This drone is fire! Barely no lag while it's more expensive drones that can't even hold a signal and they'll have a better resolution. This isnt bad and we can edit videos these days so that's a plus
That might be the case but in my case I bought this drone myself thinking it would be better. What I believe is the problem is I got the CRAPPY WHITE controller with mine and it flies diff than my sons flies with the black controller. For one I get about the same flight time but as the battery wears down in mine I lose alotta control doesn't matter the distance. My sons flies much better as his battery winds down. We have done enough flights now to know if you get an X5sw-V3 with the white controller you get less stable flight time and less range all around as well. My sons drone is good out to about 600ft. Mine has an operating range of about 450 ft... How I know that is the flying field we use I helped build on land my buddy owns. There is civil war era cemetery attached to the back side of the property so he got the township to go with his wishes of declaring it historical hallowed ground and he gets severe tax breaks to keep the land undeveloped. So when I was in my 30's we mapped it out found remains of the old hotel and house as well as artifacts. So we mapped it surveyed it and created our flying club too back then so therefore I can accurately measure flight distances because several years ago we marked the distances when these drones came out and the RTF planes ect. It is nice to be able to judge distances like that. In the fall we set up an archery range closer to his house and people come from all over to shoot their bows and fly their drones. We have some fun weekends here because of his land.
Ok here's a little input about this Drone, You can update the Antenna on the unit, handheld set and camera so you can get longer flight range and still record. You can also update to a 1200mAh battery to get longer flight time. Remember all these unit have after market components.
Just played with mine for the first time and had a lot of fun with it. Within the range, the control is pretty much perfect and I was able to land smoothly every time. I will say what most people say about it: if you don't care about the quality of the footage that much, and you want to have a reasonably-priced, fun drone to get into this hobby, then it's worth it. I am disappointed by the very short charge-span though. A 90 minute charge for 7 minutes of play time, is not good, but for the price, that's probably the best you'll get right now. Is it possible to buy the batteries separateley, so you can buy like 10 and just charge them all up and get an hour of fly time on one go?

I still have one of these and it's 2023! It's a great beginner drone for my step son to learn on. FWI, get rid of the prop guards! It causes it to get hung up on things. I spent an hour throwing my shoe up into tree to get it back once. I think the guards must be for the user's safety and not to protect the props. The props don't seem to be very fragile. It's been crashed, and dropped quite a LOT, and I still have all of the spare prop blades they send because nothing broke yet. I think I have gotten my 60$ worth of fun with this drone.

Great full review. Was going to buy one used of Marketplace for $25. I’ll save my money for another DJI battery. Didn’t know how old it was. Comes with 4 batteries, probably not much life left in them.
Oh boy. I flew mine today over a ton of houses and the signal went. The quad climbed and climbed until the wind eventually took it and it drifted away into the unknown. No doubt it landed in somebody's yard. Oh well, I managed to capture it all on video so it's not such a loss
I have one of the exact one but it seems to have a mind of its own, gonna try some more to fly better my 5 yr old loves it and he does as good as me when flying it thank god they are durable

The complaint comments by Jay are correct. if you get a bit too far it tends to drop like a rock and most of the time comes back alive before impacting the ground but it seems to happen most often when using it with a cell phone. it's like the phone interferes with the control signal. also not practical to fly it FPV because of the delay, almost makes the FPV pointless and with the interface issue its almost a hindrance rather than an improvement. for the cost its hard to beat however it does leave a lot to be desired. Tip: For significantly better flight time upgrading to a 3.7v 750mAh 25C battery provides 15+ minutes of flight time.
Julio Cruz eBay.. And that comment was two years ago. I've seen them now from 1200mah to 2000mah. I'm waiting on my unit to arrive any day now. I bought this same model on eBay for 50 bucks and it comes with four extra 550mah batteries. I intend to have fun with it with my son and hopefully we'll get a way better one by this time next year or perhaps even this summer.

Hello I've gotten one of this and it has a little problem, when it's flying it tends to go backwards, in fact when I try to make it go forward it move very slow compare to when it flies backwards or even when it's suppose to be stable is going backwards. Do you know any way to adjust this? Thanks
I believe there is those small button for trimming/adjusting in the 2.4 transmitter control so if it's going back trim to front or if it going left trim right. good luck.

My son has one. It has a few problems with it. For example, it would sway to the front or the back or the left. It still does that when he trims it or calibrates it. How should I fix it?
The left top button on the remote when I press it on the screen it reads high and low does that mean the drone will fly lower....I used it went super high lost control of it and it flew directly into woods lost the damn thing my son was mad. But I get a second chance now I'm expecting another one soon please video on more functions of the control like when and how to balance it
Nice review, i had the exact same findings in flying my x5sw. Definitely a decent entry level quad...less wind is more fun for this one...I chose not to fly with the camera so far and am getting just over 10min of flight time.
Can somebody explain to me the 2 diff in my X5SW that I see. For one I have a totally diff controller a crappy white controller. Also my camera does not have a chrome bezel nor is the antenna extended like on your drone in the video. All my camera has is a green wire out the back side of it. Also I only got one battery with my drone. The ad said it came with 2 batteries & the on the box it does only have one battery listed.

It is a really cool drone man.it is cheaper than I thought and I really bought it.
If you have this and your getting good at it. Take off the prop gaurds. All they to is carry wind and add weight. It also reduces the battery life.
