Girl, you took us to school on this one. Complete with objectives, class content and a test at the end. It was kind of fun. I learned so much about moisturizers and proteins. Never really gave either any thought. I have some of those products. No wonder why my hair is dry sometimes. It's because I was using these products the wrong way.

Wow! To think I almost stopped watching this video when I realised your hair was relaxed - I'm glad I didn't, because this was just what I needed to learn about! ALLLLL of the products I use are protein laden products, and my hair is snapping off easily and feeling a little crispy. I didn't realise, but apparently my hair needs a lot more moisture ONLY! Thanks for this!

I scanned my products a few days ago and realised all my products had protein in them and I noticed my natural hair was becoming hard. This video definitely has helped me understand how to read ingredients lists more thoroughly. Although I don’t have relaxed hair this was very very helpful to me thank you so much! Hopefully my hair starts retaining healthy length again and stops breaking too. I have learned how to tailor my products to my hairs needs in this video

Thank you so much for this video! I have high Porosity hair and they are also very thin and low density. So they are prone to be dry and frizzy. Humidity, whether from rain or in hot Summer days kills them instantly. But also the heat when I use blow drying. Then I need above all moisture. Now I better understand the difference between moisturising products and protein based products!

This video actually helped a LOT you have no idea!!! I searched for videos on protein treatments because my hair has been looking dull and the curls aren’t as defined as they used to be, I was looking for product reviews to know what to buy. Turns out the hair mask I use once a week (when I wash my hair) is protein based and I might just have buildup. I Googled “signs of protein hair damage” and my hair checked every mark 🫣 so now I’m going the opposite direction and getting some moisture, something I’ve known my hair likes and needs more of anyway. Thank you so much beautiful ❤️❤️❤️

@@HairliciousInc No. This is a rinse out. I add it to my hair for 20 minutes before I wash as a pre protein treatment. Thanks 😊

Besides the slew of information you gave at the 1st part of the video, I appreciated the Quiz as it enabled me to practice looking at the contents of the products for myself. That was a most useful practical application to the information you gave. Thank you! 🙏🙂

OMG thank you so much for this video, I've decided to learn more about my hair and start my journey, and these two have been very confusing to me. I just noticed that I've been using only protein products for months because I didn't know how to differentiate them and know my hair is brittle and the texture is so bad. You are the first one that really explained, thank you

This was sooooo helpful! I just realized that my a majority of the products I use are protein based (ORS line). No wonder I have issues with moisturizer. I’m gonna switch it up though. Thank you ❤️

You see! Protein seems to be hidden in everything but once you know your ingredients, you're good to go. Thanks for watching hun.

I noticed my ORS products were drying my hair, and when I read ingredients, it was everything bad. I don't understand how its so popular maybe they just weren't working for me😢

a lot of these products have silicones or mineral oil so they will coat the hair and not penetrate it with the protein or moisture you're looking for so i would watch out for those ingredients also. very informative and appreciated video.

Thank you so much for researching and then doing this video! This is the exact info that I need. There are SO many videos that just tell us the difference between needing protein and needing moisture. But this is the first one that I’ve found that actually breaks down what that looks like in hair products. So, THANK YOU! If you need ideas for videos (and you haven’t done one on this topic yet), it’d be very beneficial for us to know what different oils do on our hair. For example, i believe that some are more penetrating, whereas others are heavier and sit on hair. some are good for the scalp, some are good for the follicle. It’d pair great with this video because my next step is to look up what oils to use after I moisturize my hair to lock it in.
