Well I'm 57 Miley. This a beautiful cover. A confident delivery start to finish. A well thought out arrangement staying true to every chord change. Other than some muting and a few throw away notes you delivered the songs message very well. A trademark feature within so many Pink Floyd songs is the intro attention grab. Your distinct voicing delivered just enough rasp and vulnerability. Great job Miley. Seems your sweet spots in life have been found.
She's been covering classic rock songs in her tours since she was 15. She was always like this but her label didn't want her to move in this direction. I'm so glad she finally got rid of them :)))
Real music is subjective no need for the passive shade for other genres. But ya Miley is amazing like that she's a versatile singer who cannot be boxed in a single genre.
I started to like Miley ,due to my daughter liking some of her songs as Hannah Montana and really appreciated her more when hearing ( get the party started ) when visiting Disney world with my daughter but I am really liking her newest song Midnight sky. And now after hearing her cover of my personal favourite band ( Pink Floyd ) Wish you were here. I am officially a fan. You rock Miley. Your voice is quite unique and very soothing in a raunchy way that I love. You have turned me into a fan of your unique style and creative expression. Keep rocking covers like heart of glass and zombie. You go girl. Luv ya.
Heard this version today for the first time. Miley makes this PF classic sound like a flower power song with a voice that reminds me of Melanie Safka. Well done again, she never stops to ammaze me.
This was so moving, especially during covid. Have listened and relistened numerous times, just to re-expeperience how on point and incredibly performed this cover was
I generally disdain Miley out of a; lovely voice, lousy image and image transition take. In my opinion I have seen her corruption over the years . Meh, I'm a boomer and who cares? Lol. Not me.
@@theroostmandyvixengastationckn Yeah, fame and wealth make nepotism easy. You can look around the feeds to see the paid for promotions of offspring. Dolly Parton is a treasure, nothing sordid about her. Miley? Not so much. Then again, the era was another.
I´m immediately in love when she does such wonderful things. She makes it to her own song in a magical way. I wish she would make a record with these crazy cover songs like Jolene, sweet Jane and wish you were here.
Me agrada ver a ésta Miley, tan fuerte y decidida a ocupar el lugar que le corresponde en el ámbito de la música, sin dudas lo tiene todo para ser la mejor.
I think the challenge now is to find a song Miley CAN’T sing. I’m not sure one exists. I have heard this lady sing pretty much every genre, and make signature songs her own. I don’t care what the haters say - this lady is pure talent and gold.
Her cover of Psycho Killer just dropped for the coming Talking Heads tribute album. Afraid she missed it on that one. But you're right, she can cover ALMOST anything and make it sound good, not just copying the original.
I always like her covers. She doesn't change the arrangements much, if at all, She just sings the hell out of 'em. I really love her voice more and more as she gets older. I definitely think she's in her element when she does rock songs.
i've seen multiple comments from older people, i'm 17 and i love when she covers this type of music. her original stuff is good too but i wish she'd release a rock album, suits her voice so well
I feel the same way. I'm 20 now knew her since I was 10 and I am so glad that she introduces our generation and me to so much good old music. 🌟 She is different than the other disney stars, her talent shows the most when she sings raw like this
She's Growing beautifully. This is a prayer in my opinion, and I am so happy I got to hear in her voice. May God keep her safe and fiercely living to learn more about herself and her internal power
Very nice. Sung with true feeling......well done dear. I'm 63 and saw PF live in the 70s, 80s, and lastly in 94. You did the song justice Miley. Very respectfully.
Completely agree. She reminds me of Stevie Nicks, she has such an amazing voice. I never took any notice of her until I came across some of the covers she had done on here.
LOVE her voice and her version of this incredible song. It’s blows me away how much she sounds like Stevie Nicks from Fleetwood Mac! I love them both so freak’n much!
Hey!! Me too!! I was in another room, heard her singing “Help” and it was so powerful I had to come see who it was!! Now just found this and she’s finally growing into the class woman she’s meant to be.

Hard to cover such an iconic song by such a massive band but she is brilliant and brings her own to it. Agreed an album of her rock covers would be brilliant
Your covers have been fantastic! It doesn't feel like you're performing them. It feels like they envelop your soul and you have to express them. Massive respect!
looking back, why did people freak out so much when she dropped the disney/goody-two shoes persona? she’s a damn woman, with a life, who’s no longer a kid. she’s not a saint, nor is anyone for that matter.
Probably because she did a 180, it's normal that her fans would be like ???!!! 'This woman's musical style that I used to LOVE is COMPLETELY DIFFERENT from what I became a fan of her for!! ' - like that. (I'm talking about when she left Disney btw, not her wrecking ball days) It's not that weird to freak out about it, and people can only say this now because she's 'back to normal' or people see her as not as insane as she used to be.
I don’t think it was necessarily that people were upset with her for dropping the disney persona. I think it was moreso that the hip hop persona she picked up clearly still wasn’t HER. We could all tell she still wasn’t her self. It’s when she stopped trying so hard to “not be disney”, that she really found herself and her voice. THIS sound is so much more her. You can hear the emotion in every note. She didn’t really have that immediately after disney although her talent was still undeniable.
@@ChelseaCookmusic2011 mm, perhaps, but from what i remember, there were a pretty good amount of people upset she was no longer the “disney miley”, especially the moms
Nice version. Wish You Were Here is one of the most beautiful songs ever written, especially given the sad events of Syd Barrett’s life. Thank you Miley and David Gilmour.

Hugs from Chicago!
As a Floyd fan since before I can remember, and even more so as this is one of my favorite Floyd songs, I rabbit-holed myself to this video fully expecting to be neutral on it at best (to be fully honest, I'm neutral on Miley, and am very particular about covers of songs that I like - I thought I would hate this and click away after the first couple of verses). It's been a while since I've been this wrong - This is AMAZING!!!
I too ventuied into this with some trepidation - for the integrity of the song - I have recently watched a few of Miley's perfomances of covers and appreciate very much she is way more talented than pop culture shows - that said - I was in until the na-na-na - maybe Iam just being protective of this song and the memories.
@@theloniouscoltrane3778 Don't worry! We'll be saying the same thing in 60 years from now for Miley's music. The body gets old but the soul never does!
I agree, she has developed an amazing voice over the past, but she won't get far covering classics. I think she didn't manage to convey the true essence of "Wish You Were Here", but I would love for her to explore this trail more and maybe pop out some original, "classic-rock-feeling" tracks on her own. She definitely got potential.

Other than some muting and a few throw away notes you delivered the songs message very well. A trademark feature within so many Pink Floyd songs is the intro attention grab. Your distinct voicing delivered just enough rasp and vulnerability. Great job Miley. Seems your sweet spots in life have been found.
Love the acoustic setting, just a guitar and a beautiful voice.
Wow, Miley is the real deal, gutsy ,brave ,adventurous will take on a challenge, out of her comfort zone,go for it and give it 110% 👍
Why she took the longest path to the real music?! She is born to rock!
She's been covering classic rock songs in her tours since she was 15. She was always like this but her label didn't want her to move in this direction. I'm so glad she finally got rid of them :)))
It's her path, the right path, hers to call...whatever the desire...
I DVD don't it was choice, remember Disney tried to own her completly
Real music is subjective no need for the passive shade for other genres. But ya Miley is amazing like that she's a versatile singer who cannot be boxed in a single genre.
long path but better than no path. glad to see her where she is
I started to like Miley ,due to my daughter liking some of her songs as Hannah Montana and really appreciated her more when hearing ( get the party started ) when visiting Disney world with my daughter but I am really liking her newest song Midnight sky.
Have listened and relistened numerous times, just to re-expeperience how on point and incredibly performed this cover was
I’m 350 years old. I really enjoy it when she covers tracks from those kids from 40 years ago.
Wait, your a robot?
I generally disdain Miley out of a; lovely voice, lousy image and image transition take. In my opinion I have seen her corruption over the years . Meh, I'm a boomer and who cares? Lol. Not me.
Im 490 years old and i love the young crowd at enlightenment
So you've been around since crazy Joe became a Senator?
So wait what?
Please Miley, we need an Album of all the classics covers you did these last months. And please please on Vinyl 2. Would cross mountains to buy one!!
Trained by dolly Parton she knows all music all era's she doesn't disappoint
She is her God mother. Can't go wrong lol
Nice
@@theroostmandyvixengastationckn Yeah, fame and wealth make nepotism easy. You can look around the feeds to see the paid for promotions of offspring.
Dolly Parton is a treasure, nothing sordid about her. Miley? Not so much. Then again, the era was another.
She was trained by her dad and Dolly
I´m immediately in love when she does such wonderful things. She makes it to her own song in a magical way. I wish she would make a record with these crazy cover songs like Jolene, sweet Jane and wish you were here.
This is one of my favorite songs; I'm so glad this artist is singing it now!
Me agrada ver a ésta Miley, tan fuerte y decidida a ocupar el lugar que le corresponde en el ámbito de la música, sin dudas lo tiene todo para ser la mejor.
People forget that she's actually a very good singer
Your 💯 % right because I didn't realise how good she can sing until recently and her voice blew my mind.
To busy getting her tits out
No they don't, it's patently obvious every time she opens her mouth, she's incredibly talented
People don't care. And she's not...

I definitely think she's in her element when she does rock songs.
i've seen multiple comments from older people, i'm 17 and i love when she covers this type of music. her original stuff is good too but i wish she'd release a rock album, suits her voice so well
She just did! Check out "Plastic Hearts", her newest album.
This song was such a perfect gift during the middle of Covid. I love her for it.
This girl feels it with all her soul and you can’t ask anymore than that. Just beautiful!
❤
Very nice. Sung with true feeling......well done dear. I'm 63 and saw PF live in the 70s, 80s, and lastly in 94. You did the song justice Miley. Very respectfully.
Well... Miley has officially won me over these past few months. I really like the direction she's going in lately.
Major Pink Floyd fan here
Love this version , Love ya Miley 🎸🌹💕
Amazing version, I'm becoming a big fan Miley. Just wow.
Good rendition. She should do Fleetwood Mac songs like The Chain and Dreams
Totally agree
YES
Completely agree. She reminds me of Stevie Nicks, she has such an amazing voice. I never took any notice of her until I came across some of the covers she had done on here.

Talking about her doing Fleetwood Mac I found this for you.

This song takes me back to the first lockdown. So much has changed since then. Brings tears to my eyes.
LOVE her voice and her version of this incredible song. It’s blows me away how much she sounds like Stevie Nicks from Fleetwood Mac! I love them both so freak’n much!
Im 66 yrs old. Her original stuff im just so so on. But when she does covers I'm a fan.
Hey!! Me too!! I was in another room, heard her singing “Help” and it was so powerful I had to come see who it was!! Now just found this and she’s finally growing into the class woman she’s meant to be.
Agree, I always thought she this wild child, but when she isn't pondering to the masses u actually see her talent.
I love her cover of Jolene
loving her new cover Help! by The Beatles ua-cam.com/video/cFJWYsoxmvo/v-deo.html
@@PlantGiveawayPH Her Dylan covers excellent too.....
Great job Miley 👏 She should do a whole album covering rock classics.
my dad was in the British army very young..he died of cancer..he loved Floyd..this floors me every time..this is for all the ex vets...great job miley..this is not about having a bad day...if you ever loved a ex get ..they are. forever chained in their miners in a metal cage of pain all alone.. it's so sad.
She’s definitely one of the best rock female cover singers
Damn., this woman can sing anything and make it sound great.!
Yes she’s so talented, her rock album out now
sellcyanidecracksdewrpowerweprwepr
So so so good. I'm a die hard Pink Floyd fan. Love this cover so much. I was blown away by her rendition of 'No Tears Left To Cry'. Unique and amazing voice.....
That was a fantastic remake. You done great. God bless you Miley
Its garbage
7 yeah for sure God bless her she was a punk she's trying to make it better and I think she's great
@@kellypettit8526 I respect that
I'm just watching this and 2024, I'm the big Pink Floyd fan. I have been ever since I was a kid seen them in concerts multiple times. She did an excellent job. Very talented woman.🥰💞💖😍😘
I was honestly just thinking the same thing. I completely agree with you.
Probably because she did a 180, it's normal that her fans would be like ???!!! 'This woman's musical style that I used to LOVE is COMPLETELY DIFFERENT from what I became a fan of her for!! ' - like that. (I'm talking about when she left Disney btw, not her wrecking ball days)
It's not that weird to freak out about it, and people can only say this now because she's 'back to normal' or people see her as not as insane as she used to be.
@@Nanancay that’s understandable, but there was no need for people to judge/criticize her because she wasn’t keeping the disney persona anymore
I am older.I have a daughter Mileys age .She has an old soul.I think some of the younger generations need to listen to Pink Floyd and older artist.Stevie Nicks..Miley was doing a concert,She started singing Pink Floyd's song. She could tell that you get crowd really didn't know it so she stopped the song and sang something else.Miley is VERY talented. I think she is turning into a Queen!!!! Her spirt is Golden. I know Doc Magee that manged Motley Crew and Bon Jovi .ect. So the industry is tuff.Miley grew up in the industry. Her voice is amazing. Hugs from Chicago!
Way2go Miley
she has no voice and no feeling, even Fiona Aplle is better...think about Aguileras voice or Oconnors come on
She did not stop band start play her hits and she say I hear your shit what you play ok
To each his own...been listening to this song since 75..and most of its pop covers..the original emotion can't be replicated..we're getting old
@@theloniouscoltrane3778 Don't worry! We'll be saying the same thing in 60 years from now for Miley's music. The body gets old but the soul never does!
Check out her Bob Dylan!
@@thomast378 thanks!
Miley is really underrated for the musician she is. She’s a legend. She will go down in history. And I’ll live a life of letting people know.
Her rock covers are amazing! I love when she credits her Dad for making her listen to great music!
Legend? LMAOOOO
Why? Because she’s covering amazing music? She’s pathetic
@@Nico-px2hg be quiet
I agree, she has developed an amazing voice over the past, but she won't get far covering classics. I think she didn't manage to convey the true essence of "Wish You Were Here", but I would love for her to explore this trail more and maybe pop out some original, "classic-rock-feeling" tracks on her own. She definitely got potential.
@@jessicatheodore1921 or?
Wow, she excels at any type of music genre. Simply an amazing talent.
Wow what a cover of a classic song 🎵 she nails the song and puts her own signature on it

My first child oldest son passed away going on 5 yrs now and this is my song. Was one of his faves.. I didn't think anyone outside of Pink Floyd could ever sound as good. Thank you well sung
Sorry to hear that, Deana. My feelings to you
I'm so sorry to hear that.. I can't imagine the pain you feel. Sending love to you ❤️
God bless
I can see how this song would remind you how we must all play the hand we are given. Blessed be.
My condolences. It's too short
Not a fan of Miley and the pop industry at large, but props on this cover. A beautiful voice and rendition.
I’m 45 n loved Floyd since I was about 13 this actually gave me goosebumps!
She covers this classic amazingly well, beyond belief just how fantastic her version actually is, absolutely fantastic vocals.
Now that I’ve come across these videos of her I have a new found respect.
She sounds like Bonnie Tyler. I feel like she would kill a cover of it’s a heartache
Yes yes
no she sounds like Joan jett.
She would kill a cover of anything
Bonnie Tyler's voice is raspier.. I love them both
He has covered nothing but a heartache
I wish Miley would do “The great Gig in the sky”. Everything she touches turns to gold! 🐈
wouldn't that be something?
That'd be absolutely epic.
What makes Miley such a great artist is that she emphasizes every word and you hear the meaning and intent of the lyrics !
WOW. I thought I would have every reason to hate this. I remember this song when it first came out. I am not a Miley Cyrus fan.
This was incredibly well done. My hat off to this talented young woman and the musicians who played with her.
Beautiful. I really like Miley's voice.
I love Floyd, i love this track, reminds me of my Dad, "wish you where here " pops
I like this! My favorite part is when Miley does the na na na na part. Miley has a beautiful voice!
Gave me chills. I’ve always loved this song, her voice with it is beautiful.
Love her voice and her passion when she sings
Besides the fact that we all know that she has a beautiful voice, when Miley sings she connects emotionally and mentally with the lyrics, she transmits emotions through her voice
Im an old fart that has never taken much notice of Miley.
Now I'm a believer. Miley is freaking awesome!
I am too
Wow, how long were you holding on, Mr. Fart?
Me too
Agreed.
She just made me a convert. I never cared one way or the other about her.
This changed me mind. She is incredible. 😎😎😎
I’m 300 years old and this was amazing, bring me back to those times
Best part of hibernation: I can see artists for who they are, without a bunch of makeup and auto tune... Just their beautiful raw, authentic and unique, unaltered voice... Just them and their talents... I love it 😍😍😍
Without a bunch of makeup, you really think?
sure cause shes just on her bedroom, like any day, so natural!!
Miley never pretends to be anyone else - great sag leader she is!
Lol! The last 5 years miley has been doing performances like this on tv , without makeup and ofcourse the never did playback, so for a real fans this is just another great performance!
I'm old school but this young lady knocks me off my feet when she's doing old classics ❤
She knocks me off my feet...whatever she does! I am positively smitten by her music, her voice, her appearance. Wow.
@@robertkimbell4621 Her secret: she talks like a man.
Some guys like that until they've been around it long enough to hate it.
I remember watching this when it first aired. It’s haunting, especially with the visuals. And we were all really feeling that whole “wish you were here” vibe at the time. Miley’s good at poking all my feels.
This song has been rolling around in my head recently. Great job covering it ya brought me to tears
Why will it be? ... Deben haber cosas guardadas en los corazones
I never really liked her originals but wow these are perfect for her voice.
This sound is where her concentration should be, her voice is amazing when you slow her down and she gives passion to her songs….one of a kind voice!
