I just meant that some people with acne do everything in their power to clear it and it doesn't work and they still somehow blame themselves or feel less than, while other people barely try and have clear skin so sometimes it just literally comes down to genetics.So we should not be hard on ourselves

Literally 😭 I have an extensive skincare routine and I still get bad acne 😭😭
It's a lot to do with genetics. I wear simple makeup most days and only clean my face with soap and water. I have never had acne and the only time I get a pimple is around my menstrual cycle :))

Seriously! I got 2 free IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) facials from my old job and they cost like $800/each (obviously it was free it was at my workplace) and my skin improved DRASTICALLY! And I already follow a good skincare routine that I know would be Hyram-approved! But these expensive treatments (the one i got erased some freckles and literally reverses sun damage) do way more after just one treatment than 10 years of a good skincare routine. So, I really take celeb recommendations with a grain of salt ever since I got those facials haha.

Hey, I so understand your pain. I had TERRIBLE acne for TEN YEARS. But I took care of my skin better than literally anyone I know. 😂 I’m 24 and my skin is finally clearing up for the first time since the end of 8th grade (14yrs old)

Look I’m a 22 father with acne.
Whenever I shave people are hesitant to treat me like an adult or like a teenager boy when I’m not with my family in public.
I understand the pain.
I’ve been to a dermatologist to try and understand hormones better, she told me I couldn’t get rid of that acne from medicine because it’s not pimps but rather small red dots inside my skin. I don’t really know how to translate the real thing in English.
So apparently the only way to get rid of it is from nutrition. Which I’m not ready to adapt ! 😅
SAME, I'm even on medication but it's not workinggg, I'm starting a new medication in a week !

I think you should have a website where someone puts in their skincare needs and the problems they have with their skin etc. and it will formulate a perfect skincare routine for that person and recommend products they could use that might help.

Why is it that whenever I notice that people have good skin they don’t take good care of it but when someone doesn’t have good skin they do take care of their skin. Before I went to the dermatologist I had fungal, cystic, and hormonal acne and dry skin. And I had a good routine. But maybe it’s just me.
it probably has to do with genetics :/ plus people who genuinely have “bad” skin usually take care of it a lot more.

Avery i don’t think so, you are better of using a cleansing oil or balm. I love micellar water to take of eye makeup. You can get it really cheap too!

Avery I use Vaseline but I just make sure to get all of it off my skin afterwards and not leave any on my skin afterwards. I don’t see any problem with it if you wash it off really well! :)

I usually prefer purchasing directly from the brand when it's possible, plus their website is super nice-they have a skincare quiz and formulate a skincare recipe for you based on your needs!

I didn’t realize how many negative effects makeup wipes had! I knew they were bad for the environment because of the daily waste but I didn’t realize the tugging on the skin was harsh too. I’m definitely going to buy a cleansing balm as an alternative. Thanks for the info!

another problem with makeup wipes: if you watch any beauty gurus, they all use makeup wipes to remove their cake so most people (like me) assumed that was the best/only way to get their makeup off. I hated makeup wipes for years because I hated the sticky residue it would leave on my face and it still wouldn't get off all my makeup. Finding Hyram and discovering the world of cleansing waters, oils, and balms has been revolutionary for me and my acne-prone skin :)
