I just bought the T3 bibs. I am 6 ft and 175lbs. Size 34 waist and 33 inseam. Ordered the Medium regular. They fit fine with no excess material ( baggy) and are long enough for me. A little snug in the middle but I think overall these bibs are designed to be more fitted vice loose fitting. I feel “colder” when wearing loose/baggy clothing in colder (especially windy) weather. I wore a more fitted hoodie underneath the bibs. If you plan to wear bulky hoodies or jackets then either order a size bigger to allow room or wear the bulkier hoody or jacket outside the bibs. I would probably use a wet rag to clean the outside of the bibs if needed and Fabreeze the inside several times before washing. If washing, I always cold wash and line dry clothes that I don’t want any shrinkage. These are too expensive to have it shrink and be unwearable.
@@AMAYERICAN Just walking around outside in mid-30 degree weather with regular pants , I think they are great. I like the internal "snow gaiter" down towards the end of the legs if you happen to be walking around deep snow. Have not had the chance to actually put them to "work" but just by raising my knees and kneeling and walking around my yard, they have enough room and do not constrict movement. Again, I would caution folks on wearing bulky hoodies and jackets underneath the bibs: they are a little snug around the middle (torso area). I was wearing a size medium 1620 full tech hoodie and that's probably as thick of a hoody that I would wear underneath the bibs. I will get the S3 jacket. I'm thinking size Medium for my build (size 40 chest, lean torso). Is your S3 baggy for your build?
The Crispi Boots are great hunting boots. The sole is designed to be stiff for scaling mountains, not flat work. You don’t buy a prius to do a trucks job
I’ve had every boot under the Sun, the Hoffman armor pro is by far And away the best, most comfortable and most durable boot I’ve ever owned. Going on 3 years in my first pair and I’ve never had a boot last more than a year tops. I work for the railroad in the signal department and we absolutely shred boots and these have been outstanding. Coworkers have gone through multiple pairs of whites, danner, you name it and these things just keep going. I’m a stiff boot guy (La sportiva, salewa) and these are just the right amount of stiff. Give them a try 100% won’t be disappointed.
@@AMAYERICAN I’m a buy once cry one kind of guy so $400-$600 a pair for boots doesn’t bother me until that becomes an annual expense…but at this point these $400 boots are working their way to a $100 a year investment which is insane….I wear the comp toe model by requirement and they just absolutely don’t stop. Zero leaks, no weird sole wear, no last failure, nothing. And Hoffman is a great company out of kellog, Idaho that 100% stands by their products no matter what
@@AMAYERICAN sorry for the delay, been working the snow storm. Honestly I haven’t been able to try anything more than the usual carhartt stuff. I’d love to try some of the truewerk gear, and I’m really kicking around the idea of ditching pants and going to bibs year round…but I have a ton of weather experience from working all over the country in every spectrum of the weather.
Right on ! What part of the county are you working in !? And are you a carhart fan ? I love the rain defender hoodies, I think the only sweatshirt that would compare are the 1620 brand.
What temperatures would you say best fit the T3 vs the T4? I currently have carhartt, but feel like the truewerks are the far superior choice now for winter work.
@@AMAYERICANI have this same question, I live in Rhode Island gets pretty cold, we have days that hit below 0, many single digit days but overall like 20-30 it is during winter, degrees
I think the t3s are a good bet, on exceptionally cold days wear long johns, I stay pretty active with carpentry so I tend to get hot due to movement. I would just worry about the t 4s potentially being too warm. More suited to limited activity.
In your description you say the quality has declined. Can you please explain this before I spend my money and buy a pair? What has considerably declined? Truly curious, because I want to buy a pair, but then I read your update in the description.
Just filmed a video on it will post tonight, all in all I think they are still the best on the market. They just have changed the cut from a duty pant to more of a hipster cut. Material is stiffer and not as flexible but I feel like they are more durable so may be a net positive. I just don’t like how tight they are in the nether regions with the new design. The video tonight will explain in greater detail
Trying to decide between the t3 or t4 bibs for night hunting coyotes in the Midwest. Do you think the t3’s are warm enough? We go in stand for 20 mins or so and then move to the next stand so we aren’t completely stationary.
I think t3s would be sufficient, you could always throw on thermals underneath when it’s really cold. I think T4s would tend to be too warm for most applications. I like the flexibility of the T3s
I’ll have to check those out! Recently bought some Adidas boot/shoes and they are money. Light and waterproof. First pair of that style and I’m a believer haha. No composite toe though so only downfall if you need a safety toe for job.
@Mayer Construction I've bought so many pairs of boots the last 20 yrs. Finally started experimenting with timberland and got turned onto the boondocks. Zero break in and extremely comfortable. The price isn't bad for the quality you get. Only downfall is they are a touch heavy, but after a season of wearing them you can't tell anymore. I've had my winter pair for 3yrs now with only problem being new laces and insole replacement. Timberland has the best insoles on the market too if you go with another boot/shoe.
Very good for being flexible material in my opinion, I did tear jacket on barb wire fence the other day though but the scenario I think a carhart jacket would of torn as well
Truewerk says I should wear m regular, I’m 5’ 10” an I do own a pair of these m reg. An I will say they are tighter than I’d like. Would you say an large reg would be a better fit?
I’m 6’3 200 lbs and they are tight as well. Think they may be just a trim fit. I usually wear a hoodie and the S3 jacket under the bibs but definitely could not fit another layer underneath tho.
@@FloreFaune fits great honestly, if I wanna be real particular I wish the sleeves were an inch shorter. But honestly I couldn’t ask for a better fit. I feel very athletic in it should have gotten the medium short bibs though
