Use only Nissan original transmission fluid. If you use other fluids you will get that code! If you didn't switch oil eventually the car will have almost no power when you start, but it will drive once it starts. Once you switch the fluid it will run normal again. Go to Valvoline they have like a dialysis tool to flush all dirt out of the CVT. I have a 2017 with 292,000 miles and it still has the first transmission.
Yeah I changed my CVT oil about 1 month ago and now I got that same code. So I might go and replace my transmission oil with Nissan OEM. I hope it helps.
2013 Altima drives fine unless on a long drive then on a stop to take off will lag to pick up speed. Getting p0776 otherwise drives great what do you suggest?

Hey i got a 2016 nissan altima 2.5 base model with code p0776 pressure control solenoid b. I think its in limp mode atm doesnt go past 40mph in between 20-30mph car shakes too. The car will down shift and also upshift by itself when steady at a certain mph. Would changing solenoid b fix this? Also im going to change both transmission filters and oil. Worst case scenario a new transmission?
They say replace the transmission valve body. Part is like $180. You can open the transmission from under to change the filter and the valve body can be accessed from there. If no power. Turn of the car start it again. If it's accelerate normal. Flush the CVT transmissions at Valvoline (important buy 5 quarts original Nissan CVT and tell Valvoline to use your fluid.) After the flush your car will run normal)
is it a transmission valve body or a torque converter clutch solenoid? my 17 rouge is showing a PO776 pressure control solenoid B Performance/stuck off ?
@@abelmendez8603 ya I have same. pressure Control switch B. I bought an OEM packed Valve Body. Make sure it comes with a CD. If you change the whole valve body you need to tow it to Nissan for re-programing. Some $380. Or you take the solenoid from the new valve body and switch only the solenoid.
@@abelmendez8603 reason for got stuck is I waited to long to make the transmission flush. When the fluid gets dirty it starts slipping. After the flush it runs normal. Valvoline charges like $250 and you can sit in your car and wait. If you keep driving it without flush it will have no or very little power at a traffic stop once it rolls it's still ok.

Here are some steps you can take to diagnose and potentially resolve the issue: Check Transmission Fluid: Ensure that your transmission fluid is at the correct level and in good condition. Low or dirty transmission fluid can cause shifting problems. If the fluid is low, top it up with the appropriate type of transmission fluid. Scan for Other Codes: Sometimes, multiple codes may be present that can provide additional clues. Check for any other diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) that may have been stored in the vehicle's computer. Inspect Wiring and Connectors: Examine the wiring harness and connectors related to the pressure control solenoid "B." Look for any damaged wires, loose connections, or corrosion. Repair or replace any damaged components. Test the Pressure Control Solenoid "B": If the wiring and connectors appear to be in good condition, you may need to test the pressure control solenoid itself. This typically requires a multimeter and knowledge of the specific testing procedure outlined in your vehicle's service manual. The solenoid may need to be replaced if it's found to be faulty. Clear the Code: After any potential repairs or maintenance, clear the trouble code from the vehicle's computer using an OBD-II scanner. Drive the car and see if the issue persists. Consult a Professional: If you're not comfortable performing these diagnostics or if the problem persists after attempting the above steps, it's advisable to consult a professional mechanic or a transmission specialist. They can use more advanced diagnostic tools and techniques to pinpoint the issue accurately and recommend the appropriate repairs. Keep in mind that issues with automatic transmissions can be complex, and it's essential to address them promptly to prevent further damage to the transmission and ensure the safety and performance of your vehicle.
