IRL, this gun is actually the Japanese Type 20, their current service rifle, not an APC. Much closer fits the theme of the season, and is an exact match to the weapon design in game.

Im pretty sure Japan based its design on the APC556 since it has been around before their rifle. As abbreviated, it stands for "advance police carbine". This fits into the goals of Japan's Defense Force. Pretty common in militaries, like how the M4 is actually a AR-15.

In their defense, a lot of modern 5.56 assault rifles visually look very similar.
Personally it reminds me most of the CM901 from MW3.

Uh guess I must ask how the ISO is OP cause its basically a weaker AKM(Kastov 7.62) less range, similar recoil, etc
The iso isn't op it's just a kastov 762 in 5.56/300BLK with no recoil. They even have the same ttk and fire rate.

@@tankiller9638 The Kastov 7.62 has noticably more recoil than the ISO. Maybe if you build it like an RPK it has similar recoil, but the ISO can have less recoil without sacrificing speed and mobility.
@@dillonc7955 It may have more, definitely visually too, but this game doesn't really have much in the way of recoil anyway. The AKM is perfectly manageable by comparison to its 19 counterpart.
I explain it to friends as the baby of the TAQ56 and M4. Doesn't feel like it hits as hard as TAQ, doesn't slap fire as fast as the M4. It's my favorite - I can agree with that ICR example
As the video went on a second point I would say is just add another receiver to the gun and we can have our cake and eat it too. Someone who wants to jump into faster fire rates use receiver B if you want the 3 hit use receiver A.
I've played quite a bit of ranked and almost in every circumstance, the TAQ-56 outgunned the Hemlock no matter what range.

Reminds me of how The G36C was a sub 700 rpm gun in BF4 for no reason.
Fantastic vid and breakdown. The “Kilo” tlk threw me off completely. Didn’t know that the APC was also chambered in 556 while it was picked up by armed forces as their official SMG. Was hoping the AR ver. of the ISO was rooted in fact and not make believe…considering that this is an MW game.
If you're covering the TAQ-V/SCAR-H. All I am gonna say is that playing with that gun with gyro is fucking obscene. A plain SCAR-H can basically delete people instantly with two quick headshots and stacking with with good gyro or mouse aim, you can hard carry with that rifle.
As soon as you showed the picture of the BO3 ICR and then switched over to shooting the ISO, it immediately sent me back to bo3 using that gun because I always thought the fire rate was kinda weird. I see it now in the ISO

I guess for the next video with the taq-56, it's almost in line with the iso hemlock but do you think the pros will appreciate a nerf this far in? Lol. I think they freaked out when the mp5 in mw19 got its iron sights ever so slightly adjusted
Taq 56 and Kastov 545 both 3 shot with faster fire rates and low recoil
It makes sense that you get Taq-V mixed with the 56. It feels like that's why the SCAR-H got multiple nerfs that were entirely unnecessary while the SCAR-L sits easy on its thrown. IW probably make the same mistake themselves just like they did with the STB-556 and whatever they were calling the 9mm AUG which had oddly slow movement speed by comparison to the AR.
The naming scheme might actually make a whole video of its own if that trends seems to follow other weapons where one has odd stats/changes that feel like they're needed for another member of weapon family.

Funny enough, in the time I've played MW2, I always thought the ISO Hemlock gave me a sense of nostalgia but I ever knew why until I saw the Ghost bundle with the Hemlock blueprint making it basically the ACR and I stg I audibly went "Ohhh" out loud 😂
Quite frankly I don't understand why everyone loves this rifle, nor why it was banned in CDL. I get killed using it more than any other gun, and I consider it one of the worst guns in the entire game.
Feels like the Man o War from black ops 3 and the SWAT 556 from black ops 4. IMO

guns dont have to be balanced to fit with both ranked and casual, its fine if it just stays banned in ranked just like other weapons have been banned before
but if the SCAR-H is staying banned, I'd like it to at least get its BV back. There's no reason it should lose the main advantage of a battle rifle in this game.

I don’t consider myself calling it the OG MW ACR, but for secret gunsmith build, I more focus on the real life ACR.
I do recommend running the ISO without a stock on it. The recoil and accuracy do take a hit, but the increased mobility/handling made it easy to snap onto enemies. Plus, throwing on an underbarrel or a muzzle will reduce the recoil without hurting your overall speed.

This gun is crazy, it took me a total of like 2 hours to get it gold after fully leveling it. It was like a free AR slot for my platinum progress lmao.

Fun fact the TAQ 56 is the ACR in real life as someone who has worked with both the scar and ACR as a maintenance guy the problem is that Activision slapped scar platform parts on the ACR aka the TAQ 56 its very stupid
Mk 17 Mk16 Mk18 and the ACR 6.8 ACR 55.6 are the platforms of guns I have worked with and on very similar guns to be fair

I actually had a customer come in and say he wants his ACR cleaned and I explained to him he bought a Mk 16 he was surprised I showed him a ACR I had in the shop and he said hey that is my gun I said no it's an ACR he laughed
The ISO reminds me so much of the CR56 amax, the most broken weapon in 2019
AMAX was a Galil. In other words: a fancy AK. It has nothing in common with the ISO and it doesn't even look all that similar.

@@BoxOfCurryos a 630RPM weapon hardly compares to a 600RPM stats wise.
It’s the closest analogue in recent years, very similar range and damage profile, but exchanging 30 rpm for about 15-20% more recoil. If you take the meta build of the amax from 2019 and try to match it as close as possible, the guns are almost the same.
The Galil was definitely strong in 2019, but this ISO is nowhere near as close as similar feeling or play style. Galil is basically a fancy AK.

This is such a sus take. The hemlock is not like the icr. The icr had dick for damage - it shot marshmallows. Nobody used that thing consistently except for noobs or if you were on your DM grind. If anything the hemlock compares closer to the acr 6.8 from mw3, the scar from mw2, and the hbr from AW. Low recoil, low rof, power rifles.
It's almost like I said it's a higher damage icr
