@mikedeestro Right, but is the input on the computer a mono mic input? On mine its only mono. Even if the input going in is in stereo, the mic input is one 1 input, Dont see anywhere where I can change it to a stereo (2) input. I think its a hardware limitation (on mine anyways. ASUS N82JQ (Win 7))
so what you saud at 1:40, like i have a numark djsystem with tabletops and amixer, i can plug the output into this thing, mix it up some mre as is i record and have it linked to my computer for recording? i have another question, does it work for Linux Systems: Ubuntu Dream Studio?
you just need one of these audio cable with the red and white ends on one end and a headphone jack on the other end. you can get one from wal mart. it's the calbe in the video at 1:15
That was a good review man! :) I have a few questions id like to ask before buying this though.... It would be awesome if you would help me out a little! 1. Is this mixer good enough for mixing drums? I am getting drum mics and i need a mixer to go with it so this is what i want to buy. 2. Can i connect to another mixer? 3. What is the Behringer U-control some guys are asking me to buy?? =/ I hope you reply soon..... Thanks so much! Cheers! :)
Just picked one up, thanks! I've had my phone plugged in and working. Using a phone or mp3 player, is the volume controlled only with the master slider and device itself?
@THEMASKEDDRUMMER1 I think for drums you might want to get something with more inputs. This one has four and depending on how many drum mics you use, it might be too much for a mixer this size. ---- I've never done it but I'm sure it possible to connect to another mixer. It has the output capability, I'm just not sure what quality result you would get. -----And I have never heard of that U-Control.... Hope that helps!
@mikedeestro Thanks for the reply mike! :) just one last question, do you think the number of knobs for EQ, Gain etc. would be good enough for getting a reasonable drum recording? ill take care of the lack of inputs :)
I've tried recording with this to my ZoomH1 but it didn't record anything from the mixer, instead I got sound from speakers/crowd which was no good at all. Can I record without a computer and just by using my ZoomH1?
The XLR inputs are for microphones. Since your amp puts out line level why not use a regular line cord to one of the instrument / line ports? Per the owners manual the line level jacks accept 1/4" unbalanced banana plugs, you get stereo if you use both sides, or mono but you have to connect to the L jack... No need to run your guitar through the phantom power for a mic after all! That little mixer is more than enough for a regular punk band assuming you aren't miking up the drums...

Nice video! Exactly what I was looking for
You didn't talk about the 99 presets, but other than that you gave a helpful video to the world :)

Inst the tape out to mic input to the computer only being recieved in MONO?
So INSTEAD of the ipod going into the 2 track inputs, can't you put in the rca's from a p.a. record out?
So this works as a record interface to any program like cubase or fl studio, ableton or anything? AND works as a live mixer too?? Am I right?
I've tried recording with this to my ZoomH1 but it didn't record anything from the mixer, instead I got sound from speakers/crowd which was no good at all.

+TheTruthseeker707 I was using Garage Band. Try Audacity if you're looking for something free.
mikedeestro thanks man
Hey man, i've just bought this mixer and i've noticed it doesn´t have a power on/off switch! How about yours?
How do I defeat speakers so that I can only listen from my headphones?
What kind of software can I use for Microsoft
@THEMASKEDDRUMMER1 yeah definitely good enough if you're doing demos or just lighter recording projects. for sure.
