list' section. This will give the menu a title and not one of your drop-down options.
Lisa I am looking for a program that I can use to create designs for business documents that are used as invoices, or quotes. I want the user to be able to fill in areas for their name, as well as customer information. However, I want to lock the design to prevent the user from changing the design What program can you recommend?
This video was a huge help, thanks for posting! I have an issue and hoping you can help me. I'm creating an interview guide, where a manager can select a competency and then select one of the loaded questions specific to that competency (dependent drop-down). Some of my interview questions are long and when selected, they continue on the same line and I cannot see the end of the sentence. How do I force the sentence to go to the next line?
Hi Lisa, great tutorial but what about if the text is more than one line? The 'return' button to add another line doesn't seem to work? Also, can you help with how to make the fillable text space expand with an expandable table cell? i.e. if you create a table cell but the person completing the form needs more space than the size of the table cell. Unprotected the table cell expands.
I'm using Word 365 Enterprise on a PC (not on a Mac) - how do you "restrict" or protect a form? You're using a MS Word for a Mac which is a bit different Windows PC's based machine.
Hi Lisa - I am very impressed with the simplicity of your tutorials. I found your site following a request fro help from my daughter on how to format text within an editable field in a Word document that has some controls that I don't seem to be able to find. (I am using a Mac and I suspect the original document was designed in a PC using Windows.) Any pointers as to where I can find out how to do that please? Thank you - regards
Hi lisa, excellent video, however whenever i create a fillable form and go to restrictions and change from read only to filling forms. whoever i send it to , via email etc they are either unable to fill in the bits ive allowed to be filled, or they can type anywhere!!! its so frustrating . what am i doing wrong???? do i need some other software allowing users to fill in the form ? im sure i am following you word for word and you make it look so simple !!! please help

Hi Lisa, thank you for the great tutorial. Can you tell me if you can add field that will allow a user to add a graph or table in a protected form?
Thanks.. I don't think so as word is not that sophisticated!
Really helpful, thank you. I've not found the developer box and was trying to use the protect document in 'review' - this is so much easier.
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you so much for such detailed and helpful videos. Excellent work!

As far as I'm aware Adobe Acrobat is the only software which can convert word docs into a PDF.
Alongside that Kevin guy from Microsoft I think you’ve got MS office videos perfected. The others might as well give up!
:) : ) Thank you. You're comment made me laugh out loud!!!
