I used to have one of these systems for years before finally getting my hands on an Elitedesk 800 G2, even though the performance was night and day, I still used it for emulation, so this brings back memories. Hi. I have same dell Vostro 230 .I was about to throw it .but now I am thinking to add a gpu in it. But inside is 200 or 250watt psu. So did you upgraded the psu or just added this gpu.and which ram you were using. Please help. My system have only 2 gb ddr3 ram
Great video. I got a q9500 12gb ram and a r5 340x. Currently using it to test PS2 discs as not got a PS2 and my main pc doesn't have a dvd drive. Surprised with the number of PS2 games it will run and also upscale too. Thinking about turning into a retro windows gaming machine in the future but not sure what version of Windows would be most appropriate for the hardware. Thinking vista or 7

gt 1030 2gb gddr5 ..Core 2 Quad Q9500, 8GB RAM, and 500GB Hard Drive. thats awesome i like to upgrade once
I was surprised by the Q9500's performance in emulation it'll definitely remain the ultra low budget CPU for emulation and retro pc games.
i found a dell vostro 230 in a skip that was in mint condition a few years ago i took it home it booted up into a user acount

Hi. I didn’t change the PSU. Just the GPU. I would recommend 2 8GB sticks of RAM for a total of 16GB.
