If this is about the Fangamer collector’s edition showing that the recital was supposed to happen in 200X, I wouldn’t necessarily take that as official. Fangamer merch differs a bit from Omocat’s stuff (one example would be the art style in the Spaceboy snippet compared to the that of the in-game comic) ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Omg writing comments for each song for sure. It's mostly praise, and some criticism I intended to be gentle. ovo 1. Lovely start, so pretty~ 2. GOD, that's such a beautiful Mari voice!! And the lyrics are so cute and playful and perfect for introducing the DW gang and focusing a bit on Mari's role within Headspace as we know her. 3. THIS IS SO CUTE, HOLY SHIT, WHAT, OH MY GOD!! Basil sounds so small and childish and aaagh the way he pronounces the words even, it's so perfect oh my goooddd!! 4. -SNRRRK- Kel is so great. His enthusiasm getting in the way of the notes and him fighting with Aubrey in the background. Also, these lines genuinely surprised me and I loved them: "I love when Mari holds her hand, with me... All the stars couldn't guide/dazzle me like she can." What a great way to portray Hero's romantic love and Aubrey's admiration at once! 5. Hm, I sadly find the delivery a bit underwhelming, but I do like the lyrics and the way they go with the music. The final line especially stood out to me, and I also like how you gave him some pirate vibes since I often forget that aspect about him. 6. I really like the older Kel voice too! I think it's still really fitting. Kinda lovely to listen to as well, and I like the silly repetition of "YOUR FRIEND KEL!" 7. Wow, this is a really interesting take on this song and HOLY SHIT it's powerful! I love it! I think the way the lyrics wrap around the tune and then break out of it is legit impressive, and so is the delivery with all that emotion! 8. Omg the "hit it"! Afterwards, I think the delivery could have been stronger, but I had a lot of fun regardless, especially with the fast parts and talking bits. Also the cut-off at the end was awesome haha! 9. Hero's voice is so soothing, awww. I love all the references to what he loves. Also I haven't said this yet, but I've thought it: The visual editing is really great. I love the aesthetic and animations! Also omg the change in font in "even if it lingers" and putting it on a photo of Mari. 10. Immediately love the accents lmao! And Hero's part ahahabskedkd it's so fun! When Mr. Jawsum started singing, I giggled so much, holy crap it's perfect x'D BUT WAIT, WHERE'S PLUTO- 11. RIP Humphrey not allowed to sing haha. Anyway, I really like the voices you chose for each of them, and the points where they match the instrumental closely sound really lovely. Though I think there are times in this song and previous ones when the lyrics are a bit squished into the line they're supposed to take up. ^^; 12. Perfect voice for him haha. I will say, a lot of the words are slurred and hard to understand, but on the other hand, I could totally imagine Humphrey talking just like that, especially since he's like a freaky amalgamate who forms and melts himself as he pleases haha. 13. Oh god, I love her singing. It's still so perfect for her. Hits the notes beautifully and lets the emotion shine through (and sometimes burst out hehe) seemlessly! 14. Great Basil still! And ah, some of lyrics are gettin' me. -wipes tear- 15. Beautiful visuals to introduce it! But okay, the VOICE! I think it's really fitting. He sounds young, nasally, and so jaded. Great emphasis points; strange but kind of mesmerizing pushes and pulls and slows and all that-like the ocean is singing; good portrayal of the anger and hatred and bitterness. I'll admit I don't think I ever thought this song would be fully _sung,_ but instead spoken rhythmically like this. It just makes sense. And I'm really impressed that you came up with mostly new words for him to say that still cut just as deep as the canon ones! Possibly even moreso for me? But I'm glad you kept the "They loved her and you killed her" paragraph cause that might be the most painful part of the original monologue. I'm really happy that I liked this tbh because OMORI (+ ALTER) is one of my favorite songs from the OST, and definitely my _favorite_ from an emotional standpoint! I really think you did it justice! 16. I think _some_ of these lines have notes that confuse my ears when layered over the instrumental? But Mari's singing is still beautiful, and there's other lines that once again kind of sound like they're wrapped around the instrumental's notes and it's really neat! 17. Oh this is so cute! I love this song serving as a credits sequence for the musical as it does for the game itself, and I like hearing everyone sing together like that. Overall, I really liked this album and I think it's SO freakin cool that you took on this project and finished it, and I want to congratulate everyone who worked on it! Thank you for your wonderful contribution to the Omori experience! I'll probably come back and listen to a few of these regularly. Might end up addicted to the OMORI cover, knowing me. Haha!
Thank you for the review, and I agree with alot of your criticism! On the writing process, I will say the the lyrics are set to the melody in all but two freestyle songs. I was very careful about it. The lyrics are "squished" because frankly these tracks were not deigned to have lyrics. Despite that, I made it so every note has a syllable, so any time the singing is off melody its a delivery issue. I am proud of what my unpaid actors where able to do considering the time constraints and the lack of support given to us. I'm glad you liked OMORI. It was the very last song written and almost didn't make the cut because it is not a song that lends itself well to lyrics. But there was no way I couldn't included it so I had to get creative. At first I wanted it to sound more erratic like "花 -a last flower-" with distorted voices but decided to go with slow and swaying. Originally his italic lyrics were going to be sung with the violin, but again, it just sounded weird. So OMORI and Whale Whale Whale had to be written free style. WWW is a rap song, so slurring comes with the territory. I had to sings that song myself since no VA wanted the role. For what it's worth, its one continuous take. I really did rap that full thing with no breaks. (I taught myself to sing all the songs by heart before sending out the casting call.) I'm glad you liked my writing and that some people are enjoying this thing with a critical eye. Since everything down the timestamps in the corner had thought put into it.
Amazing! Everyone did amazing in these songs! Truly is a great Christmas gift for many and even something to celebrate the 3rd anniversary for the game! Hope everyone gets a chance to see this!

I think my favorite part of these covers is all the little recurring concepts y'all added to tie different songs' lyrics together. The symbolism of grief, change, and hope through the cycle of the seasons in songs like "A Home for Flowers (Tulip)" and "Duet", Hero describing a lingering heart in "Hanging with the Boys" and then mentioning it in a new way in "See You Tomorrow", the setup and payoff of Sunny's unwillingness to sing... things like that help the project not only pay tribute to the original game, but also use the game as a jumping-off point to give a fresh take on the story.

I can't even begin to say how much this is amazing. I picture myself in the audience, watching this go down. Or...I'm Sweetheart! The most charming and lovely princess in The Dream World. I sing World's End Valentine (THAT SONG IS SO GOOD. ITS MY FAVORITE) and everyone is cheering for me!! This is so good! I love it!

This is really interesting, I like how each of the real world friends get a song, I kind of expected Sunny to have lines in Duet but it was beautiful as is with Mari, and slight correlation in words between Mari and Basils two songs with the 'Here we are' and reference to 'Autumn breeze/Autumn leaves frighten me/don't frighten me' which idk if intentional but it's fun

This is really interesting, I like how each of the real world friends get a song, I kind of expected Sunny to have lines in Duet but it was beautiful as is with Mari, and slight correlation in words between Mari and Basils two songs with the 'Here we are' and reference to 'Autumn breeze/Autumn leaves frighten me/don't frighten me' which idk if intentional but it's fun
There's also some lines that repeat in Humprheys song from Stardust Driving.
