There’s never been a sound like CCR. So swampy and earthy then you get John s voice ! Legendary! Sad what happened with the band. Similar to what happened to Grand Funk
'Long as I Can See the Light' plays the Saxophone 🎉 (must be album version from early ccr) the best! Then react to 'Keep On Chooglin' from Woodstock Great jammin' song plays guitar and harmonica Cant go wrong Love your reactions
Creedence Clearwater Revival, also abbreviated as CCR, was an American rock band formed in El Cerrito, California. The band initially consisted of lead vocalist, lead guitarist, and primary songwriter John Fogerty; his brother, rhythm guitarist Tom Fogerty; bassist Stu Cook; and drummer Doug Clifford.
You would think they were Born On The Bayou because they sound like they are from the backwoods. How a band from the Bay Area of California can sound so unique and original
When you react to "Suzie Q" and "I Heard it Through the Grapevine", please be sure to do the full-length versions. It's well worth your time. For "Suzie Q", there are a couple of live recordings that are really good, like the one they put on the 40th anniversary edition of their debut album as an extra. That would be a great one to react to. Awesome jams.
I enjoy your not constantly interrupting the song. BTW, I'm Cajun and I always appreciate others trying to understand our culture. Vive la Vie, Mon cher ⚜️⚜️✌️✌️
I met John Fogerty when he was in Cooperstown N.Y. for the HOF ceremonies. I got to shake his hands, both of them. He sang "Put Me In Coach" There are over 30 songs in this bands Greatest Hits.... "Susie Q" is bad ass cool.
Not trying to be picky but in case someone would like to hear or react to the song you reference in your comment (Put Me In Coach), the actual title is "Centerfield".
@@rs-ye7kw That's right. I should have realized that mistake. I certainly know the name but just wasn't thinking right.... Very Good Smoke is probably the reason.

I love watching todays younger generations enjoying the music of my youth!!! We knew back then it was a special Era of music...that's why people are still grooving to it to this very day! Thank you for taking your time and sharing with us. 🇺🇸
I love those swishy drums! John Fogerty had the greatest voice and wrote all the songs as well as played lead guitar. You’re gonna love their cover of Heard It On the Grapevine. Great job- new sub!
You should listen to I heard it through the grapevine and I put a spell on you. I never thought I'd like anyone else but Marvin gaye singing grapevine but ccr did a great version, I put a spell on you is just spell binding. Great reaction.
I subscribed to your channel after your reaction to RB's Unchained Melody, a truly great performance. I like your lack of interruptions and giving the performance it's due. A suggestion: when doing live performance reactions, make your reaction box the insert allowing your viewers a better look at the actual performance. CCR was the real deal. I'm sure you have requests for Suzie Q. The album CCR: Creedence Clearwater Revival (bonus tracks) has the studio version 8:37 and a live version 11:45. You can't go wrong with either.
I always thought they were from the south and when I heard California, I said no way! They did a cover of Heard it through the grapevine, you might like their version
More cowbell! They have so much great stuff. Long As I Can See the Light, Feelin' Blue, and Hideaway (Wish I Could) are all really powerful emotionally and really showcase his singing ability.
@@AliasMark69 I have played in bands for years and so it's always an automatic response and I take great Delight whenever I'm listening to songs especially older music like this to listen carefully because there are so many songs that utilize cowbell in one form of the other not just the handful that immediately usually leap to mind, like Don't Fear the Reaper, Hair of the Dog by Nazareth, and Mississippi Queen by Mountain, laugh.

Love Creedence Clearwater Revival, but check out the other Creedence group called Revisited Creedence Clearwater Revisited is the same group without John Fogerty
Being born and raised in the south, it still blows my mind that CCR is from California....sounds about as bayou as it gets!
For years I thought they were a southern band until the song Lodi. I realized they were talking about Lodi, Ca. LOL.
And from the Berkeley (SF bay) area no less!
There’s never been a sound like CCR. So swampy and earthy then you get John s voice ! Legendary! Sad what happened with the band. Similar to what happened to Grand Funk
An unmistakable sound!
Yep, They got that Louisiana sound.
Not bad coming from a bunch of guys from California. 😁😆
Yeah buddy, Artists in the 70's were up against the big bad management and record companies. Just look at BADFINGER😢
Truly appreciated the fact that you enjoyed the WHOLE song without interruption. Thank you. They were a great GREAT band.

Run Through the Jungle!!! John sounds like a baritone voices giant growling out the lyrics. It's my favorite CCR.

"MORE COWBELL"... I laughed when I saw that. I have 16 various Cowbells on my 168 piece drum kit. Every time someone sees my kit they say that phrase.
