Former FBS football player, we trained in weight room 5-6 times a week offseason and 3-4 times a week during the season. Strength training is massive for football and the strength coach is who players spend the majority of their time with year round. You could argue the head strength coach is the most important coach on staff other than the head coach. Thanks for another amazing podcast guys!
I've been doing a mixed bag of training for about 58 years, with lifting in the mix for about the last 52. I'm 65 and the benefits are now immense. I'd add to what you mention that doing it without pharmaceuticals has trained my endocrine system to keep producing anabolic hormones at good levels, since that's always been demanded and rewarded. Remember catabolism is important too, and going hard enough with reasonable food and sleep maintains ability to clear and clean the body in sync with forming new tissue. I appreciate your thoughtful global understanding of fitness and overall human needs. Thank you!
What are these thumbnails? lol. I suppose they are designed to attract a younger audience? Keep it all going gentlemen, MBPP is probably my favourite podcast.
Yeah I remember at one point I had a tiny conTINUOUS 'leak' of sweet while working out after taking it. Like a faucet turned on EVER so slightly. #continuous. LMAO
I think it is wild how well Mark has gotten at speaking. So calculated and always brings in something relatable and meaningful. Love the content guys
Bottom line: your body has no idea how heavy weight is, it only knows how heavy it feels. Slow it down, use a complete range of motion, grow.
Good timing just got to the gym now I know what I'm listening to 👍
I have learned so much from this channel. Thank you all for the wisdom. Blessings and many more

Olipop uses oligosaccharides. It's technically not sugar but it becomes sugar once it gets into your stomach.
LMAO Ultimate Orange! I'm pretty sure that was my first pre-workout ever in the 90s. I think my dad bought it for me.
