The most scariest thing about Erik Killmonger is that he is a dark shadow of T'Challa, a chilling reminder of what he could have become if he let revenge consume him.
God, this illustrates him so well. It's scary, of course, but the genius is in the African music being overtaken by the Hip Hop, showing that while he is Wakandan, he's an American at heart with no real connection to Africa.

That line was incredibly power when i saw the movie...the way he said was so deep i could really feel the deepest, angry, enraged impression in kill monger's voice.
1:22 **T'Challa slowly approaches Kilmonger's cell** Kilmonger: Never thought I'd see you again, cousin. T'Challa: Trust me - coming here was a last alternative. Kilmonger: Alternative? You finally started to look at the world in how it is instead of how you wish it to be? T'Challa: The world is in terrible danger. A force from afar seeks to destroy the people. Kilmonger: Their people. T'Challa: All people. Kilmonger: ... And what I do call this fool? T'Challa: Thanos. Kilmonger: ... Get me out of these chains. And I'll do the rest.
TheAwesomeDarkNinja good writing but Killmonger staying alive and being imprisoned and co-existing with T'Challa and fighting in Infinity War would not have suited his character at all.
Funnily enough, his own life was in his own hands at the end, so... he made that decision on his own. I mean, the writers could totally just say, "Fuck it, he's a really really good guy now" but that's not Killmonger, is it?
Hiring Ludwig to do this movie's soundtrack was one of Marvel's best decisions. These movies usually have such bland forgettable temp track quality soundtracks, it's atrocious.
Only "villain" who's reasoning for why he was doing, what he was doing that actually made sense. He was just fed up and wanted justice for crimes committed against his people all over the world. "All hail King killmonger"
I couldn't help but agree with killmonger his reasoning wasn't wrong, just the method he used could've been better you know the way he went about things but for me he's the best villain the MCU has ever produced besides Thanos.
harol garcia romero T'chaka wasn't really wrong either just the bit about leaving Eric abandoned was wrong. Only people truly in the wrong here is the injustice of the oppressors. T'chaka actually protected his brother N'Jobu from disgrace by leaving Eric. The people of wakanda never knew of T'chaka's brother, N'Jobu's betrayal. It was because of his brother's betrayal many families lost loved ones. Which Klaw was given full credited for. That's why for over 30 years T'chaka allowed Klaw to live as long as he stayed away from wakanda. He (Klaw) would never be brought back into wakanda to be questioned for his crimes. If he was ever questioned the truth about N'Jobu's betrayal will cause the tribes of wakanda to doubt The Royal Family. If any of the tribes of Wakanda ever doubt the authority of the Royal Family the king would be challenge constantly. As you see when the ape men tribe challenged T'challa when they saw him as a weak king who couldn't even protect his father amongst other things. If challenges like this were allow to continue it would put wakanda in a state of Chaos and the King's life in jeopardy till the confidence of the people of Wakanda was restored. (Hypothetically speaking) So what the king did, he did with a heavy heart but for himself, wakanda, and the man just doing his job that his brother was going to kill. Originally he would have preferred to keep N'Jobu alive to stand trial because this was his brother after all. Then he tried to kill the high priest who at the time was acting as a spy for Wakanda. Your first duty as king is to protect your people and uphold the laws, If your king who can't even follow your own laws than your not fit to be king. Honestly N'Jobu should have waited for his nephew T'challa's succession of the throne. As you can see all the death was unnecessary but if any of the Tribes see you as unfit to rule there will be war. That is why only the strong can rule wakanda and that is why they took to Erik killmonger ideal so quickly because they respected him as a powerful King.
Remember, Killmonger drank the heart-shaped herb before he died. He'll probably show up amongst the other fallen Black Panthers in the Ancestral Plane for T'Challa to turn to for guidance.
In MCU, IMO the best villains have been Winter Soldier, Loki, Hela and Ultron. Killmonger is great, but he’s not the best. In the comics, the best villains (IMO again) are Magneto, Kingpin, Venom, Thanos and Dr Doom.
What does Vulture have that Killmonger doesn't, pray tell. Killmonger has a selfless ideal and a tragic past. He's almost a hero. But he is so consumed by sadness and anger that he became obsessed with his revenge plan and sacrificed his own morality to train himself to become able to pursue his goals.
The sadness, isolation, and loneliness of the music, at first...noticeably not Western. Then!!! the sudden heartbreak grief rage. The flutes howl like hyenas in anger and loss. The son of a War Dog screams. ......then hip-hop...the "urban".....take over the non-Western and everything is filled with steady Determination. Quiet purpose. Then there is a polished hip-hop swagger embellishing the single-minded purpose. But, underneath is the non-Western music....still broken and grieving...still lost and lonely. (This theme is absolute perfection and captures the essence of Eric's character so well. It's superbly well-done and it gives me chills to this day.)
The tribal and hip-hop/trap elements sound so good together, a good theme for an even better villain.

1:22 when killmonher steps towards the throne i love that music so much
EDIT: i just love this theme so much
TommyPlayz - games this is not the song tho. The real song when he walks towards the throne is called burn it all
TommyPlayz - games It’s not the same song dude. That’s “Burn it All”
Tommy
Tommy that the song "Burn It All" idiot not this one
Kid has a Minecraft profile pic, don’t expect him to know anything
Black Panther is perhaps one of the only MCU movies with proper character themes.
Killmonger, take your rightful place among Kingpin, Kilgrave, Loki, and Vulture as one of the best MCU villains.
Klaue isnt horrible. Thanos is cool.
Vulture wasnt even that good nor Thanos
@@birons3708 wdym? Thanos is like number imo I placed killmonger at second
Dont forgett Bushmaster
You're forgetting Ultron

I mean they are the most interesting part of the song

Ah yes the second version of vibranium
Since i watched black panther.....i am crazy for this song
Anupam verma same
This is the best villian theme since the dark knight joker theme.
winters soldiers theme is really kick ass too
The cello actually sounds very similar to the "I'm Not A Hero" track from TDK at 1:32
Forbidden Color omg you noticed that too!
Akash Pawar Man of Steel
Unknown User that is not villain theme
His style,his theme,his character,just amazing!!!
He was an amazing villain, his death was honorable so I ain't complaining.
I dont believe he is dead, WAKANDA technology can bring him back to life
@@lovebunnykaz LMAO yes he is dead. wakanda technology CAN'T bring him back to life, technology isn't magic, bro. stop acting like it is.
Damn it, I wish he hadn't died, I could stand to hear that again in a sequel.
D e a d P o o l he didn't die. Remember he is of royal blood. If he was dead they would of given him a royal burial which they never showed so he could be very well alive.
yeah, but considering he tried to kill T'challa and overthrow Wakanda, I don't know why they would give him that.
Phillip Wilson he died
TheRealHerbaSchmurba he can still be visited in the ancestral plane
zBruda yea he still died though
*All that challenge shit is over with, I'm the King now!*
I want a black panther video game so bad
VORPAL he’s already in some like marvel ultimate alliance 1&2
ilikejdmcars Like an Arkham series style
Any superhero Arkham-esque game would be good honestly
Why,it's gonna sucks
Cammel where we could play as Killmonger ? It would be perfect
Who's here after Ludwig's score for The Mandalorian
I didn't watch the show. If I watch it and like the score i will upload it.
I am... such a good composer. mandalorian is great
@@kmlac6596 Are you trying to make people thing you are Ludwig Görenson because it's not working if you are
Nurse and protect is my fav
Ludwig's got a thing for whistles
I’m happy Ludwig Goransson won an Oscar for this amazing soundtrack. I never thought he could blend African Sounds with the likes of an 808 Drumbeat.
Hearing this theme again in what if sent me a lot of chills, Killmonger is such an amazing villain
So deserving of the Oscar Ludwig Göransson !
I found my dad with panther claws on his chest. You ain't the son of a king, you the son of a murderer.
That line was incredibly power when i saw the movie...the way he said was so deep i could really feel the deepest, angry, enraged impression in kill monger's voice.
A.K.A. You're the son of a king, except he killed in ones, and personally.
Hey auntie
...hey auntie

**T'Challa slowly approaches Kilmonger's cell**
Kilmonger: Never thought I'd see you again, cousin.
TheAwesomeDarkNinja aye forget that Killmonger best as a villiqn I hope thanos bring him back
but this is very well written visualized it perfectly in my head. could be a real scene
What he could have done to thanos lol
He needed help to get out of chains lol yeah ok
The bad guys seem to always have the best themes.
I'm going to have this stuck in my head for days now, but I'm not complaining.
Oscar worthy, in my opinion.
Ansh Mathur You were right... 🤔😂
You were definitely right

Time travel in a nutshell
Ludwig has seriously been doing a great job for years, I hope he stars as the musicians for masterpieces
Why did he have to die?
Funnily enough, his own life was in his own hands at the end, so... he made that decision on his own. I mean, the writers could totally just say, "Fuck it, he's a really really good guy now" but that's not Killmonger, is it?
Naoe Kanetsugu well said
If he stayed Alive they'd probably do the same like they did with Loki he started of as a big bad and now he's more of a anti hero
Chris Young he wanted to commit mass genocide of anyone in power
ULTRAMAN TARO!
It's crazy how Donald Glover and Ludwig Göransson went from a music making duo to working on marvel movies in different ways. They killed it!
SCHEM/\TIC, /\2 Donald Glover even appeared in Spider-Man: Homecoming.
Exactly
Hiring Ludwig to do this movie's soundtrack was one of Marvel's best decisions. These movies usually have such bland forgettable temp track quality soundtracks, it's atrocious.
it's more down to Coogler, considering Ludwig has done the scores for all his movies.
I see! That's good to hear. I wish more directors took the time to choose quality compositors.
Technically ur wrong most marvel movies have great soundtracks
Jake Rahaman not true
Jake Rahaman people were dancing in the theater that's how good this soundtrack was that's not normal for a marvel movie
This playing over Killmonger taking the stones was just so badass and lit, i legit hoped he took them.
I love the trap aspect
This really did deserve the Oscar.
I’m going to see black panther for the third time, I don’t care
@Michael Miller wtf
@@bossprime5798 its worth it 😏
Omg same !!!!
Ive seen it 16 times
Ludwig must have been vibing HARD while he was making this. He knew this was gonna be a hit.
hey auntie! lol best part
Caleb Salahadyn Also: -“N’jdaka!!”
-“Whassup!”
Love the subtle combination of dread and melancholy this song gives. Totally works for Killmonger's character...
Only "villain" who's reasoning for why he was doing, what he was doing that actually made sense. He was just fed up and wanted justice for crimes committed against his people all over the world. "All hail King killmonger"
Order of Coagula true
I couldn't help but agree with killmonger his reasoning wasn't wrong, just the method he used could've been better you know the way he went about things but for me he's the best villain the MCU has ever produced besides Thanos.
Order of Coagula For me, the villian was T-chaka. Hi started all. Fantastic performance from the actor of Killmonger
harol garcia romero T'chaka wasn't really wrong either just the bit about leaving Eric abandoned was wrong.
Order of Coagula wow! This made so much sense. Thanks for dropping wisdom sensei! 👍🏽

The best marvel villain theme i ever heard man i hope they revive killmonger back like the comic so we can listen to this theme again
Remember, Killmonger drank the heart-shaped herb before he died. He'll probably show up amongst the other fallen Black Panthers in the Ancestral Plane for T'Challa to turn to for guidance.
Either ancestral plane or if we see golden jaguar armor displayed you might hear it in the sequel
@@frigidfusion1072 Golden jaguar armor ???
Best Marvel Villian
Robert Richards II nah. That's kingpin
If talking about comics, it has to be either Dr. Doom or Magneto.
If talking about MCU till now, then Keaton's Vulture hands down.
In MCU, IMO the best villains have been Winter Soldier, Loki, Hela and Ultron. Killmonger is great, but he’s not the best.
In the comics, the best villains (IMO again) are Magneto, Kingpin, Venom, Thanos and Dr Doom.
Kingpin? He was a manchild until Daredevil season 2. Killmonger is much better.
The beat dropped harder than black widow
Yo💀💔!!!
Beat dropped harder than Gwen Stacy
