I have never seen any female tennis player who can easily hit winners like Serena. She easily hit winners on her serves, returns and ground strokes using power and incredible angles. This is the reason why when she even plays at 80 percent of her level she's unbeatable.
Nobody is unbeatable and I’ve seen plenty of matches where Serena played her best and still lost - USO 2009 vs Clijsters, 2008 Wimbledon vs Venus, 2002 Berlin and 2003 RG vs Henin, 2016 AO vs Kerber, etc.
@akizaizinskii When she's playing at her best, you would struggle to even break her serve just once. Kerber played at a similar level or even higher in the 2016 Wimbledon finals compared to the Australia open finals, yet she lost in straight sets. Serena was serving like a mad woman. Kerber was broken once in each set, and that's all it took. I admit no one is unbeatable in sports especially individual sports like tennis, but when Serena is playing at her absolute best, she's unbeatable. She played well in those matches you mentioned, but not as well as the 2016 Wimbledon finals, 2012 Olympics and some other matches in her career. And don't forget Henin had to resort to negative tactics to throw Serena off in the 2003 match.

This was probably her most uneventful slam victory. Which is funny because it was the only one she got past the quarters of in 2014 lol. Didn’t drop a set and no one got more than 4 games off of her in a single set. Just handled business.
Serena's only weakness is trying to control her unforced errors.
Which is true when you have a high risk high reward game. But in the 2012-2013 year, she barely made any mistakes. Especially in 2013. That year, she was destroying even the top 5. Her greatest year in my opinion.

Serena was incredibly fit in the summer of 2014. Had she maintained a similar level of fitness in 2015-2016, she would have broken the Slam record.
She really let herself go and she has nobody to blame but herself.
She’d have broken the record if she didn’t get pregnant and did lose matches to muguruza kerber etc
