    Be sure to watch both parts (1 and 2). In Part 1 I do general review of the mixer, while in Part 2 I do demonstration of the various built-in effects and other things.

    I purchased this mixer a few months ago. I LOVE it!. The Xenyx pre-amps kick ass. Very quiet and clean with my condenser mic and my dynamics. If you need a small board, this one can't be beat at twice or three times the price. I use mine with an A/D converter out of the tape loop jacks to my laptop. Also, they replaced the bright Blue LED with a dimmer orange one! Buy this thing, you'll be happy!

    I'm glad that I'm not the only one who has a sticker over the power LED! It is waaay too bright! Thanks!

    Hi. It's just a small piece of red cardboard about 7cm x 4cm. I think it's glued to the heat sink. If you turn your mixer upside down, you should be able to see like a vent opening. There should be something red if you flash a light into it. The thing is I'm not 100% sure if this is where it goes. If something happens yes I can take it in for warranty repair, but it's just a piece of cardboard. I think its to protect the circuitry from making contact with the heat sink maybe.

    Hi Mario, It's all in the cables - all inputs are on the upper side, where is says "Channel 1,2,3,4..." Simply connect your karaoke system's output to the mixer input. All mixer inputs are 1/4 inch, but there are also few RCA inputs if you want to use these. If you use the 1/4 inch inputs, you can connect one of your karaoke system channels to let's say mixer channel 1 and mixer channel 2 IF (and only IF) you want to use the EQ since the channels 5-12 don't have EQ. I would plug into chan 5/6.

  • @strayferal
    @strayferal  11 років тому

    You're right - No even need to open the mixer. I turned it upside down and on the vent opening I can see inside a black grid (at least looks like one) and on top of it there is this dark-red thing which looks like card-board and seems with these dimensions. It's glued exactly between the circuitry and the black grid. Think this is what you look for.

  • @arturreese840
    @arturreese840 7 років тому

    here's a quick thing that you can do about the blue LED. Paint it with a black marker. In case one layer won't do the trick just keep applying

  • @pdext
    @pdext 11 років тому

    Ok thanks! This is what I thought. The black grid (looks like a fork) is the heat sink. I just wanted to know if it went in between the heat-sink and the circuitry, or the heat-sink and the vent casing. Now I know it's between the heat-sink and the circuitry. Thanks!

    (2) settings. If everything is fine, check the cables - the easiest is just to swap and use the cable that was on the R out and 1 in, to connect it to the L out and 2 in. Keep in mind the audio interface have its own mixer so check it too. Hope this helps, otherwise at least right now don't have other ideas, but right now I am also very sleepy...

    Does it have an option to connect additional speaker as a monitor to each input(mic or music instrument)? and if so, it can be volumed seperately?

    • @strayferal
      @strayferal  6 років тому

      There is an output for monitors. But it serves all outputs as a master monitor output - L and R channel. It can be volumed separately.

    hi gentlemen, when you inser the phantom power, is it present both for all the XLR output? Or I can choose who I can to give it? Thank you so much

      I think it was only for channel 1. I sold my mixer, cannot verify, but think it was channel 1 only.

  • @strayferal

    Depends what you want to do. Yes you can. Without an audio interface you will not be able to record the sound on computer that's all. But you can do everything else like record it on external recorder or just play it. OR you can buy the other model which had built-in audio interface - much cheaper than to buy mixer+audio interface.

  • @strayferal
    @strayferal  12 років тому

    The mixer only mixes the signal. The recorder records whatever signal you feed to it. Yes you can connect both.

    Hi, I wish I could help, but I don't understand anything of electronics. How big is this thing? If you tell me the dimensions and if I succeed to open my mixer could lookup if I could see anything similar and tell you where it goes.

    Hi Sandatahang, well you already see how to connect a microphone, as on the second video (if you missed it, click the link on the end of the video to see it or browse the videos in my "Reviews, tutorials" playlist). As for the speakers, you can connect them either on the main L/R outs or in the "control room" L/R outs. Again, for the microphone - connect it to one of the XLR inputs, unless yours have a 1/4" jack. But it's simple.

    Hi, Does this mixer send the effects to Record ?
    Some mixers do not send the onboard effects to record in a DAW.
    Thanks !

    @strayferal  12 років тому

    (1) Glad to help. So depends how you connect. See my other video "Recording audio on your computer" (click my name, then "Reviews, tutorials" playlist and scroll till you see it). Basically you connect each main out L/R channel from the mixer to each 1/2 channel of the sound interface separately with a standard 1/4" audio cable. You can also connect the monitors directly to the mixer to be sure you hear as you should. From that point check your mixer settings and just in case your Windows mixer

    Hello! I just bought one of these and I heard something moving inside. I opened it up and saw a thin rectangular red piece of cardboard about 7cm by 4cm. It had like some kind of glue pattern on the inside of it, but I'm not 100% sure where it goes. It fits perfecty the dimensions of the heat sink, so I'm guessing it goes between the circuit board and the heat sink. But it could go in between the heat sink and the casing. Can you help?

    Hello, im thinking of buying Behringer Xenxy X1204.
    Question that pop in to my head is do i need certain sound card or smth like that to max out the quality of recordings?

    • @strayferal
      @strayferal  10 років тому

      Hi, The quality does not depends on anything else. A sound card (audio interface) might be needed if you want to record to your computer. However for few dollars more you can buy the USB version of this mixer which will save you this need. For general sound quality improvement - get another mixer. This mixer is good entry-level. For a good mixer, save some 800-1000$.

    Hi, i gotta ask because i recieved this mixer and the adaptor that came with it is 120v. Will it still work if i use a 220v adaptor to power up the mixer? Thank You :) (The mixer came from Canada BTW).

    • @strayferal
      @strayferal  5 років тому

      Hi, I am not much knowledgeable of electriciry, but if you use the proper adaptor, i guess it's ok. But first check the back of mixer where the power input is. And on the bottom. It is written what amperage does this device accepts. You should check for a compatible adapter. Better check Behringer customer support to recommend you an adapter.

M-audio fast tract audio interface (1xlr input pantom powered and 1 guitar quarter inch input )My question is, would it possible to connect xenyx to my m-audio device & record on pc? I've heard abt the aux setup on other mixers which can combine the input channels in a single or desired output channel. Pl Help!
