  • Removing ponding water by lowering the roof and cutting a channel to the drain. Connecting the Torch Down Rubber Roof to the drain. Channels are the most effective way to get water to flow from one part of the roof to a drain. Instead of installing insulation to fill low spots, cut a channel to allow water to drain out.

    Why not install a new drain properly?all that wet insulation under the roof will cause problems. Heat loss mold ect. You guy don't rip roofs at your company? Retrofit drain man. Them bolts you cut hold that drain together.

    A brand new roof that looks like it was done 25 years ago. I just wise I could upload pictures so people could see what a new roof should look like. In all my time as a roofer I have never seen anybody ever put down torch by walking on it. Not using u flow dains and torching on top of plastic cement. Rolling out peel and stick base sheet without using elastico stick primer especially when going over old EPDM roof. How the he'll are you still in business? You try and put down roofer and tell the people that watch you videos that don't know anything about roofing they shouldn't trust roofer. Tell me why should the trust you. Installing new roof over rotting old roof. That's a guaranteed leak somewhere down the line as HVAC guys are always up on the roof doing maintenance. Dose screws are going to go right through the new membrane, but I know you have an excuse to tell your customer that it was the other guys that did it. So you can go back and charger your customer again for repairs and that they should back charge the other guys for the repair.

    Can you please show why when I walk on it my shoes leave prints during tochdown? Is my heat too low and I am heating too much? My run out is uneven.

    • @ericbstudios9807
      @ericbstudios9807 Рік тому

      If you're leaving prints then it's too much heat. Look up some more videos and you'll notice how to use the torch in an "L pattern" when heating the roll down. Once you've got a good bleed at the seam keep going and don't stop!

    and hes a liar the black marks after he torches is because he over heated the rubber membrane. he even shows us the bottom of his shoes. he over heated it so that the rubber and granules adhered to his boots.... if u notice theres no marks in the beginning and never stepped in tar

    What a slack job, why did not you give customer a better drain package rather putting dirty paches over it and cover it up with messy and shaddy craftmanship.
    You should have check weather before you open somebody's roof. Just saying if that helps you in future.

      No material or membrane wil conform to the shape of the drain by just heating it up. There is a fiber material meshed in between the rubber that gives it strength. I guess without that fibre mesh it will conform but will get very thin

    OMG you have to be kidding me what kind of shoemaker are you. You actually post roofing videos of what not to do on your channel. If or when the manufacturer of the material sees this video there warranty on the material will be null and void. Roofing on top of rotting ISO insulation you know very well that when HVAC guys go up there to change ac filters that the screws are going to go throw the new roof you just laid out, and just to save a few bucks you butchered that drain. I assume there is never a roofing inspector on any of you're jod if there is his pockets are full. You should know you are supposed to use a U flow drain insert when roofing over an existing drain.
