People think there's one reality but there's loads of them all snaking off like roots. And what we do on one path effects what happens on other paths. Time is a construct. People think you can't go back and change things but you can. That's what flashbacks are. They're invitations to go back and make different choices. When you make a decision you think it's you doing it but it's not you. It's the spirit out there that's connected to our world that decides what we do. And we just have to go along for the ride.

Personally, I commend the group, Tangerine Dream, for having composed and performed this fabulous and entertaining tune from the 1983 film, "Risky Business." I find it even quite intoxicating as well.
Synonymous with "Risky Business" but the FOX teen drama "The O.C." did an homage to "the egg" and I about came unglued when I heard the song hit. Still one of my top 5 favorite movies of all time.
I love this version, I assume it's the original / from the early 80's because I think I'm hearing some of those really clear PPG Wave 2 sounds cutting straight through the analogue in the mix. They reached an apex at this point in time for me.
I first heard it at the movies....Risky Business, 1983. The train scene, of course....kinda hard to forget it. Still AWESOME. There's always been somethin' about it....even without Rebecca DeMornay....
The combo of her and this song was my sexual awakening, or understanding attraction and obsession...but as an eight(8) year old child. Yes, say what you want, this was that awakening, and it was amazing. It shaped me into something, I don't know what, but I know I felt something that was divine and spiritual.
Axel X A “track,” then. I’ve also been composing electronic music for over 25 years. Song is simply a term that many use when speaking freely, even when referring to instrumental music without vocals. But technically, yeah it’s incorrect...not that it matters.
@@axelx4770 Not every piece of music needs a person singing for it to be good. Would you say the Star Wars soundtrack pieces aren't "songs" either? If its an arranged segment of sounds put in musical order that moves the listener what is the difference?
This is not the original version, this is from the "Tangents" compilation. There are a lot of versions of this composition, but this version is from the 90s
There used to be another UA-cam video of this tune, in which the music is accompanied by black and white footage showing trains and the tracks they travel on, but occasionally, other footage is shown of young people dancing in what appears to be a nightclub (probably in the 1920s or '30s) as well as shots of a sad-looking woman dressed in furs and a hat that looks like it's from the 1940s, and who, for some reason, keeps looking down at the ground. I don't know who she's supposed to be, or what she represents (if anything), or what she has to do with the train or nightclub footage, or with the music. I guess it's supposed to be something surreal or "artsy." I originally saw it on Classic Arts Showcase, a rather obscure cable channel which shows clips of people playing classical music, scenes from plays or operas, clips from cultural documentaries or movies that are considered "art films" as well as "classic," and the like. Funny, but now, I can't seem to find that particular video on UA-cam anymore.
Where the heck can I buy this version? I've looked on all the albums I can find, but none of them are this long... This is by far the best version I've heard.
