As someone who has been maining Karin since release, I have a few pointers for anyone interesting in learning her: -using normals into Tenko (qcf+kick, punch) will be your main combo starter. However, it is unsafe on block. So, if you notice your opponent blocking before you use Tenko, use Orochi instead (qcf+kick, crouching punch) since this is safe on block. -Mujinkyaku (qcb+kick) is very unsafe on block, so try not to spam it. However, if you do find yourself in a situation where it's the most effective tool, try switching up which version you use. NOTE: once the opponent starts blocking the light or heavy version, the blocking won't stop till the end, so usually opponents try to attack as soon as possible. Try blocking as soon as you can, but if they do not attack as soon as possible, a grab is your safest bet. -when under a lot of pressure, a crouching hp/crouching mp into heavy Ressenha (qcb+punch) is your best bet for putting distance between you and your opponent. It can be punished but only is your opponent is able to read it before you even do it, so try not to over use it. I actually have a few other tips and tricks, but it's either too miniscule to matter or that it's too focused on my play style, so the only other thing I can say is practice. God Speed.
She gotten much more stronger than she was in Street Fighter Alpha 3, she's hand to use back then, but now she is one of my favorite characters of SFV.
I am Absolutely Glad and Happy Karin Kanzuki herself is now Officially Back in Action in Street Fighter V: Champion Edition! I Absolutely missed her SO much from the Alpha games!
+Vincenti dela Fuente Karin is actually a lot like Fei long/Yang. Except they locked her rekkas behind her v-trigger, which explain why her v-trigger is actually not that good, it's not a v-trigger per say, it's just access to tool she always had from Alpha 3 (except with some tweaks, like the mixup ender for example). She's a decent character, does decent damage, has good buttons, good walkspeed. Her only safe especial is her shoulder ender though. She also has difficulties opening people up, as she can't combo from her overhead or does not have a command throw like Fei or Yang. Most of her damage comes from punishing mistakes and forcing people to commit mistakes. As the video said, she's weak defensively, her only escapes are EX DP or V-Reversal. Her anti-airs are also situational or range dependant. She's a really honest character, most of the results with her come from player skill, not the character, it's similar to Ryu for that matter. I still prefer her Alpha version though. She had great normals there, this version i feel she was gimped. They removed her Her Counter, her Command throw. Alpha was a different game, but they preserved most of dudley/makoto/ibuki tools from 3. Can't see why they didn't with her though.
Should've went into more detail about her V-Trigger / Mixups aren't strong as almost all of them can be jabbed out of before they even hit you, and she mostly relies on excellent footsies, but that you mentioned. Great guide as always.
I wonder when Ibuki's being added into the game as DLC even tho until what ever when Ibuki's released as the DLC since when Ibuki is released I'm putting Ibuki in Karins place on my SF main list what's currently this Karin, Mika and Ryu cuz I suck with Ken for some reason
2 comments 1. After seeing this, I definitely want to use Karin, she's awesome! 2. Sheesh, everyone is asking for Alex's trailer, I'll admit I am hyped for it but at least give them a chance guys. Yeah I know they said March but they didn't say exactly when in March.
Hey man great guide! One thing you didn't mention though : Ressenha's distance also scales with the button used,, and the hp-version dodges (most?) projectiles ... not many sims down here in bronze so no idea if his flying-in-an-arc-fire-thingies still hit :D
+The Grammarians Of Last Days I've done it now. It's just her 9th one that i haven't done. When I eventually did it I ended up doing it twice in a row. It was like waiting for a bus.
Karin's V-Trigger is not weak, people don't utilize all of her options, and think she can get jabbed or supered out of every follow up, but that's not true.
Honestly, I am unsure of why you would do these combos. I find every game, it is much easier to just do: MostButtons>236HK+P>236HK+P. Almost anything goes into two tenkos.
Lol at the idea of her mix ups being a pro. All of the mix ups are really negative and most can be reacted to in an offline setting so trust me those mix ups are not a pro to her.

+r0mit Thanks man
Nice tips I'm a Ken player trying to pick up another main besides basic ryu till juri comes out. Karin is interesting
OOHHHH HO HO HO HO
If they can pay for Cody's bail so he can be part of this game, that'll be nice
+DAHLicious Wafflez His V-Trigger would be taking off the Handcuffs.
V-trigger ends: police dude runs by and puts them back on.
+Madd Capp this guy gets it!
Guess who just got announced
he's in!!!
I'm having a lot of fun playing her.
She gotten much more stronger than she was in Street Fighter Alpha 3, she's hand to use back then, but now she is one of my favorite characters of SFV.
theyve changed karin's v reversal since this video btw
Wow I just remembered how many buttons Karin has in her moveset
Karin is back excellent job classic OHHHOHOHOHO!!
*OHOHOHOHOHOHOHOHO!*

alpha game. just one. 😭😭😭
@@jirachistar5373 Right. Still, I miss Karin Kanzuki SO much!
Resenha's middle frames can pass through projectiles, use her HP version when an opponent throws a fireball and you'll connect.
FINALLY!
Yes thanks god!
Yes. The character almost everyone online uses.
She seems fun to use
this theme music is God Tier
Karin reminds me of Dudley. Her dash move is like Dudley's duck and her Critical art is like Dudley's corkscrew cross

I love karin but I'm too shitty to play her.
Karin's theme sounds like the opening of a really cool funky 90's anime
GIVE US THE FUCKING ALEX TRAILER
When's Alex!
yeah give us the alex revealed trailer
+Madd Capp You have it now
Where's guile.
Brianna Sanchez There's no Guile. I don't know if Capcom is planning to put Guile in SFV or not, but he isn't in SFV yet.
Karin's got 'footsy' down to an art!
I wish they updated this to season 4/5
OMG YES finally karin well im waiting for Laura really but karin still is cool
YES! My BAE guide is here!!!!
Should've went into more detail about her V-Trigger / Mixups aren't strong as almost all of them can be jabbed out of before they even hit you, and she mostly relies on excellent footsies, but that you mentioned.
Great guide as always.
I'm a Rashid main who knows a decent chunk about Karin and Kolin so I'm trying to learn more about the two of them.
Very helpful thanks so much

+Ninetales Commander Don't use this guide though if you want to main Karin, this guide(s) is utter poop.
Check out Floe instead.
I wish light normals could be linked to mediums.
+Sina Madani you can link LP into st. MP as long as its a counter hit
Karin is yun

+Salih Özdemir It does.
+Salih Özdemir She flies right into it.
V-Trigger is not strong? Please~ She should have her rekkas the entire match like in SFA3.
Somone pls help how do yall do this at 8:14 i dont get it(i play on ps4)
You have to be fast quarter circle forward twice than any punch button
when the hell is the march update?
Can we get a remix of karin alpha 3 theme or the original in the shop? That beat was lit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I can't do her 6th trial. It's so hard 😢
+XgamerdaveX SERIOUSLY LIKE WTF
+The Grammarians Of Last Days I've done it now. It's just her 9th one that i haven't done. When I eventually did it I ended up doing it twice in a row. It was like waiting for a bus.
What? You won't go into her official backstory?
Alex?
Her moveset makes her trials confusing.
SFV: Rashid Official Character Guide?
still waiting the server trailer :v

+keyo61491 I think they meant to say v-skill
There's nothing weak about her v-skill, it's her longest poke and one of only safe special moves
I wouldn't call it a special attack, since it doesn't do chip :/
It gives you a good chunk of v-gauge, whether they block it or not
wow her fingers are massive
+xvuaai All girls have them since SFIV, I guess.
Jin Jusuke if i weren't classy id make a joke about her fingers being enough to satisfy her carnal instincts
DO RASHID NEXT
Honestly, I am unsure of why you would do these combos. I find every game, it is much easier to just do:
MostButtons>236HK+P>236HK+P. Almost anything goes into two tenkos.
+EloquentandRarity two tenkos is fine, but i prefer one tenko into scissor kicks (light version)...easier to cross up afterwards
I like the 100% damage guarantee.
If you wanted better oki, you can do one tenko and then V-Skill.
yeah it depends i guess
WAOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!111111111111111111111111111111111
Dan hasn't been confirmed yet.
JURII
OOOHH HOHOHAHA
YYYAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYYYY
I hate that they've made her rekkas so shitty in this game.
There's a lot of incorrect things with this guide...
Lol at the idea of her mix ups being a pro. All of the mix ups are really negative and most can be reacted to in an offline setting so trust me those mix ups are not a pro to her.
"Decent on antiair", yeah, like u even know what is a.... decent... antiair :v
Over 10 minutes to teach people how to press MK, MP, and jump? This character doesnt even need a guide.
the most useless chatacter after Chun-Li
Game for little girls 3 years old :D
